Did you take pictures? By all means, oil top ups is bullshit, but if you took pictures showing that no damage to tail lights, then you've got proof. With a camera in nigh-on every phone, there's almost no excuse not to extensively document anything that happens. Not trying to be an arsehole here, just hoping you covered yourself.

I don't get any shit for my car *knock on wood* and have never been defected in it - happy to provide some pics of what I've got done. (though i'll need to take them on the weekend - car is ~ 100km away) it's fairly stock though, so that's a good start.
