  1. The viscous has a viscous fluid in it which locks/unlocks drive to each wheel. 1.5 and 2way have mechanical parts to do it... So at certain tensions it will lock/unlock quite noticably and effectively, compared to a lazier viscous lsd. howstuffworks has the flash animations I think
  2. Screw slip ons. Get the proper ones.
  3. My rims for the r31 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=2325920
  4. Can you get any for s13 for that price??
  5. If your old tyres are in good condition I'd be interested in those too
  6. Damn I wish I had this response when I was searching for a set. Got told by Nissan I had to buy the whole rubber/shim kit for $$$$ Good to know about the scoobies - thank you !
  7. Last night - r32 4 door silver in Manly... P plates and envy imports sticker on the rear windshield. mmmm 4 door goodness. Last night - r34 wakehurst parkway/seaforth... wing.. rear lights look good - stock? Just then - SXY-32T outside Fore shops... nice rims!
  8. I believe at one point 15yo imports didn't need a compliance plate, then they did, then they didn't. This is of course second hand info - but I know for a fact there are some 15yo imports without a compliance plate that are legit.
  9. Same as my cef. No compliance plate. Maaan each rego was fun, arguements with blueslippers.
  10. I'd say put in a stock rb25 with the 25 box and drive it till something breaks. Save the $4k left over to spend on something else
  11. f**k yeah performance electric cars.. that looks fantastic. I want one! The only thing is I would like one with gears - just for the nostalgia value edit: just noticed the front wheels are 5.5" with 175s and rear is 7.5" with 225.. Weirded out
  12. I would think that converting a cef to LPG wouldn't be economical, even with the rebate. If you've done the figures I don't doubt it.. but still......hmm
  13. Still looking. 205/45/16, 215/45/16, 225/45/16 ideal.. Will also take 225/50/16 and 205/55/16 if need be
  14. Spotted twice today around north shore/city black nice sounding whale 33 with a cute girl driving. Plates ANA... Competent looking girls in skylines = hott Speaking of hott - r32 GTR white in crowie, plates HAY... in red slimline.. Track spec rims! :sorcerer:
  15. My personal feeling is fair enough others might have had ok experiences. To me that doesn't factor, because that's hiding behind the statistics and hoping you aren't the 1/10th person. BULLSHIT to that. I think people need to remember that collectively SAU has some buying power - we should reward companies that treat us all well. So this time and any other I'll vote with my wallet as SAUers collectively have been treated!
  16. Interested in coilovers if you're going to split. PM me price if you are. Thanks
  17. If you get no air flow, try making plates (with plastic, aluminium, fibre whatever) that go between the FMIC and radiator to force the air to go through the radiator. That would be my suggestion with a stock radiator or with an upgraded one. JustJap sell fat radiators for cheap. Cheaper than anywhere else. too_much_boost runs one in his cef I think and he reckons it's the goods (good enough recommendation for me!) GOod luck
  18. f**k me I'm not a fan of datto's but f**k me.
  19. I'd be keen to know what effect it has on the radiator/intake temps. I'd move it to the side, even if it's JUST to use some of the non-airflow area over the ends tanks (the 2-6cm there would help give more needed flow through the IC/rad)
  20. It's not a matter of colour, you can't have non-levelling xenons. I will tell you now however that 4300k being natural light I would go with the 4000's. I had 6500k before and they weren't too blue (only slightly)... but if you want to keep the fuzz away 4000k will look whiter.
  21. Fuark can't believe noone wants it. I want it just don't have money :\
  22. That's some good tyres. I don't want to spend that much especially with postage etc If you can drop the price and provide photos I'd like to do it but you can probably sell to a local buyer it'd be better for you. Anyone in Sydney? Still need tyres for my wheels! !
  23. What state are you in? Most people should be cool with it because in NSW a pod is not illegal. It is a noise concern so that's why you can get a defect for it but by itself is not illegal, I had mine with no box engineered.
  24. That's what you do and what the negative is... what is the positive??
  25. BATMBL single pipe.
