lmao.. hands 'Pauline' the lube. EDIT: Now I'm spamming.

lmao WAZ.. Yes I've came across a few of my old threads from time to time. Bit of a laugh. Unsure with the R33's but the R32's area already setup like this. Trace the turbo's water line back to the inlet manifold, it runs through the inlet manifold near the injectors and directly to the top radiator hose; basically a direct path to the top rad hose.

If I were to do it again yes I would definitely run the bigger shim. Even with a 0.8mm it chirps the inside wheel and clunks around a little. The local diff place down here (Boss Automotive) sets them up with a given breakaway, they almost always settle on a 1.2mm shim and he said he hasn't had any one report back stating they single leg it. It doesn't matter what side the shim is placed on as its placing preload on the whole spider gear assembly. 99% of people throw it on the spidergear side.

You did well buddy.... Was one of the more entertaining to watch.

We should hold an SAU cruise and rock up at the joint. Rascal, Out of curiosity... When purchasing the car did you know what was illegal or not? I tend to think maybe you didn't, unless your mechanically minded or cluey with cars etc the majority of people don't even realise the skylines can't be lowered due to regency's stupid ride height measurements being within only a few mm of factory ride height.

lol.. I see a pattern emerging here Darren.

Here we go, I added a vid of you. I need a bigger mem stick for the phone. Would have been good to get a few more vids.
-
lol how did you aquire your nick name? Quite interesting your work mates know you by it.

Monaro... yes that was crap, I didn't think he was too consistent. Simon.. I have a vid. You were doing pretty damn well. Forgot to make a mention above.

Its all good.. I really think I needed a bit thicker than a 0.8mm shim to bind those spider gears up a little more. I now have a mechanical that when rolling on the throttle in first spins the rears up, only difference is now when its spinning it accelerates much quicker than the old one legger spinning. Second gear is much nicer also, holds on well with a little squirming around 4000rpm but depending on the road surface it can still let go. Biggest difference I've found is its much easier to get out of corners in second and third without it going sideways and spinning up. Its improved throttle control 10 fold. Will definitely be throwing a set of sticky tyres on the rear.

I've never installed the sp2 service pack afterwards. Have you thought about creating an sp2 slipstream? i.e recreate the windows xp disk with with the sp2 on it so it installs from the word go with sp2? Good ol' Billy Gates.

Comments.... Your username suits you riding the quad bike well.

Robby Bulgers... What was he driving?

Run Windows Update... and.... Do you install codec packs? I've found they can be a real pain in the arse; some completely screw the video playback and even after uninstalling they still leave it stuffed. 3rd Party... I find I only ever need/use Xvid and Divx.

Trust33. How is yours if you take off slowly, cruise at say 10km/h and simply nail the throttle? Thats when mine would open wheel, launching with a few rev's it appeared to twin up.

You'll find it won't have much more in it on 98ron pump fuel, 100ron pump fuel (not available here in SA) you can squeeze a little more. I believe r33_racer managed around 320rwkwish on the gt3040 on the 100ron pump fuel + nice plenum + nice exh. manifold before going watermeth and pushing 370rwkwish.

Hey Scooby, Cheers.. I haven't had many/any report back on the issues of the rb30dett in a gtr so appart from the small issues mentioned by Antony and Sky30 I am none the wiser. Both Antony and Sky30 have gone with a single turbo setup, the only issue they have came across is the cam belt cover fouling the bonnet which requires slight trimming of the bonnet support. The 20kg's its been some time but I remember it was the deflection on the belt, not 100% sure I would have to check the engine manual again. Any pics of a GTR/GTS4 setup would be nice.

LOL Madaz.. The lady with the vid cam. I remember seeing her; I was a couple of people to her left at one point. Here's a few I grabbed on my phone also.
-
The difference is the gt3540 will do 450rwhp on pump fuel. The GT3040 won't, I feel ~400-410rwhp is max on pump with the gt3040 but every dyno and individual setup is different.

I 'popped' through to check it out today. Upon leaving there were no cops, saw one or two driving past with their speed guns on the roof, so driving back is not the place to speed. :S Quite impressed really. Last time I went to a drift comp it was down at Port Gawler. A lot more talent out these days. I was stood down towards the end of the start/finish small straight. Awesome spot; saw a few spins and hell fast corner entry speeds. The bloke in his R34 LS1 wasn't doing too good either was the JMS car. I grabbed a few pics of the thing via my phone. The brakes are quite impressive upon first glance, the picture doesn't do it justice. A few vids also. Might throw them up a tad later. I must say my favourites of the day.... Just Jap R31, Cressida, Black R32 with what I think had an rb26 in it and the blue S13 N/A LS1.

Definitely run some decent 100ron fuel + water/meth injection and you'll see the figures your chasing.

Bugger Ash. See what you can do with small claims. Regardless what he was sold he should have ensured he was selling the item he described it as. URAS... Its definitely a VLSD as Ash posted pics of it in another thread. VLSD hub sitting there and all. I recently bought a mechanical thats now in the car, its a gtr/gts4 center thats in great nick + a set of nismo 5 bolt axles. Extremely happy with it as the last thing i wanted was a super tight mechanical like the aftermarkets always are.

He will laugh when you tell him that. Its not true. The car was running like crap because the plugs were fouling. Its common for an AFM to fail, its not the plugs fault. Its simply the age of the car.

Why not shove a turbozet in the rear muffler 'suck' the exhaust gas out that improves scavenging from the umm... turbo. Fully hektic. Hey it could work.
