  1. ok, I have conformation from the Maryborough crew that they are coming with 7 cars, and are all paid up! they are an older bunch of cars, so mix that with some of the Jap cars coming from bundy.. it will make an interesting day! If you are reading this and booked in, NOW is the time to pay. If you have not paid within 2 weeks of the skid date, U will lose your spot and I will sell it to somebody else who does want to pay.. If you are wanting payment details, Please PM me, or Nissan R33 (Lars).
  2. Honour and respect are two great values that seem to be long lost in our modern living.. I know a diesel mechanic just like that, pitty he is crap with pretrol. I read this post with interest and notted no vegatives, no mess or slander.. Hmm, does that make him a guru? Anyhow, I am sure the whole expereince has left u with a very warm, humbling, fuzzy feeling. I bought a 6 pack for the last guy who displayed traits like this, i did it when my mechinist did an all nighter to get a bunch of parts ready for me when i needed them done yesterday and i was knee deep in a broken car. He was more than happy to do it, and asked me to call again next time and bring a pair of 6 packs to share with him... Congrats Noel!
  3. call me passive agressive, but if they dont move after a short while, i give them a very quick flash of hi beams.. this usually jolts them into wanting to get out of the way.. If that fails.. then its a love nudge! lol

  7. There is 'Jackass creek' sign on the highway just south of Gympie near the block works. It has been stolen sooooooo many times that the posts where there more often than not with no sign.. last time it was taken, well they took the posts as well! Last I heard the council was refusing to replace it! Anybody found a Boost st? ohh, kinda car related, there is a 'Beer Rd' in Kilkivan. My mate used to live near it, he never got a chance to 'borrow' it, cause it was always taking a drunken walk someplace... I say car related, cos if you have to much 'Beer' and end up on 'Accident Inlet' you will be left wondering, at what point should have I turned left?
  8. Cam crt Victoria point Bonnet Pde Mango hill
  9. Yea I know about turbot st, but I do beleive there is a turbo st.. u know what, now u have me, I'm gonna look it up... hmm.. yep, its there! Bllllatthhh! ha ha ha! near kangaroo point!
  10. Ok, so now i've got u interested.. it goes like this- Name a car related rd, st, cres, bvl, chase or what ever that is in Qld.. Eg, 'Skyline Hights' in Gympie 'Turbo St' in Brizzvegas 'Blower Rd' near Wooloolga Remember.. We all can use the net to check it out!
  11. SAU exculsive skid day comments.. Like always, The SAU 'group' was a great crew and behaviour was top notch. I will be posting up results when i get a little more time to do it.. I beleive that everybody learnt alot from the tuition from the tech session, and that the info was of good use in the time trial. Everybody was driving a great deal better by lunch time and I am glad to say that I am more than happy to welcome SAU back for future skid days! Like always with the SAU skid day, the day is restricted to members first, sometimes somebody pulls out, so SAU ask for other skyline owners to play for the day. If you want to get onto that list, please contact 'Pear' on the forum! Thanks Aaron
  12. so far i have been stone walled, but i am not one of those guys who gives up easily! got my new wheel alignment from my brother-in-law tonight! I will be hitting them for that as well! and the rental ute from my mate.. and hmmm, i'm sure there is more.. Thanks for the support guys!
  13. the biggest part of the crew that wanted to go have decided to go deep sea fishing.. sadly our group is now very small
  14. So, we have now gathered that the driving part is true.. which sadly i already knew! and nobody thinks that ham in ham-burgers is cool.. we are more than happy with our hot chicks/babes what are the current thoughts on our drinkable air?
  15. Well, why dont you go to the kitchen and get some food.. hey, while your there.. can you get me a beer! Actually, can u get me 3 beers, that way i dont have to go later lol
  16. ok, not a bad try.. some of the guys dont like it, but they dont have to look at it 24/7 do they! If it were my car in my garage, the build would go like this: use the same size circle.. a nice pollished stainless steel front sheet, then cut the 'Z' out, in the middle of the sheet. mount another sheet about 25mm behind the hole of Z of the front sheet, so u end up with 2 sheets 25mm apart, one behind the other. add a round neon or some LED's and bonza! Instant glow lite for a really slick finish! But that would be MY way! lol, ATM, i just got a genuine nissan flag!
