  1. I wouldn't be worried about breaking the diff, they're bloody tough, so you'll usually break something else before that goes. Your question should be: will my viscous LSD centre be able to put the power down to the ground? You won't know that until you go for your first drive, and see if it spins both wheels off the line.
  2. The GTRS is good, as you probably already know, but it's not as responsive as a stock turbo (probably 500 rpm or so later). So if I can close that gap a little with a decent manifold, I won't complain. I have the same thoughts on the RB30, I realise you should go a bigger turbo, but I'd be keen to see how it goes with the GTRS. Surely even being chocked up it won't make less power than my RB25, but with a heap more torque low down.
  3. If I can get a faster spool with the 6Boost manifold, it may stop me from doing a RB30 conversion. The extra torque is what I'm after.
  4. I'm in the same boat, and am trying to find what manifold will be best to upgrade to. Does anyone know how far from the stock location, the turbo will move, when fitted on the 6Boost low-mount manifold? It'd be good if I didn't have to alter my dump pipe and intercooler piping too much.
  5. I'm interested, but would like to see an image of the actual door card for the R32 before committing to the buy
  6. If the turbo suddenly takes longer to spool up the issue could be a blocked/collapsed catalytic converter. I had a hi flow metal cat that I bought through an SAU group buy a few years ago, that the insides collapsed and blocked up a few months ago. The only symptoms were a slower spool up of the turbo, and my peak boost decreasing below what the EBC is supposed to maintain. I thought the Boost controller was the issue, so I swapped that out, with the same results. So next I thought the wastegate could be the issue, and swapped that also. After this didn't fix the problem, I took off the cat and had a look. It was almost completely blocked due to the breakup of the stainless mesh inside. It was a frustrating learning experience, as the cat would have been a pretty simple thing to initially check. I guess I figured when you spend good money on a stainless "Magic Cat" it should last more than 18 months. Sorry to hear about your gearbox breakage, but while your fixing that issue, I'd also take the cat off and have a look inside.
