  1. Amosite. If you're still having trouble with no response from Kiwi give me a PM. I might not be able to help directly but can direct you to someone that might... that goes for anyone else having troubles with KIPS. Obviously insurance is insurance so they will try to screw you where-ever possible regardless.
  2. Pfft noone is keen but me and I'm not in Vic haha
  3. it's 1300kg or so so 1200kg is not ultra comfortable but do-able. I have a old school flat style towbar on the r31 which you can have if you want it.. I just need to unbolt it and fill the gaps.
  4. Ok. I sold my car last week it's in QLD somewhere catching some rays. It's been replaced with... [edit: you have to go through the next pages to see build up pics ] EDIT:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::>> Project MAYHEM has begun. See more pics page 2 onwards. <<::::::::::::::::::EDIT
  5. Just spoke to him today. $250 for me for the r31 in 15% all round - r31 I'm happy to pay $10 extra. Booked in on Saturday - I'll post pics then To anyone who is worried about running out of time you needn't worry - I don't think this is a real group buy where you have to get in- I think he's happy to continue getting a customer flow from SAU and SAU members are happy to receive beneficial pricing... Sounds like a win/win to me. Thanks BLITZ!!!
  6. Silly question but would these fit s14 fronts? Being the same I expect it would?
  7. Sounds like a p plater that will encounter a car load of boys who will sort him out. Good thing you weren't hurt - don't stress too much and don't let it get to you. Dumbest thing I've heard today. Stop listening to 50 cent.
  8. Damnit, I was searching for a phone number.
  9. I'd choose the SR20 for anything under 230rwkw as exactly what Dave and Shan have said. If you want easy power from the SR20 you put a few bolt ons and you'll have 230rwkw. Probably cost a few grand. You'll have a 50/50 balanced car with plenty of torque and a lot of zip. I'd even have to challenge Ando when he says rb25 for track. I'd say the 50/50 distribution of the sr20 cefiro would something I'm more partial to. But that's just me, and we are both biased To be honost a RB20 is a piece of shit compared to a SR20. I know these debates range all over the place and I've been in RB20's that nearly convinced me they're the same engine from the drivers perspectives but really.... the sr20 has it. So we've knocked the rb20 out of Dave's new cefiro engine choice. So there's the rb25 and sr20 left.. Dave you're on the money when you say the rb25 felt through the whole range. I've been in a few rb25 ceffies now and they do power through... thing is though if you're pulling 200rwkw with the rb25 you could have had a lighter sr20 with better distribution - that might factor on the minds of rb25 owners. Off course that doesn't make a rb25 one a bad proposition - It's personal preference that can sway the sub 230rwkw sr20 vs rb25 cefiro choice. The sr20 donk also costs more in Aus than a rb25 donk on average anyway.. so that might factor. So I think Shan hit the nail on the head however that if you were planning on getting MORE power (I set the threshhold at 230rwkw) then go the rb25 because it's easier. I wouldn't bother trying more power from the sr20 unless you want to be special, but I would pick the SR20 by default as the better proposition.
  10. Just to be simple - your foot was off the accell pedal right?
  11. For anything under 230rwkw I'd get an SR. Anything over RB25/30.
  12. haha That's funny - I'd take those plates if my new car was going to be regd in Vic. Don't spose you want to register my car to your house for me?
  13. If it's a choice of RB25DET vs RB30E(T?) I'd say go the DOHC rb25det. If you're asking for RB25/30DET vs RB25DET then I'd say go the former if you're rebuilding, go the latter if you're not. Reason being is if you're not rebuilding it then I'd say inherently anything closer to stock is going to be more reliable. Obviously this won't always apply but the theory is there. Plus you'll have less complications as if you're not rebuilding it then you can just pickup a wrecked rb25 rather than building a rb25/30. If you're going to freshen anything up (which I would if I had 2 halves of an engine apart) then go the 25/30. There's a large thread on it on here so search that.
  14. Welcome to SAU. Enjoy your stay
  15. Car sold :D Went to a loving home and hopefully be put on the track
  16. Seen this seat getting another one and this cat is for real and the seat is in great nick. If anyone wants an upgrade to their 15 year old seat this is an easy OEM way of going about it.
  17. All good ideas, I'll add sikaflex perhaps to hold the tube or seal the bonnet pin to the bonnet.
  18. Steal the cefiroz idea. Cefiroz with a superimposed southern cross.. Anyways, funky can I migrate my stuff? I think I've sold my cefiro so if we put it here maybe it'll help the community more..
  19. Hey 'lowestcostR34compliance', if that is your real name, if you want to promote your business then sign up as a sponsor and support the club that supports your business. As for compliance there are plenty on here in this section that can give their advice where they have been as customers, not as people promoting their own businesses. Technically they have to bin the xenons I believe, in which case no, you don't. I'd actually try to have them removed in Japan if it was possible and replaced with a halogen pair there. Otherwise speak to a compliancer before you take it there and see what you can do - just don't pay for them as some people try to charge you when they're yours!
  20. Grats Dave. And no, please don't sticky each one. This section isn't big enough to have lots of turd at the top to sort through.
  21. lol good call. If you can't be bothered working out when it's been spelled out for you then...
  22. whwoar. That looks good.. and nothing like a typical drift 86. Good work eh.
  23. Question is how would you test your lines? Fill up and look? No thanks. Can I ask if fuel lines are the same material/condition all over the car? If so I might just nick a small piece and drop it into a small container and see what it does to it.