  17. Yea it sure is a great program. If anybody finds a program that is able to cope with multiple pipes, PLEASE post it up! I have sort of stuffed around with making a paper exhaust manifold (just because!) and i think that if you cut 3 bits of paper for the one pipe and rotate them so they notch properly into the other pipes.. but i ran out of time and my 3 year old turned it into paper mash! aaaarrghh! pipe notcher.. hmm, can u get it to do multiple pipe joins? research time!
  18. Hey John.. welcome back buddy! hmm, dunno about spots.. PM lars I'll send u a pm
  19. Yea.. cos i'm in Gympie doesn't mean this issue is only stuck to this region! I rang a mate who used to work for them, and he said that it is a main-roads job that is contracted out to the local council. He gave me a name and number to ring.. He also said that it is not the first time that this kind of thing has happen and that the council has paid for replacements before.. of course its totally up to their descression. He told me that i should take the whole tyre in for them to inspect to re-enfroce my point! Guess what I'll be doing on tuesday!
  20. Ithink they were trying to make the point about our culture of being so easy goin.. then get into a car and.. well, all heck brakes loose. I noticed nobdoy comented on the girls! I personally loved their way of stating our climate.. drinking air!
  21. I was talking to a pair of travelers during the week, one scotish and the other Canadian.. In a nut shell they made the following comments about us hot Qld ozzies.. 'The babes are great.. none of you can drive! its so stinking hot and sweltery with the humidity, that u can drink the air.. ur so laid back that u are to lazy to go to the fridge to get another beer, but take ur car park and its a battle to the death.. hamburgers dont have ham in them! and what the hell is with none of u using indicators?' After about 15min of trying to defend myself.. i had to agree! So, the question beggs.. are they right?
  22. i got a flat tyre.. read my thread! nope, I'm stuck till i get a new tyre. I WAS heading towards the sunny6 coast...
  23. So the useless moron council have been ripping up and compacting and re-ripping up and re-compacting a 600m stretch on the road on my way home for about 8 weeks now. Stuffs me what is so freaking hard about it that they have to keep doing in every day.. today was the last straw! On my way home, i had to drive through a slush pit of a thing called a road cos they over watered the daylights out of what is supposed to be a road.. Unknown to me, i ran over one of those flap things that are kinda like 'cats eyes'. It flapped like mad and made a massive noise! I tried to pull it off, but couldn't, so limped the rice-line home with the dreadful death rattles. i get home and hear a VERY dreadful noise.. hssssssssssssssssssssssss. Washed the mud off the tyre to find a huge galvinised nail holding the flap to my tyre! This is the part where i went totally burko and ranted about the retards that the council hire and how THEY wrecked my good front tyre.. cound have been my near bald rear tyre.. ohh no! My wife hears me goin off tap and like the brilliant woman she is, hands me a nice cold wild the sphincter of the universe! Now, so i can direct my filthy anger in the right direction.. who in the council do i shoot my profanities at? I am thinking that i should take the whole tyre with flap nailed to it, into their office and DEMAND a new one.
  24. your idea is noted.. hmm, I can just imagine you doing a hand brake park in front of your local cop shop for a demo.. I'm guessing that you are talking about a 180 degree park, and parkin the car on the other side of the road? I have already been givin the idea by both Bruce and Lars.. I started out trying to get you guys to be smooth and precise, never thought that it would create skid monsters like you guys(not that i can talk!)!
  25. I was thinking about your example SydneyKid.. i think you made a strong point.. but after thinking more about it.. i think there is more to it. The pipe before the intercooler gets REALLY stinking hot after a good hit of boost.. y? The hot air may only see a small part of the pipe for 0.2 seconds.. but, as a whole function of the boost episode, that one peice of pipe 'see's' lots of hot air for the 5~10 seconds during that boost hit. So, I think it stands to some reason that when you are cruising, the pipe that returns the cooler air from the intercooler has a chance to warm up as it travels past the radiator on its way to the engine. The air is in a generally slow flow mode at cruise, under no pressure and has ample time to absorb heat from the pipe as the air is cooler than the pipework.. This is why i think i felt a 'seat of the pants' better throttle responce going from cruise onto boost. I think that is why i cant 'feel' any difference on boost. I think you are spot on with your thoughts when the car is on boost, but on cruise i think it works backwards.. What i do know.. my cheap-ass stubby coolers have been there for ages.. and i aint taking them off! thoughts?
