  1. Grab a HKS idle stabilizer thing for $154 delivered from nengun.
  2. Free BBQ???? Could be a good start to a cruise..
  3. The .82 will definitely pick up the mid range and improve low gear acceleration. The way its setup now I'd be very suprised if it had any form of go in the first 2 gears.
  4. One word.. Insane.. Worth every cent.
  5. Being a GT35r it is most likely to be a 1.06 as Garrett don't do a 1.15 in the GT35r. Large a/r's mean peaky top end only power. Unless he's going for all out drag then he'd be better off with a smaller .82 or .63 as you pick up considerable amounts of mid range and loose bugger all top end.
  6. Who suggested such a combination with standard cams? Diesel style.. No wastegate required.
  7. Interesting.. Kyle has gone all out with preventing reversion. Very nice exhaust manifold. I have never seen the collector of one. Awesome Pics. Thanks. You didn't grab any of directly down the throat of the collector did you?
  8. A mates PFC also has the same issue with no bov. (I also run a PFC) He runs a completely different setup, GT35r 100mm turbo to afm s/steel pipe etc etc.. We haven't had them on the dyno and tried to tune it out, I'll have to quiz my tuner to see if he has had a fiddle with a pfc and no bov before.
  9. Good stuff Paul. Try to book early otherwise you may end up waiting for 3weeks to get it in. My plans have changed.. lol I'm going a GT35r .82 int gate turbine with an xr6 .5 comp cover. Should do exactly what I want it to.
  10. Whats the 'new' rear housing? .82? What was the old rear housing? Do you have dyno chart for that also?
  11. Nice.. Whats your setup Sinista?
  12. Exactly.. The head and given cam select always determines the amount of approx power a motor will make regardless of its capacity. A smaller motor will simply require more rev's. Dropping an rb30 under the rb26 or 25 head without touching anything else. All we simply do is shift peak power to a lower rpm.
  13. What car nonac? If its an r33 your living dangerously. If its an r32 take a look at your dump pipe, cat & exhaust.
  14. Damn.. there's a hell of a lot of labour thrown in there. Anyway... who cares what it costs. Take it some where else, the tuner could simple have nfi.
  15. Shauns and his side kick Troy are top blokes, always looked after myself and those I have swayed his way. Good luck with the move pixel8r.
  16. I've had a VG30DET on my RB20det.. They have stuff all mid range and don't really get going until the higher gears. General driving rolling on out of corners in second I saw 1bar by 4000rpm ish. Loaded up in fourth I saw 1bar by a shade over 3000rpm. The VG30DET turbo is nothing more than a RB20DET turbo with slightly larger covers to shift the power up the rev range a little (which is what a 3ltr needs) so it may struggle to crack 190-200rwkw. They generally push 10-15rwkw max over an RB20DET turbo but with a lot less mid range. The RB25det turbo kicks its arse, it has a larger compressor and a smaller hotside that gets things moving a lot earlier. The rb25's hot side is sized good enough to make 200rwkw. Obviously depending on dyno.
  17. Have a read. http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_1457/article.html
  18. There's this mob. http://deatschwerks.com/ No direct experience but I have not been able to dig up a problem with them, everyone appears to be happy. You also get cash back for your old injectors $25 per injector so. So being an R33 you end up with a set of higher flowing injectors for $350 odd. So a pretty good deal and worth looking in to a little more to find out if any one has had a bad experience with their injectors.
  19. Pure speculation.. Says who? Turbosmart and people flogging their products? ---- I've found no bov reduces lag between gear changes. Thats before and after. My assumption is that it must take longer to fill the IC and its piping than it does to bring the compressor back up to speed. Thats also assuming the pressure spike created due to no bov does reduce the compressors speed 'slightly'. Its a falacy that the compressor stops/stalls or spins backwards. Regarding drivability.. I've found no bov to cause the car to stall under some circumstances and pop/overfuel more when coming off the throttle. Apart from that the performance aspect its definitely worth while, I currently run WITH a bov because I don't like to blow flames at the cop car behind me nor do I like stalling. Its possible a tune can prevent the pops and stalls, it was previously (Ceffy's, VLT's, XR6T (running high boost yes can their bovs) so I don't see any reason why it cant now. Take it from a professional in the industry not the mega buck companies trying to flog off their product to you. http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_1457/article.html This has been covered to death and your answers have previously all been answered.
  20. A car is always going to use a heap of fuel if you are always up it. Considering it still retains its usual 400 odd km's per tank when taking it easy is a good thing.
  21. yes it is. lmao. Shows how much attention/reading/thinking I was paying.
  22. Definitely HOUSE! You can always do the car thing later.. or... do both... Buy a cheaper little R32 strip the thing and have some fun with it as a track/hill climb car.
  23. Any chance you can get a before dyno run done with the stock turbo? I would think around 250rwkwish.
  24. lmfao. I don't even have a 3 1/4 drive anymore.
