welcome. if you want something different, can I suggest a jag 6cyl? but srsly, as mat has said above, bolt ons and maintenance for what youre going to do with the car. have a read of his build thread, youll see whats achievable with bolt ons.

welcome. as stated, check out the captains build thread. at least youre going for a real gbox. there will be alot of haters on here that give you crap about your chosen running gear. I do to the captain, mainly to ruffle his feathers, but I still respect his. he knows this. and he gives me crap about spinning bearings. long story. Anyway, good luck, and please post pics.

today; replaced centre bearing. replaced gbox mount. slightly more spacing on gbox xmember and centre bearing. vibration nearly gone completely. hit BOOOOOST.

dont fret.the black peeling is only paint. they paint the entire thing, then the paint peels from the rubber when flexed.

got it all sorted. I was pulling positive straight from the battery. had to grab it from wires that came on at ignition. so, now all good.

what type of car? if it is a grey import(im assuming it is), you can no longer get them cleared at pink slip stations(ais). they all have to go to a blue slip(auvis) station to be cleared. so, either way, its getting a blueslip. as mentioned, just had the tech night at japlink, great bunch of guys, and can do blueslips

wow. great night. the biggest thanks to terry for organising. and even more so to todd and the guys for hosting is, and staying until well past midnight. a very broad range of topics touched upon, which was very nice to see. think if we ever do this again, ill organise a pizza or 2 for todd and I one last thing, I really appreciated todd letting me put my car on the hoist to check out the gearbox leak. turned out to be the breather. and if you read this todd, the centre bearing is done, gearbox mount replaced, a little more spacing added to gbox cross member and centre bearing, and the vibration is almost completely gone.

on some nissans(if they have a regod demo), some dealerships offer an overnight test drive.so you can drive when/where you normally do to see what the cars really like. doooo eeeet....
