  1. Madaz IsoBuster... I don't believe will do the job as you will need something that is able work with the latest copy protections. Using Alcohol 120% I am able to backup to image but unable to backup 1:1 to cd/dvd. basically its a hardware limitation, some dvd/cd drives have issues with some copy protections when run from a backup. I can however create an image and throw it on a dvd and then mount it via Daemon tools and it works. To grab an idea how to backup your games head over to... www.cdfreaks.com and check out their forums. Backing up games even to an image can prove to be a real pain in the arse some times. Especially when a game is first released with a new game is released with a fresh copy protection version that the software is unable to work through.
  2. lmao.. Awesome Howie.. Madaz.. Yep the only way is via Alcohol 120%. To save those origionals create mini images (very small) keep them on your HD and mount them via daemon tools to play the game. I personally don't see the point of copy protection with games that are primarily online based. A simple cd key check as per bf2 etc is all that is needed. Spend the $$ on creating a better bug free game or pass the savings on to us to. I know if a game was around the $50-$60 mark I would buy more games at that price and end up spending more doing so compared to only buying one or two games when they are worth $80+ each.
  3. Whiplash. When BF2 was first released I too uninstalled and went back to BF1942.. Then a year or so later reinstalled and got in to it and started quite enjoying it.
  4. lol yes I thought it was typical EA BF style as BF2 was released with bugs out its ears... At least I supposed EA released a patch before it was released. Their Project manager needs to be shot.
  5. U mean the BF2142 BF2 expansion pack... Its not exactly a different game. Not to mention their bill board advertising.. buggers. Good stuff ea.. release a patch before the game is released.. lmao.
  6. Also consider perfectrun and greenline. Good prices also. http://www.perfectrun.com.au http://www.greenline.jp/
  7. lol. but no wonder.
  8. No need for a retune if you disconnect the PFC. Plug it in after the inspection in their car park and off you go.
  9. lol. l33t
  10. Maybe RB25 turbo, try using your rb20det exh. housing on it to lower spool slightly and call it a day? Even still the RB20's running 1bar, tuned ecu go pretty damn well. Underestimated.
  11. No idea to be honest. You can grab solid conversion kits from nengun and the likes.. They aren't that expensive really.
  12. Yep when I first was booted by elec ign. I was around 17. Completely did not expect such a boot.
  13. I put mine down to the car being started then moved started moved... Basically fouled the plugs made it run like crap. Really will never know.
  14. Mine did the same also.. Massive amounts of black smoke.. wanted to stall etc.. Appeared to come good then later discovered they hadn't reconnected the carbon canistor so I had a massive vacuum leak. I doubt that would have been related as a vacuum leak has it running leaner. But none the less.. Also ran out of fuel driving to the closest petrol station, later found out they ran up close to 100km's in it.
  15. All you can do is notify the police of your position with these people and cross your fingers it doesn't make your life hard or difficult to go out in public in fear of them jumping you. :S
  16. Definitely not good. Sticky relief valve? I doubt though. Out of curiosity and would have nothing to do with your problem but what bearings did you use in the build?
  17. What plug gap are you running.. Even with new coils you need to run a 0.8mm gap. Could be a split i/c hose or something, from experience they tend to really kill power with a rough/miss type feel. Kill power to the point of it almost doesn't accelerate.
  18. I've been putting off coils for some time now. I've always know they were on their way out but wow.. I chopped up a spare coil pack cover, mounted the ignitor in its origional position, waited for night to fall and got the car nice and hot. Drove home, popped the hood and on idle I could see a really nice lightning show. Quite amazing how much it sparks out; I am so suprised my idle at that time wasn't affected not to mention the drive prior where it copped a few full rpm rev's on around 11psi with no signs off ign breakdown or pop. It was sparking out enough to be very worried not to place my fingers any where near it... Yes I've been booted by elec. ign before and the boot was 'worse' than the mains power boot/humm I have also had. So.. before I go any furthur I will replace my coils. Oh yes.. The car now seems near perfect to drive with the only very slight occasional lug/lean problem. Fix coils then I'll get back to it, fingers crossed it will dissapear. Jacks me how the problem comes and goes a little. A mate of mine has his coils also stuffed; 16psi it farts like nothing else. His idle, off boost etc all appears fine. However I am only running 11psi so if he were to drop his boost he may not even experience any ign break down yet so... my coils may be worse than his.
  19. With 11mm of lift I'd assume the head will be solid so use a set of GTR cams.
  20. I'm sure you have a gut feeling who it/they is/are.
  21. There is a fair amount of work out there at the moment. The old man is in Commercial construction, specifically metal. Good money once you get in to the commercial side.
  22. The RB25 n/a springs actually are the RB20det springs. Most experience valve float at higher boost levels as the rb25de valves are larger, so they really need a better spring. But a lot have had good results when shimming their springs so that may be a cheap way out if your only looking to run lowish boost, which 15-17psi is.
  23. Bugger. The 25 will work well with the turbo you have but the 30 may choke a little. 15psi through the 25 head will be roughly the same air flow as ~19-20psi through the 20. Throw your stock turbo RB20 cams into it, better suited for turbo.
  24. The motors apart from the inlet manifold and exhaust manifold are identical when it comes to bolt on parts. (Injectors, CAS, IAC, AAC, Coils, Ignitor, Plenum, valve springs, lifters, rocker covers, coil cover everything. You do however get the usual variation with the AAC valve. Why nissan varied the design slightly between years beats me.
