  1. Can you still access all the original GTR data features or can't you have both?
  2. I have the same on my 350Z rims. I think it is to signify that it has passed a quality inspection from the factory.
  3. $350 is cheap guys. I would have gladly got someone to do one for me for that price. But there was no one around doing them to my specifications. I am fussy!
  4. Hi Trav. Thanks for the compliment. Trust me when I say a lot of work went into this to get it perfect! For longevities sake, before spraying anything make sure you prep it. Otherwise all that hard work spraying the panel is going to go down the drain when the paint starts flaking or peeling in 6 months time. Not good. Before I did any painting or masking I thoroughly cleaned the garnish with Wax & Grease remover. I then got a low grit sandpaper and sanded the whole panel. This will enusre the paint will adhere. Next you will need to spray a plastic primer on. Once that's done you can then mask the letters. Because I did a 3D effect it was a lot more difficult to achieve! The masking part requires a lot of patience either way. Then start on your undercoat. I used a grey because it is easier to neutralise than black when spraying over with white. Peel off the tape from the letters, then do a few even light coats of white until you get the desired effect. Good luck, Steve
  5. Stock series II garnish is not transparent so won't work. You must have a series 1. How to wire it up is described in the other illuminated topics.
  6. I just finished mine. Here's the link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Li...80#entry4084434
  7. I just finished mine. It has the stealth look in the day and full 3D lettering illumination. The top garnish is the illuminated one with lights off. Below it are the factory series 1 & 2: Lights on. Red becomes much richer in colour at night: Notice the raised illuminated lettering creating the 3D effect: All in all I'm happy with the outcome as it's exactly how I wanted it. It took me 9 months from start to finish though! Mainly through trial & error and finding the spare time to do it. It also costs a fair bit to make aswell. But well worth it
  8. Does anybody know when this will be hitting Australia, if at all? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20409359/ Apparently there's talk of a PS4 coming out soon too. http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=111789 Anybody got any more info?
  9. S15's fuel economy isn't that great compared to Skyline's. They average around 400km per tank, same as my R33 Gtst. Have a look over at NS.com and read through the fuel economy threads. Of course, mileage is always dictated by how heavy your right foot is.
  10. Sorry to hear that. Can the ACCC help you out? http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/54217 I'm not sure if it is the right avenue to take? GL and hope you get it all sorted out!
  11. My oil pressure on my R33 Gtst goes low every time I need an oil change (around the 5,000 km mark) After the oil has been changed the guage reads normally. Hope this helps.
  12. Thanks for all the advice guys (& girls). I might check out Driver Dynamics first to see what it's like.
  13. Are there any requirements to take your car out to Sandown to race? For example, do you have to get a CAMS licence? Are you required to be in a club? Can you only go there certain times of the year? etc etc
  14. Make sure you get one that complies with your insurance companies policy. Otherwise your policy/claim could be void.
  15. They should not have released this as a WRX. Subaru should have kept it just as the RX base model for which it suits.
  16. What is the model number of the 42" LCD?
  17. I was reading up on S15's a while ago. According to some people on NS.com, fuel usage is similar on JDM models compared to R33's. Don't know why as you would expect better fuel economy from a 4 pot. To be more specific about power delivery, the S15 feels asmatic down low after coming out of an R33. The lack of bottom end torque is very noticeable. It's not til it hits mid range that it starts to generate any power. I was going to buy one, but after a few test drives I decided it wasn't torquey enough for me. The rear slips out very easily aswell... more so than a Skyline. I still reckon they are a nice looking car though. Pity they sound like a tractor.
  18. What an absolutely gorgeous car. Up there with the R8 IMO. The new tail light design looks much better over its predecessors too. There was a nice write up in Friday's Cars Guide actually. 0-100 time of 3.7 seconds IIRC. Nice!
  19. That sucks. But I think you will find he will be charged for drink driving and that's it. He did not cause the accident (even though he was being an ass) and his high beaming did not interfere with your vision as you ran up the back of him. You will most likely have to cough up for yours and his repairs as you were too close. Keep us posted on how it pans out. Good luck.
  20. I use Motul 8100. http://www.motul.com.au/product_line_up/4s.../4stroke13.html
  21. Have you changed the gearbox oil recently? If so it could be this and the smell will eventually subside.
  22. 2 years ago some arrogant ****head was tailgating me for a good 2 mins. I even slowed down several times and he just got closer. He eventually ended up ploughing into the back of my car and sent me crashing into the car infront of me. His excuse was, "There was an oily patch on the road and the car didn't brake in time." Even though it was a clear sunny day, no rain and optimal conditions. I went through a year of physio and still have back and neck problems. I'm still angry about it even today, and if I ever see him again I will knee-cap the bastard and leave him permanent damage! I don't tolerate fools.
  23. It is being released at some places at midnight tomorrow. I've also been told the uncut version includes pros of which you can choose different "services" from.
