  1. wow, showroom 4WD should be re-named the Evo 9 cup!
  2. benefits, faster acceleration, better drive out of corners. downside is less speed achievable in each gear. top speed limited to about 260-280 depending on rev limit. the parts themeselves are not too expensive (but a bit tricky to find) but there is a fair bit of work in fitting them. for the front you basically need to remove the engine, then remove the sump. rear is obviously drop the cradle and remove the diff. just remember if you do it you will need the front crown wheel and pinion and the shaft it's on, and the rear crown wheel and pinion too.

  5. good luck to all the SAU guys in it this year. drive safe!
  6. nice one butt munch. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
  7. not worthwhile and the flange is the wrong shape to bolt to your RB20 manifold I think. an R33 RB25 turbo is a better choice if you are on a budget and can be had for a few hundred dollars.
  8. yes, and find a way to cheat! if 42s are the pace at EC I will be a long way behind!! and I thought low 50s was respectable. time to admit I suck and get brisby to run back down the pit lane with my timing beacon while I lap to give me that extra few seconds a lap....
  9. sorry I'm an idiot. for some reason I thought this thread was about GTRs. please disregard most of what I said. again, sorry. I'm not sure on the range of diffs that were available in GTSTs but there will be plenty of options from other R200 diffs to change to.
  10. oh, and adam, don't be a weener. if you didn't want people to know about your car and what you are buying you probably shouldn't have started all these threads about it... we want details. and pics. onegaishimasu.
  11. actually a nissan cube would be a seller for sure! or a homy. lol.
  12. wow. not long ago anything in the 40s at EC would win you almost any sprint day. on that day there were 25 cars in the 40 second range!! that is insane.
  13. you are like some kind of cyborg now troy. brisby Mk. 2. better than the original in almost every way. we should call you robocop. shame they couldn't do anything for ya mug while you were on the table though.... I mean, being as good looking as you are must cause all kinds of problems with being mobbed by hot chicks and what not.
  14. 32 and 33 are 4.1:1 34 I can't remember off the top of my head but they are in the 3s. maybe 3.7 or 3.9. no GTR came with 4.3:1. R32 GTS4 however did come with 4.375:1. I would question the merit of a 3.5:1 though. your acceleration will suffer but your top speed will be astronomical. for a street/circuit GTR with stock power you aren't getting past about 220 on pretty much any track in aus. with decent power sure you can get to 260 or so on some circuits but apart from bathurst you wont get much past that. and with a 3.5 your potential top speed would be in the 300s but you'd have not much chance of ever getting there. unless we are talking really big power drag or circuit car. the only place a 3.5:1 will be nice is on the freeway for cruising. most people changing ratios in 32s go from the stock 4:1 to the GTS4 4.375 (myself included).
  15. good to see the bonnet firmly attached in those pics johnnie. hehehehe
  16. thanks guys for the encouragement. your appreciation and enjoyment of the thread is why I make and post them. I will try and get back into my pics over the next week or so and upload more. I still have heaps that are untapped at this point.
  17. or you can just do what fatz does. short cut all corners ensuring plenty of rocks and dirt get dragged on track to wind johnny up. then drag your now broken exhaust around the track to produce spectacular spark show.
  18. Dezz.banner changed to Dezz Jnr.
  19. lol, so you have seen me race before!
  20. it could well be an american company but manufacturing in japan.

nah, I think it's more like, mod your car, get pinned. pay fine, go to jail.
  22. well for starters the stock GTR core is only 60mm. so replacing it with a good quality 70mm core will be of some benefit. going to a 100mm core is a big jump up in size so unless you are making the sme kind of jump with turbo size etc I would not bother. plus it's a lot of extra weight hanging over the nose of your GTR that you just don't need.
  23. accomodation is the killer for sure. just like melbourne the friendly singaporeans qouge the f**k out of you come GP time. I just booked a place costing me 850 SPD a night! share with 2 people though.
  24. yeah the extra weight is no big problem. higher centre of gravity is a bummer, but hey, it will still go hard.
