  1. AAA Exhaust just off Marion Road.
  2. They generally don't check for aftermarket ecu's unless its been defected for it or something doesn't look right. i.e different injectors, afm etc. Regarding turbo timers etc.. Just make sure its disabled and if possible shove it right up behind the dash where it can't be seen or felt. Good luck getting it back out though as there's next to no room up behind the dash's of these cars.

Still nothing like the raw feel of the V8 in the LH through the steering wheel, floor pan seats etc.. Much done to the 5ltr? In the LH? Old man did up a genuine slr5000 when I was approaching license age. Similiar paint job; canary yellow, black bonnet, black around the top door frame, flares, rear spoiler. 4speed 5ltr, quite a lopey cam & 600 holley. I can't remember the name of the wheels, they were a gold colour with lots of little spokes. Its on the tip of my tounge lol. Once the paint was done and the motor in we jumped in it for a drive around the block sitting on milk crates with no doors. Nothing quite like the old muscle cars.
  4. Taller/longer ratio = lower numerically, longer gears. i.e the old v8's running 2.72's etc Shorter ratio = higher numerically, shorter quicker accelerating gears. Thats us.. 4.11's and 4.3's.
  5. Look at what this bloke drives around with... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=68...18&hl=en-CA Angle grinder would be a little more inconspicuous. IF your in the market for a steering lock the coplock is a good alternative.. Steering locks damage the skylines leather steering wheel.
  6. RB30 sump bolts up to an rb20 fine. Rb20 sump on to rb30 requires the scrapers to be cut/bent down.
  7. Its quite possible the motor is breathing a little better due to the recent inlet mods. That paired with the stock dump that definitely favours turbine flow rather than wastegate flow 'could' tip it over the edge of boost creep. I'd almost be inclined to again flick that circlip from the wastegate/actuator arm, disconnect it and wire the flap open again. It just can't/shouldn't over boost with the wastegate wired open. All bets are still on the stock dump and combination of inlet/breathing mods. The problem I have though is a cat back with stock dump/front and fmic is quite a common mod, others don't see boost creep problems, so why do you? :S
  8. Shave the head Troy... Women love bad asses. Look at Danthemetrosexualman.. He gets all the chicks.
  9. lol Troy... Thats not one of those chick "does my bum look fat" type questions is it? I shouldn't throw stones in glass houses; I'm starting to find a couple of reoccurring grey hairs. I rip the bugger(s) out, a couple of weeks later I found there back!
  10. What one did you use and what power did it make? Can you throw up a dyno sheet for us to have a geezer at?
  11. Well as you say.. If it was fine before with the dump its definitely not that.
  12. What dump are you using? China 2.5" jobby? 'usually' a stuffed cat will cause lack of boost, or boost tapering off in the top end.
  13. All you mugs in the photo are damn SADDISTS!!! Look at you all with grins ear to ear. I'd be surprised if Troy wasn't crying inside.. I know I would be.
  14. I vote for 250rwkw using a GCG or Slide highflow. There is much more to the 3ltr than you realise... 280rwkw out of the rb25's bottom end won't see much happeneing until close to 4000rpm. Thats very much border line of being too laggy for the street. Then consider the boost response/spool in first and second gear.. yay much fun, you have to ring its neck if you want it to get up and go. Drive an rb30det with the same turbo setup and it will blow you away. For the street go for cubes. For the track/drags its not all that important. It is a waste of money unless you are due a rebuild. Same as rebuilding the rb25 when your rb25 is perfectly fine. Waste of money.
  15. When you disconnected the actuator from the flapper did you ensure the flapper was moving freely and was able to open fully? Start looking at your dump pipe.
  16. lmao well that says it all... No one thought it was worthy taking a picture of. lmao.
  17. Reeeeeeeaaaaaallllyyyyy sorry its off topic. lol Hows that extrude honed exh manifold coming along Sly33?
  18. A mate of mine runs Sard 800cc twinsprays; he's at approximately 64% duty with close to 300rwkw. Doesn't appear to be any issues with atomization at low rpm, afr's are good.
  19. Thats a bad joke madaz. ... lol
  20. To determine if it is the actuator simply disconnect it from the flapper. Mine made almost 7psi with the flapper jammed open but it is a larger motor, a smaller motor may make less boost.
  21. Doesn't sound too good. Got Pics?
  22. Dewalt 18v angle grinder + thin stainless steel blade? I find it seems to cut through almost anything pretty quick. I'd be keen to see how it goes on the Coplock. Realistically its rather unlikely to have a thief so well prepared. lol Some time ago I bought a club lock. Stuffed the leather on my steering wheel.
