  1. This is still here?! I can't believe this is not gone yet! It didn't even take me a week before someone snapped up mine, and most of the interest came from Sydney. Tried ebay?
  2. How does the fuel economy compare to your Skyline? I wish Toyota came out with an equivalent and addressed all the pit falls of the Jeep. I guess I love the look of the Jeep the most out of all the 4WD. It's hard to resist when you see pictures like this. It looks like heaps of fun! I'm guessing the whole cabin would fill up with water though? Or are the doors water tight?
  3. LPG? I don't think so! Anyhow, R33's don't drink that much. 450kms to a tank is good. That equates to about 11-12L/100kms
  4. That had me in stitches maaaate!
  5. Very good price there! I sold mine for $450 and that was without Nismo caps. These genuine GTR wings are MEGA rare people. Also they aren't fibre glass and prone to cracking like the aftermarket jobs. These are full plastic and very sturdy with full adjustable wing. Stick to your price steveo because someone will buy it for what you are asking (and it's already at a very good price). Also, try airroaddirect.com.au for transport. I used them and they are not too expensive. GL with sale.
  6. Hey all. I'm thinking about getting a Jeep Wrangler (the one that looks like the old WWII jeeps). Does anyone know much about these? Basically I'm looking to do a little bit of 4WDing and want to go over speed bumps without having to slow down. Can anyone list down some positive and negatives of getting one? Or better still, has anyone had one or know of anyone that has one? Things I do like: The old retro look and open top Things I'm not sure about: The inside looks really cheap. I'm not a fan of soft tops (wind noise, get clouded window and can tear) and the hard top that you can get looks odd. Fuel economy because it's a 4.0 L V6 petrol, no turbo diesel option. Easy to steal things out of (slash soft top, open bonnet etc) Any other suggestions for a 4WD that is under $20k?
  7. Warner Brother's have been working closely with Nismo on the next Batmobile. Looks tough, I liiiike!
  8. R32 GTR is getting old. So you most likely will be getting raped if you buy this. Parts are uber expensive too.
  9. I don't dislike it on the whole. I just dislike certain parts of it. Nothing an after market front bar and rear wing (not rice) can't fix.
  10. Have you seen Wolf Creek? Just don't drink any water if offered to you!
  11. I reckon that's about $4k + worth of damage there. Why are you even paying half if you got hit anyway?
  12. I don't know about either car too much, but I do know that Kamikaze have very inflated prices.
  13. It still doesn't look like a WRX that's for sure. As the saying goes, "you can't polish a turd", and this is exactly what Subaru have tried to achieve with the new Sti. But they are aiming for a very different market these days with the WRX. I just don't see this same new market being the type who would buy an Sti. Unless it has cup holders for their latte's. Maybe the suspension will be a little cushier too? But of all things they got rid of the iconic 'Rex' note! This new gen aint no WRX and this sure as hell is not what an Sti should look like. Infact, they would have been better to not call this the WRX at all. But looking back, Subaru has failed on the styling department ever since the introduction of the 'bug eye'. I hate to think of the loss of sales over the years purely because of poor aesthetic designing. Having said all that, the WRX and Sti are the best they've ever been mechanically going by all reports. But as far as king of hot hatches go, the Golf R32 is king. Subaru really should have done a complete new front and rear end for the Sti at least. Aswell as bring it out in sedan form. Makes for a good sleeper I guess?
  14. I'm surprised there is no mention of Ferrari or Lamborghini on that list. Also, most of the field on that list is RWD, probably to save on weight I'm guessing. I wonder how the GTR would go with only RWD only to save on weight. Just goes to show that AWD won't necessarily get you around the track quicker, maybe corners though. It's still a bit disappointing that the GTR weighs so much. How much does the stripped out version weigh though?
  15. Hey everyone. What would be a good daily for $15k (max) that's not a pig on fuel? I'm not interested in turbo, super charged or V8's. I'm not sure what the fuel economy is like on Falcons and Commodores around that price range. Ultimately I'm looking for something that is reliable, isn't too underpowered and not a hatch or girly car. I could be interested in a ute aswell. Any suggestions?
  16. To me, DSG would sit somewhere between driving a manual and an auto..... and autos are boring as hell. If Porsche decided to have stick shifts in their 911 turbos, then it would be a mistake for Nissan not to do the same. The GTR is more of a purists car (traditonally). Some people buy 911/996 turbos purely for the prestige and wank factor. Nissan will not have this marketing advantage, and purists will be their biggest customers.
  17. The C pillar seems reminiscent of the 300ZX's poor visibility out the back. I wonder how long it will take until someone buys and stacks one? (due to enthusiastic driving)
  18. Others have said twist left/anti-clockwise. Which is it???
  19. After market front bars will be a welcome replacement option. Anyone else notice it has no rear window wiper? Is the exclusion for aero dynamic purposes I wonder? One cup holder with 2 seats in the back doesn't make sense either. Not a big fan of the rear wing. Would look better IMO without a wing or with a 34 GTR style one. Overall this is one nice car though. Nissan has done a very good job.
  20. I've got the same problem on my R33. I can't get the gear knob off for the life of me! I'm begining to think it might be lock-tited on. Anyone got any suggestions for getting it off without ruining the gear knob?
  21. I'm sure you could put down a deposit at Nissan Ferntree Gully, VIC. It is Australia's most successful Nissan dealer.
