    Gtt is rwd and will be cheaper. gtr is active 4wd and will cost a lot more. Come to think of it, I can't remember seeing a 34gtr shell for sale since I've been into skylines.

    Welcome. congratulations on the Honda. in regards to the 34 shell, I havnt seen many bare shells for sale. seen a couple if rollers. and are you looking at gtt or gtr?

    I've installed the spool kit. when its running(if ever), will be going for broke. so, will see if they give out before the bolt ons. I think they'll do ok.

    pm's exchanged.tyre was a dunlop direzza semi, a little squarer on the shoulder than some street tyres.

    i had 265/40r17 on 17x9+22 lmgt4, sat flush with the guards. looked good. do it. ps, trying to find a photo of it, not going well.

    this is what i was thinking.i think even with the extra capacity, the 3.5s would just be too tall with standard gearbox ratios. the 4.11s too short. the tomeis seem to be a happy middle ground, that is available off the shelf.

    ok, i have a 32 gtr that i have nearly finished the conversion in. thinking about going to the tomi=ei 34 gtr "short"diff gear set. 3.8?? ratio. my thoughts are, bring cruise rpm on freeway down, without sacraficing too much of the pick up. extra capacity should outway that anyway. inputwould be appreciated.
