  1. well remember that the majority of imports sold in aus are sold by dealers. that is a different story, banks will give you secured finance agaisnt a car bought from a dealer. as for the rest, either people pay with their own hard earned money, or they secure finance against another asset, or if possible they get unsecured finance, or they go to a second tier lender. it's the same for pretty much any used, privately sold car.
  2. sweet. please and thank you.
  3. Ken is right. no-one in aus will give secured finance against an import (or pretty much any private sale car). they will however if it is sold by a dealer. it's quite the pain.
  4. so what happend in the end? did DOTARS give up the VIA?
  5. no auto levelling and no headlamp washing are the usual reasons.
  6. sif. the baron knows what he's doing. *note use the baron's advice at your own risk. any accidental permanent data loss is the sole responsibility of the numpty with the ipod. Baron corp and it's employees accept no liability for any such loss.
  7. it will have them from the factory. there is no need to add any.
  8. the brown davis ones are very nice.
  9. Kansai service centre sell a whole packaged of underbody braces/brackets for the R32 GTR. I have no idea if they work or not though. http://www.hkskansai.co.jp/html/parts/roa/roa.htm
  10. try hi-octane. http://www.hioctaneracing.com.au/ hopefully you'll get a response there.
  11. PICS! I want to see this cut up head.
  12. yeah $1.90 is a waste. season is a long way from over folks and so much needs to go right to get that WDC.
  13. well except that you would not be buying an R34 GTR for 60K in japan unless it was something out of this world. A decent R34 GTR can be had in japan for around the $45K mark.
  14. domo lol, I can spell that. but fark the romaji anyway. it's only for us dumb ass foreigners that are to lazy to type in kana. hehe.
  15. The V8 Supercar race driver games on PS2/PC etc have Oran GP on it. it'll at least give you an idea on layout.
  16. russ, your crash is awesome. lol. looks like you found a nice jump and went for it stunt man style! hahaha.
  17. I agree. just sell the ones you have now with the ECU. then buy the Apexi ones when you buy that ecu.
  18. RE55s aren't eligible for clubsprint class. hence the "I don't want to spend $1500 on tyres I don't want". for open class I'm sure lots of people will be on them.
  19. sorry. serves me right for not reading the whole thread properly. bad beer baron.
  20. yep i agree troy. great cars don't neccissarily make for great racing. super GT is a great spectacle, and the cars sound and look awesome but the racing is pretty average. I quite like DTM, lots of agressive drivers. you are right though, they are down to just Audi and Mercedes. Did anyone see the race last year when Audi forced all their drivers to retire after they accussed norbert haug of instructing all the merc drivers to gang up and take out their audi rivals. lol, what a farce but fun to watch. and I really don't hate V8SC at all. they often have some good races.
  21. 10mm nut just under the handle. you'll need a socket on an extension to adjust it.
  22. poor strategy (webber came out right into traffic) and lack of pace on the softs cost webber some decent places. funny that if bloody hamilton is so fast then why didn't he pass webber or even attempt a pass in those 30odd laps he was behind him for? I would really hope if it were webber in the big mac and hamilton in the red bull that webber would be able to put a move on. and nice one kubica!
  23. great idea! love it.
  24. yes, it can no problem. it wont have to be complied as such either. just modified/certified that it meets any applicable ADRs and any other normal conditions of rego in your state. any car built pre 1989 can be imported in this way.
  25. I don't know how strongly I'd reccomend them. for one they have to be welded to your sump which is quite expensive. and is obviously irreversible. they are also a bit of a compromised design. they also protrude a little lower than I would like. I chose the trust one as my engine was being built in japan and that is what they were comfortable/familiar with. if I were doing it here I would suggest looking at the hi-octane/hi-energy sump. looks very good and many people have had success with it here.
