  1. How deep is your wallet. Plenty of options available. I am using a j/b full monty clutch. standard 25 gearbox. Custom hardy spicer tailshaft anda gtr alsd and half shafts. I guess my gear box is the weak link or so they say but it hasnt given a moments concern to date. If it does I will look to updating it with stronger internals. There are a squillion clutch options out there as well as numerous g/box and t/shaft options. Do a search and you will find a group buy on carbon shafts ex usa. That might be more to your liking. In the meantine dont cry until you get smacked. You might be surprised how strong the standard drivetrain is if you are not an abuser.
  2. If the very car in the pic had a decent front bar i am quite sure most of us would get wet over it. That stupid looking twisted mess on the front of it just kills it tho.

If you are referring to the nitto drag radials there are other things to consider, They will be very much like the mickey T's in that sure they will bite when they are warm but they will also have a softer sidewall which makes them bloody hopeless for general driving where corners are involved etc. I am punching out around 370 rwkw atm and i have no probs hooking up. Good suspension and federal semi slicks work fine on my car. Sure I can snap it free if i want but driven properly it tucks and bites no probs at all. As for your drive train concerns if you were worried about it why the hell did you mod in the first place.
  6. Listen to Lazy bastard. He did pretty much the above with injectors and had a 265 rwkw ride that was as responsive as and very reliable.

  9. Please yourself dude. they told us all the same things and we did all the same things and more to prevent issues with the braided lines but it still shit itself. I hope yours doesnt but from personal experience you are running a risk. It cost me a turbo.
  10. ok so I'll ask one more time. (nicely) Where are these beat all or die prices you crow about. Have a look at the trader section and you'll see there are plenty prepared to put it out there. I have purchased an awful lot of componentry for my car and If i had to ring everybody looking for the "best price" I would go broke in phone calls. Put them out there and if they are as good as you claim and you have stock I/we will buy.
  11. My old man gave me a sage piece of advice when I was a youngen. "drive like everyone else is trying to kill you" were his words. I tried that and ran late for everything so i figured he got it wrong. Now i drive like i am trying to kill every other prick out there and i am never late.
  12. Just in the process of replacing the braid down through the manifold with hard lines. Do yourself a favor and do it right from the get go. The braid has limited life under those heat conditions despite being double wrapped and hard shelled with heat resistant material.

  18. If i cant shut mine up i dont think you have a snowballs chance in hell george.
  19. Dont be afraid of them, I use them and they are fine. just replace the washers under the locking screws for slightly larger ones for a more definite lock and you will have no probs.

  25. Just picked up my new custom 2 piece tailshaft from hardy spicer. Wont be running it for a few days but if looks are anything to go by its a winner. massive unis, thicker wall tubing, heavier yolk. All brand spanking including centere bearing for around 1. kay. My mate has ben running this on his race only 33 for a year or so now and its been bomb proof to date. Looking forward to it as I am over the vibrations in the car caused by non serviceable uni joints.
