  1. You don't need to tell me the Plazmaman Plenum seems over priced. But if small companies like Plazmaman get squeezed out of the market, who is going to be developing the next cool product we can bolt to our car. The Chinese aren't doing anything to develop new products, they're just making existing products cheaper.
  2. It looks like the good old Chinese are now ripping off the Australian Plazmaman Plenum design... Not cool! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-SKYLINE-GT-S-GTS-R32-RB20DET-BOLT-POLISH-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-RB20-UPGRADE-/320884624722?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab636cd52 There's no business ethics, or copy write laws when it comes to the Chinese.
  3. I paid $590 for mine, new through Nissan... This is a good price
  4. This is a good read... I didn't realise you could fit a standard GTR bar to a GTSt; as I thought the bar was wider due to the fat gaurds/indicators etc. Are there any tricks to making this work? Or does it bolt straight up?
  5. Hey Steve, by cam covers do you mean rocker covers? Can you post pics?
  6. We've got too much in common.... I also have a 32 with a RB25DET fitted, and... my wife is pregnant with twins!
  7. It's best to run the positive wire under the car, rather than through it. You don't want to risk the cable rubbing over time, earthing out on the chassis and starting a fire. When I put the battery in the boot of my R32, the positive cable clipped nicely into the HICAS holders along the underside of the drivers side of the car.
  8. tufrx3 used to sell these fittings on here and -12 was the more popular size for the RB26, as -10 is a reduction in diameter on the standard vent size of the RB26.
  9. Are you planning on making -12 fittings for RB26? I already have -12 fittings, so am committed to that size.
  10. Would you be willing to sell the head separately? I'm looking for a complete 26 head for an RB30 project
  11. I'll take the stock cluster, if you can do it for $50 incl postage to Nowra.
  12. After reading all these post I've come to the conclusion that I probably went down the wrong path when I chose the plenum for my setup. What I went for is a copy of the Jun manifold with a 80mm throttle body, this setup would be ideal for a RB2530 due to the peak power it can flow and it would also negate the bonnet clearance issues. But for my setup (given my car is a daily drive) I could do with the extra torque low in the rev range that the Plazmaman would give. The shame is, I love the look of the current manifold... So if someone is looking for a manifold like mine get in touch, as it may give me the nudge I need to bite the bullet and go for the Plazmaman.
  13. Yes it is designed for the standard R32 N1 front bar (see the 2nd photo, in the first post) I can't see why it wouldn't sit flush with the N1 Lip, though I haven't personally fitted one to the N1 bar. With a little modification to the attachment points you can modify this to suit almost any R32 front bar, as I've modded mine to fit two very different bars on my car.
  14. Here's a couple of photo's of my car from the front. Please note though that my front bar in an aftermarket fibreglass one, and not a standard GTR bar. The front of the diffuser is hiding underneath the splitter extension I glassed onto the bar.
  15. There's a little window that is held on by two scews to access the oil drain plug. If you look carefully at the first photo, and you'll see it. I haven't found changing the oil to be a hassle.
  16. For sale... Fiberglass front diffuser to suit R32 GTR (brand new) This diffuser will improve airflow under your car to increase front down force, while also channeling air to your front brakes. This will also fit a GTSt, but if you're running a standard front bar you will need to modify the attachment hardware to raise the height, to match the bar. I've been running one of these on my car for the last couple of years, but recently had to change the front bar due to an incident with a Wallaby. I bought a second diffuser as I thought I'd have to modify the attachment points to suit the new bar, but as it turns out I didn't need to use it. So I'm just trying to get back what I paid for it. $250 + $25 postage Australia wide Local pickup is available from Nowra, NSW.
  17. I use my car for street driving, but the Arizona Z Car package has been designed for the track, just have a read of some of the testimonials on the site. When I bedded in the pads, after the 10th hard stop in a row from 110 kph, it was still wanting to lock the front tires, with no noticeable fade.
  18. You'll also see that Dave's kit runs even thicker rotors (at 35mm) and the alloy hats are a different design. Awesome quality though, so I've been very happy with the purchase. All up they came in at about the same weight as the stock R33 calipers and discs, which is a pretty impressive feat given the size increase.
  19. Hey Phil, Again I see that you seem to be buying the same gear that I run on my car. I've been running the Superlight 6 piston Wilwoods on the front of my car for over a year now, and yes they fit under my 17" rims. I purchased my kit through Arizona Z Car in the US, and I believe you'll get a better deal if you go through them. Contact Dave and see what price he can do for you without the brake lines, the link for his site is: http://www.arizonazcar.com/ I did upgrade my master cylinder to a 1" item from the R32 N1 GTR (non ABS) but as you've worked out, the upgrade isn't necessarily required. Hope that helps, Ryno
  20. I used one from an S13... You've got heaps of options
