  1. You have to admit, that V35 in the link is a pretty sweet looking car. I've only ever seen auto V35's though?
  2. That may very well void the warranty she was keen about.
  3. Just knock her up. That will make her come down. Nah just kidding. If the mother in law is like this, then I'd say that she would be more of a pain in the ass if you lived up there. Just tell your gf to come down for 3 months, then a little more next time etc etc. Like others have said, her mum will eventually get used to the idea.
  4. Nissan have them for $9.95
  5. For pure sports thrill/track car, but uncomfortable ride, go the EVO. For an every day car with a little more luxury, a nice ride with as much power as the R34 GTT, go the V35. If I had the money I would get this for sure; http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=9787
  6. Well I'd imagine new or used would come with a 3 year warranty. So buying an 06' model with 2 years left would be a better deal. Very rarely will anything go wrong in the first 3 years anyway. That's why Subaru are willing to give this away with a new car.
  7. Is she concerned about ride comfort? If so, don't get the Sti. She should really go for a test drive of both first and figure out why she would want an Sti in the first place. Buying new she will be faced with a steep depreciation whereas used this has already been factored in. Maybe just go for a 2005 WRX?
  8. There is no difference. As others have said, if thieves want it, they will take it no matter what lock nut you have on there. it's just a safety measure for amatuer thieves. But obviously, try not to buy made in China stuff as threads will strip. Try and find something middle of the range. But with the RAYS, you are paying for the name.
  9. How does the car put down all that power?
  10. BTW, any illegal mods will void your insurance.
  11. My mate had an R33 when he was 22. Back then (4 years ago) he was paying $4,500 a year! Although he had a disqualified licence on his record.
  12. Nightshade will do the trick.
  13. I've got a genuine GTR wing with LED brake light & blank end caps (for us GTS-T drivers) for only $800 ono. I'm in Melbourne. PM enquiries.
  14. I would love to see a V8 (Nissan or other) in a R34 GTT. The burble and rumble of the 8 would go well with the aggresive looks of the R34.
  15. So that would be from 1999 or 2000 onwards?
  16. You are saying the EVO IX doesn't compare to a Skyline???
  17. Are the blue R34 GTT's with sunroof rare or something? I'm finding it hard to source one! Help anyone?
  18. You still have haven't told us if you are getting a R33 GT, GTS25T or GTR. This willl affect the insurance premium. I pay $1,150 full comprehensive with Just Cars for a 33 GTS25T. Although I am a rating 1 driver for life and 26.
  19. This is what gets me. How the f**k can P platers get away with registering the car in the first place? Shouldn't the RTA pick it up there and then? Or are they not putting it in their name? Clearly it's just a revenue raiser which is bs! Good luck to all driving 33's and 34's on their P's. I feel sorry for you guys! Oh, yeah nice car you got there!
  20. Which Australian 'Muscle cars' are you referring to? The ones that use American engines that have been tweaked, with stronger chasis, better handling? I suppose it depends on what you're comparing them to. But R33GTR is much better than most Muscle cars anyway. Good choice!
  21. Mmm, looks nice Quattro?
  22. Just got a few extra questions bud. Does the car come with factory air box, as this is needed to pass inspection for RTA? Is the car running 11psi off factory intercooler or do you have a FMIC installed? Could you put up a pic of the front from head on, and a couple from the sides please? I take it you are in NSW too?
  23. Any import sites I could look at that might have one?
  24. But we import car drivers have to use 98+ octane anyway. So you can't compare to 92-95 when we can't use it anyway. Also, V-Power Racing is just as expensive (or a little more) than the Mobil & BP stuff. Eitherway, the BP & Mobil 98 made my car start to stall. V-Power, not one problem.
  25. I'm looking for an original painted Bayside blue R34 GTT with sunroof. Anyone know of any for sale?
