  1. I've only ever smelt the eggy smell from cars with new cats.. Or new cars when they boot it in front. Usually Mitsubishi's for some reason. No cat... No eggy smell just a strong exhaust smell that is very noticable. I have a few mates with no cat and driving behind them I can smell they have no cat. :S
  2. Have you got a cat?
  3. lol yes.. I believe his origional motor let go due to a fuel pump/lean out issue also. But definitely tough as bottom ends. Jay run on slicks or similiar tyres to Darren? Great effort from the 5speed.
  4. lol yep Jays running on a fresh motor.. Already done one in. What times did Jay run? Jake was out there also? Obviously detonation killed the piston. A bastard the alternator let go. All in street trim, daily tyres etc.. Top work Darren.
  5. Madaz... Do the coil overs with a trusty hydraulic jack and get a mate to step/put weight on the stub axle while you bolt it all up. Easy peazy
  6. Ceramic exhaust wheel.
  7. If its open, venting constantly. Its near impossible for the turbo to generate any form of boost. Not sure if its possible as there most likely wouldn't be enough exhaust gas to spin the turbo to such a speed.
  8. Paul the ecu's can be done but they are a tad more expensive as they require a daughter board + a little more fiddling than the regular eeprom desolder etc.
  9. One thats bypassing possibly could.. Overspeed? If it were to jam shut it won't blow the turbo.
  10. I have an Oil Pump out of an R32 RB20DET thats was purchased from a wrecker some time ago as a spare motor. $100 Delivered via Registered Post SOLD
  11. I do remember some time ago Bosch moved their menufacturing from Japan to Germany. When they began the production of Z32's they had some teething problems that completely stuffed up supply.
  12. lol Not looking too good for you at the moment Paul. 2 nil. I can't vote as thats a conflict of interest.
  13. ok I'll leave it up to you fella's.. Who votes Paully gets a warning?
  14. haha so are lancers.. Did you mention you used to own a Lancer? ------------ But on topic.. Providing both have aftermarket suspension that is setup correctly it really comes down to who has the biggest balls of them all.
  15. I'm with the manwhore. Grab an R32 actuator or even purchase an adjustable actuator thats at the boost level you wish, they cost $120 from the local turbo shop.
  16. Up from the rb25 turbo... HKS2530, trust td06-20g, gt2871 48t.
  17. Of course it will... If you have a leak in the system the turbo's going to be sucking and compressing a lot more air than if there wasn't a boost leak. So the afm will read higher, not sure if its possible for it to read this much higher though. :S
  18. Doesn't mean there isn't a boost leak though.
  19. Big boost leak? A mate of mine is hitting 4.7v at 275rwkw, gt35r @ 17psi.

    Bov

yer just cut out a place the same shape as the gasket, bit of silicon and slap it together.

    Bov

Just thin sheet metal from a sheet metal place in Lonsdale. As for blocking the bov vac line, I didn't as it doesn't make any difference if it is or not.
  22. This bloke has well priced oil. Only place I know of one can source German Castrol. Also check out his M1 0w40 oil price. http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrp...QsassZwyninweis
  23. I've had a master cyl die where it didn't leak. Pedal went to just off the floor; the rear breaks stopped working the front still worked but only had around 5cm's or so of pedal travel left.
  24. I've tried a few including the bars-bugs. When dried they all left nasty water marks on the paint. I too use puratap water... dries near clean.
