  1. pity sex is still sex....
  2. lol, that stroy wont work on chicks. they will say one of three things: "what the hell is F3?" or "where the hell is croft" or "who the hell is Carling Motorsport" or possibly a combination of the three. it will however work on car weeners like our goodselves and I'm sure will earn you many a free beer. embelish the story a little though. say it was mark webber who punted you off as it was the last race of the year and you were ahead on points. tell them he got the minardi drive because your injury took you out of the running. it's the little touches....
  3. There is a diagram in the D-Jetro manual that shows where and how to do them. but as stated above, it's runners 3 and 4 post throttle. I have the manual somewhere, but god knows where. maybe someone else with one can scan that for your page Paul?
  4. holy shit! they must be some farking fancy globes mate! I think you may have confused yen with rupiah! lol.
  5. question answered. also, in future for questions like this a quick search, or even google search would yeild results. also posting it in the relevant section of the forum would probably net you more sensible responses and avoid having your threads locked.
  6. yeah big respect to all the guys who competed. and well done Kel! I'm sure your super navigating made all the difference. and you looked super cute in your race suit.
  7. happy birthday mate.
  8. nice pics mate. well done.
  9. well I can give a small update from my end. the carbon body work is leaving japan on the next available vessel. should be here soon so I think the boys will be able to move forward then.
  10. GTR factory oil pressure gauges are very slow to react and quite often are faulty or fail all together. before you start worrying too much buy or borrow a proper aftermarket oil pressure gauge and double check it. sadly though 32 GTR oil pumps often fail too in a number of ways, a common one is the screws in the backing plate coming loose which will give low oil pressure and eventually nothing at all. bottom line is don't get too stressed but definitely get it checked out to find out what's going on. best case faulty gauge. worst case faulty engine.
  11. nice work! I think it's great for our scene. I don't really care who owns it, it's here and I'm sure CRD will do some great work with it. and personally I reckon the colour scheme/graphics look pretty cool. Well done CRD I say.
  12. i would go with mines cam cover baffles and then just a basic catch tank to go with it.
  13. it's a decorative plate. ie not real. for show use only.
  14. Can I just change it to something of my choosing instead? how about "Scotty Dooo". also, are you coming to EC this weekend?
  15. yes... USD + freight.
  16. it's just in the top at the entry to the plenum. about where the throttle would be if it were a single throttle set-up.
  17. well if you get a theif looking at 2 cars. one with alarm, one without what do you think he will chose? there is no real need for thieves to 'research' your alarm because there are plenty of people out there with no alarm to keep them busy. sure if you have a really special car they may go to the effort of disabling your alarm to steal the car, but most will just move on to the next un-armed car. sure it wont stop any determined theif, but the main benefit of a decent alarm is it means you can get insurance. it may not seem cost effective but it's well worth it if your car is stolen. also you say $3000 a year? that is crazy, but even if that is the case if you took up that policy the premium would most likely halve the next year. also, if a good alarm is so worthless why is it that every "my car got stolen" thread I can think of in the last year none of those cars had alarms? also personally I've had many cars and only even had one stolen, and it just had a basic factory fitted thing. all the others have had reasonable alarms. could be coincidence, but maybe not.
  18. that sucks mate I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no alarm, no insurance. it's always the way. all these threads but people still don't learn that spending some good money on those things is worth every cent.
  19. Russ the way things are going sarah will be doing the driving whilst you do the talking...
  20. nice. cool idea converting the rear end from wishbones to in-board shocks. nice dog too.
  21. yeah I had certainly expected it would be about par with the gallardo. similar weight, power, brakes etc. better gerbox, but the gallardo's have a few years worth of development under the belt so far. bit hard to judge off just the first days running.
  22. bummer. that is tarmac rallying for you.
  23. f**king d'oh! do you know if they continued snowy or is it game over for this year?
  24. yeah I don't mind on missing out on seeing a dude get raped with a gun... not really my thing anyway.
  25. guys, it can be very hard to tune the EBC nicely on the street. spend some time on the dyno and it should be easy. the weird thing is I have a profec B II in the GTR which is amazingly good. works very well. then I have a profec E-01 which is like 3 times the price in my silvia and theoretically should be the same but it doesn't seem as good. and actually I have another GTR now with profec B II and again, works very nicely.
