  1. lmao.
  2. Probably just strapped down a little different + the hotter weather. mr_rbman had 2 runs on another dyno, made something like 214rwkw then another day 230rwkw. Just strapped down different
  3. lol... yer but 40degree air is damn hot..
  4. Interesting.... re the night time. Would be good to go somewhere different also.. Blackwood auto and dyno has a good setup; from memory I remember they had windows that you could stand against and see the car running up. There's also Hitech dyno.
  5. Interesting the IT temps are consistent. Didn't feel like 40degree air inside there. yer was warm but not 40. Was shaun placing the sensor on the pods/inlet snorkle etc I can't say I looked.
  6. AM-Performance said it was almost as if the bolt holes were drilled using the gasket instead of an actual block/sump.
  7. Bugger... AM-Performance also had the same issue.
  8. bah so stuff all then..
  9. lol most likely.
  10. Whats the set back? Lazy cousin not giving it up?
  11. Instead of Kart mania are there any fast Karts around still? 2stroke powa... bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa EDIT: Bah can't find them in SA. They used to be up near Kart Mania Gepps Cross; went one day to find a whole lot of people from Minda down there. I still can't believe they put a down syndrome kid on one of their Karts. He came out of the pits, flattened it and didn't let off. bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa down the straight then bang in to the tyres. He didn't turn. argg... he appeared pretty hurt too.
  12. Yer that auto speed bloke didn't exactly think too much about why the mesh is there.. "to prevent stones should one get through the filter.. lol"
  13. LOL... Funny as The older lazier cousin has been around a bit so we all know what gets her going. Thats half the fun isn't it?
  14. lol.. No problems Darren. Will give you a buzz.
  15. Busky2k, Have you checked out the optimax extreme down at Findon? http://www.coles-express.com.au/locator.asp Its supposed to be sorted by the 18th of Sept..
  16. Yer it is... GT35r .82 on the RB30's are all in around 3500rpm maybe a tad later depending on cams. They start making boost around 2k but.
  17. Mafia... I think your better off grabbing one of garretts internal gate turbine housings. For the street I consider the GT35r .82 on an RB30 with a 5speed only 'just' bearable. That counts out the GT35r on an rb25 UNLESS its behind an auto which makes a massive difference as to the way the turbo comes on. To be honest a GT35r .82 behind an rb25 auto feels similiar to that of a GT35r on an 5speed Rb30. Its quite freaked out how the turbo loves the auto. Behind the RB25 5speed used for the street... I would go the GT30r running the 76mm 56t comp wheel; .82 internal gate turbine housing, possible grab one of ROGUEPI on ebay (who's AMOSITE here on SAU). He flogs the internal gate GT30r's for the low to mid 1700's. The GT35r internal gates go for high 1700's. So well priced. GT3540r Internal GT3040r Internal He had the GT3076 floating around yesterday, can't find it right now. and the port shroud adaptor he does. Steve who used to own an r33 some years ago ran a HKS3037S which is essentially the GT30r 76mm 56t comp wheel with a nice little comp cover. RoguePI sells little insert bits that bolt in to your comp cover inlet to make it similiar to that of the HKS comp housing. Running 23psi I think it was, cams, plenum, exh. manifold he made 323rwkw. Also on a stock bottom end that had a thicker headgasket slotted in to drop the static comp. Ran well and never let go. He ended up returning the car to stock and selling. I'm not sure if its possible to use the same comp cover; I'm guessing yours is the 52t 82mm comp wheel? The GT3540r's run the 56t comp wheel. Disco will know.
  18. So end of this is correct then. The little old RB20 at around 7200rpm used to see 145km/h in third. Quite a difference in gear ratios.
  19. PFC? Might just be granny shifting. Doubt it.. Somethings wrong.. power not getting to the wheels if your not clicking 4th and getting up close to 100mph ts.
  20. Jason.. What sort of power are you putting out? To be passing the line at the end of third gear something is wrong. Not the gearing but lack of power.
  21. Yer not sure what it was in... Car was green.
  22. hehe why has it spanked your arse before?
  23. Its definitely worth it. Both for economy and power. In shootout mode the higher the IT sensor reading the greater the correction applied to your power reading. So grab two cars making the same power; one with a cai, one without. Hit the strip and the one with the cai will be quicker. Which is why I'm not a believer of placing the IT sensor on the pod. It really should be placed in front of the car in the airstream leaving the fan. The results would then reflect real world results more accurately. Due to the setup of shauns dyno its not uncommon to see the IT temps reading lower than the AT temps. The fan blows air in from the front of the work shop where as the AT sensor is located up near the PC. I believe we saw this occur last year.
  24. I'm familiar with down south.. Quite a few nice places with large car parks down past Maslins Beach. There even used to be a road with the 1/4 marked out for personal use of young hoons.
  25. R32 is as simple as it can get. There's a nipple on the turbo's compressor cover, a hose runs from that to the actuator. Simply shove the bleeder int he middle of that hose.. You can't cut it as its too short; head down and buy a length of hose.
