  1. 90% sure it's your gearbox oil guys. I got some Motul gearbox oil put in mine and I started having the very same problem. Switched to Red Line Light Weight Shock Proof and I couldn't be happier. No problems now whatsoever. It's not recommended for newer boxes though.
  2. I've always thought the R34 needed more guts down low, so I thought this would be the perfect conversion apart from a V8. I'm curious as to whether a VQ35DE with a turbo would go into a R34 without many hassles? Like would the mounts meet up? Would this cause balance issues? As an estimate what sort of money are we talking here?
  3. BMW M3 goes for $34,000 these days?
  4. I had the impression HICAS engages at 50+km/h. I'm no expert, but I think some people get the HICAS locks so they can drift better.
  5. That's a good masking job. Does your spray painter clear coat it afterwards?
  6. Have you considered the ROH Black Drift R's with chrome lip?
  7. You could prime the fascia in black yourself with a can before taking it down to the spray painter.
  8. Nice car. Just a question. What has the S15 got that the R34 doesn't? Only asking because I'm interested in an S15 aswell. Good luck with the sale.
  9. Awesome! I'd actually prefer a V8 in the R34. It looks like more of a muscle car to start with.
  10. I've never heard of these but it's interesting none the less. https://dn.e-gauc.com/english/02/02/020200.asp ^^^ If link doesn't work you'll need to go to the login page, login and then search for Skylines.
  11. What in the world do you do for a job to afford such a beautiful car? I'm jealous!
  12. LMAO. :laughing-smiley-014: That dude has artillery!
  13. If the box is only going to cost you $500, then you should definately go down this path. But to answer your question, yes the Light Weight Shock Proof will prolong its life. In mine it relieved the notchiness and allowed me to quick shift. Probably the best $120 I've spent on the car results wise. I didn't think it would work, but it did. This was after a gb oil change which had fresh Motul put in. Red Line is expensive, but well worth it in my case.
  14. It would be wise to get a tune up. Also, make sure you are using quality fuels. My R33 tends to semi stall sometimes if I put 98 RON in, but 100 RON no stalling whatsoever. Check your spark plugs & coil pack aswell.

  16. Stop teasing! When are you going to sell yours to me?
  17. ^^^ What he said. The turbo is behind a plate so you can't see it. Well you can't on mine anyway. haha
  18. I had 90% of the money, but decided to get a loan for the full amount so I could build a good credit rating.
  19. Is it almost on the brink of stalling?
