  3. Hey luke, How much difference does a half cage make? Does the chassis feel tighter? Does it help much with going sideways? Where are the mounting points on a 4door? Is it very difficult for passengers to get in and out of now? Did you have to chop much of the interior trim?
  4. Hey gents, it was me who had a poke around the car when it was in the gueling area, and I must say it looks amazing! The quality of work is awesome! We you happy with the way it performed? I think it was a great result considering some of the other cars that were there
  5. +1 for drifts with a lock bar. Its dangerous and silly system. It makes drifting a heap easier too without the car donkey kicking the steering wheel mid drift
  6. get a second hand brand name turbo exhaust for your model. Its cheaper than that, yes, you will loose a little bit of responce, but you will gain more at higher RPM Thats my 2c

  8. Im with Shane on this, get a proper gearbox. But in all honesty, unless your prepared to spend a fair bit of money.. there isnt much, get a snail. I know its a cop out. but its the best way But the basics are as nath explained, get the engine to breath better, intake exhaust, advance the timing. This can be done on a reasonable budget. But gains are minimal. Any more from there, your going to throw a couple of grand money at cams, cam gears, ECU and tune, for considerable, but not huge gains. Futher from there, your looking at ripping the engine out. If you wanna go fast in a straight line, buy a rotor, they are still P Plate legal

  11. I too noticed a tighter and more direct front end. She is a little bulky with the front diff and half shafts etc though. The only thing a rear one did was add a little weight to the car.

  17. Sorry mate, I haven't remebered, and 27 pages is along way to sift through, but what tie rod and tie rod ends did you use to acheive so much lock? Anything else that would assist getting so much steering angle? The Project I LCA's. Anything else? Im sick of hearing guesstimates of how much lock ill get with dodgey second rate products. At least this way I know its quality prts and a clear answer on how much lock

  21. yeah, right.. I already locked it out hydrolically, now its just time to remove the ECU and remove the harness from it. There are two connector plugs n the back of the hicas ecu. I have already disconnected one from the ecu, the light is off and the speed seneitive steering is still working as the steering is still light at low speeds.
  22. Been following this very closely.. Im looking at doing something similar very soon too. How did you electronically remove the HICAS system whithout making the steering go heavy at low speeds?
  23. That looks like a great build! Its a massive shame its in sweedish, becahuse there looks like there is a huge amount of information there that seems interesting and quite helpful too! Just a couple of questions, Whats the car going to be used for? And why stick with the CA and not go SR?.. I suppose less poeple run CA's so its a little more different..

  25. Progressive springs. Enough said. The further the spring compresses, the stiffer it gets. Second hand ones can be found quite easily.
