  4. Hell Fire, PM sent, I'm counting you as in! Kind words Geoff! thanks mate. As for the car wash, its true to the best of my knowledge. Mark the instructors daughter is one of the kids goin! Its a great thing to go to somebodies home and help them out. The least i can do is support their personal convictions and let them help where they can! (I'm not always mean!) lol There is 2 weddings on my skid day! Lost half my regular skidders. man i hope it rains like cats and dogs! Aaaaaarrggggghh hahaha ha haha...!
  5. I just got an email, and a large part of my skid group are changing skid dates.. I have 7 spots to fill. If you want in, PM now. This wont last long.
  6. Kody, What do you mean by kids? If they are younger than you, then NO! Their heads are full of dumb ideas and they do even dumber stuff. I try very hard to steer away from people and groups with silly rot in their heads, they cause lots of trouble and are not interested in being part of the group and playing nice... I have beeter things to do than be a mum to a bunch of egg heads who think they know everything.
  7. ok, sorry guys, I dont have pics cos i moved the throtle ages ago.. I will see if i can get to and mod one of the million skylines around and take foto's for you. As for the AF ratio, I didn't notice stuff all change! The engine still consumes air in the same way, just that the intake temp is a bit lower, which in thery should have a more dense air charge. If somebody has done a dyno run, that would be interesting.. I noticed that the throttle was more scrisp from cruise onto power. This trick will work on any factory engine that uses coolant to 'warm' the throttle. In the old days of carby's, guys used to add a non-heat transferring device or spacer between the carby and the intake manifold to do the same trick. Yep, factories have been doing this to us for decades. that help?
  8. I thought I should also mention that I have a youth group that do the car wash. I supply all the gear, including Mcguires car wash. Its $8 for a wash and chamioux. They are raising funds to go overseas and build schools for orphans of war, all money raised goes to the build project. So bring $8 and help them out, and you go home in a nice clean car after a day of skidding, No washing your car on sunday! Thats gotta be totally awesome for ya!

  10. Well thats not much help.. lol maybe next time!
  11. Wow, reading all those roads brings back some fond old memories of great corners and rolling hills, I have been on nearly all of those, but we some times join 2 or 3 together on a round trip! Last time, we went to Mt glorious and zig zagged our way up to montville (long drive!) and out to kennilworth! so when your done done down Brizzy way, head north! its worth a stay in Montville at a B-N-B, the girls will love you for it, then treat em to the waterwalls at Malaney next day.. You get to cruise and corner, the girls have a great weekend out! We also went right over the top of Mt tamborine and out the back way home(north) not that exciting in itself(no where near long enough), but stop and go to their distillery!
  12. 1 more spot free, any body else interested?? Watch this space.. There maybe 2 more spots coming, it looks like a Guy and his Girl have booked their holidays 1 week early, they are a little bit confused! lol I will post up conformation probably within the next 4 ~6 days! thanks

  20. Kody, I am not overly keen on having 2 people drive the same car.. I just gave both you guys a skid day, you will have to be content with the one spot this time. You will have to learn to share! I have sent a PM to the above Jason, is that the same person? PM sent to ROB. If these people play, there is currently no other spots up for grabs today! I do NOT have ANY cars on the reserve list at this stage, If you are interested, PM me or miss out on getting first on the reserve list!

Before you ask a bunch of other silly Questions.. read the other threads marked with the BLUE '?' mark! There is also a sticky to read, Nissan-R33 thread, and all the old threads.. If you have any other ligit Q's.. ask away!
  24. ok, now everybody has had a massive vent.. lets get onto the really technical stuff..?
  25. No doubting that the 2J is an awesome machine.. But I'll be stuffed if I'm gonna drop one into my R33, So, I'll be building what is mechanically the same type of engine, 86mm bore/stroke, twin cam head, 4 valves per cyl. I put a turbo om my mates 2J that is the same specs as my turbo.. and now I want to upgrade the capacity even more! I could not agree with you more in respect to the boring and honing issues! I have screwed a hone before! smoker! But I knew i made a hack job of it, and the whole 'build' was a mad rush. The stock compression seal of the RB30 is very good, as seen by the sheer number of VL's and R31's still hooning around. every time i start gearing up for ia build, the money is needed for something else. But the compression seal issue is not only restricked to a hybrid. In my opinion, send your hard earned $$ to somebody like SK(or similar type of person who races and pushes the limits of the engines) who knows these things backwards and get it done right the first time. He knows the clearances he is after, what pistons to use, how much they grow, what rings to give it, head gasgets.. the whole box and dice. If you dont know all these answers, dont just buy a bunch of parts and try to get some poor bugger to put it together and expect an awesome outcome. If you do, you might end up with an engine that cost a few grand that doesn't go and smokes all the while it isn't getting there.. might as well buy a diesel! lol Thats my 3c worth. and like i said, want a 3L skyline, go do it!
