Integrated I've found pay well.. They are a good bunch of blokes/women and don't get all high and mighty like some other labour higher places I know of. They also don't come out to where you are working and start nosing around. I've found they also tend to pay the most. Pay is always over $16. usually $17-18. Good bunch of ppls, treat them right and they will most definitely look after you. If you are after full time work Addecco are apparently the ones to go for. All though I was offered a job at boral; asphalt lab testing and general asphalt surveying after it had been laid. I passed it up due to uni but it was an enjoyable job; quite relaxed, good people and awesome pay.

What Do You Think Of My Drag Slip...14.78sec Et
Cubes replied to r33madd's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I remember the rb20 with with 160rwkw running 205's.. They would light up and skate around in second. They were near the end of their life though. How worn a tyre is makes a huge difference to its traction levels. -
Busky2k, Motormates here in Adelaide have all the elf gear.

Well thats exactly it.. It comes down to tyres. It really is amazing what a decent set will do to traction. -
SAY WHAT? Refer to your slip that came with them.

That Kiwi GTR sounds like an Auto. is it?

2.4 Rb20 Stroker Or Drop An Rb25det In?
Cubes replied to Lukaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Its easy to get an RB25det reg'd in an R32. Here in Adelaide they need to run the stock ecu, R33 GTST front brakes and thats it. Unsure what the price of an R33 motor and ecu is worth these days but it 'may' work out better simply grabbing yourself an R32 RB25DE and dropping a set of aftermarket cast or forged (which ever your budget permits) pistons in it to drop the compression with a cheap refresh. For near the same cost (maybe +1k ) of an R33 motor and ecu you end up with a fresh 2.5ltr. The bonus of the R32 RB25DE motor is they are identical (sensor, plugs, injectors, bolt ups etc) to that of the RB20DET, so simply rip the rb20det out, drop the rb25 in, start it on the rb20 ecu and drive it to the tuners to ensure afr's are good, which they will be but MAY hit an early fuel cut as the ecu won't expect so much airflow at a lesser rpm. -
Damn u got good eyes.. I can't pick it.. :S

mad082, Similiar as to what the japs do... But they use the handbreak. To the OP. Have a good look at your tyres.. Tyres get slippery as they get low, not to mention if they are a cheapish tyre. I recently went a toyo and the grip compared to the old set (even when the old were new) was amazing. If I remember correctly federal make a really good well priced grippy street tyre. Sky30 runs them behind his 300rwkw RB30. -
1bar at 3000k does sound a little optimistic. As Paul said.. The rb20's have enough trouble making 1 bar at 3000rpm on the stock turbo. I would expect a smallish highflow to be all in by ~4k.
-
If you go so big be sure to grab a set of twin or quad squirters. Injectors so large atomize fuel badly resulting in poor fuel economy at low rpm.

Youd be best of creating a seperate thread for that one. Or use the search button and select any date in the search from drop down box.

Such a pitty they didn't release a 4door GTR.. Pumped rear guards would have looked awesome.

New Garrett Gt3540 Internal Gate Is Here + Dyno Results

Good to know, not as much as I expected. The VL auto box's definitely suck a little more out of the motor then. -

Its a few years old. Hitek's as you know is basically bran spankin new. SR910 was the only person that I know of that had issues on the day so really it was just bad luck. MS75 with his Toyo 4.5ltr turbo made 391rwkw, Sky30 making 306rwkw on 18-19psi, Terry (x-jms owner) R33 making 350rwkw. So there was plenty of other cars there from other dyno's there on the day that made the power they expected. I think SR910 just had bad luck on the day. -

Your not still sooking? As said over on ct.com It could have still be in cold ign retard and afr enrichment.. It could have been the way it was strapped down.. could have been.... who knows and who cares.. -

It would be nice to see it on the rollers but personally I probably wouldn't juuuuuuust incase it made less power. lol That would eat at me. Either way buddy.. Just asking if you had plans to or not. -

Noisy Diff/gearbox When Reversing!
Cubes replied to R32_Matt's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Chriso.... Mine makes a horrid noise with the clutch in and rolling backwards. Its definitely not the usual reverse gear noise you are talking about. Have another read of the OPs post you will see his makes mention its really loud when the clutch is in and moving backwards. Its not normal, mines still hanging in there so meh.. until it blows. If it does I'm considering auto... Will work well with a slight shift kit and the rb30's off idle boost. I know of an r33 running its stock auto that for some time was pushing 240-280rwkw on his stock auto, he's now up to 317rwkw running 25-26psi through his gt35r. So the auto's appear to be quite tuff. -
Yep needs to be tested underload, I was able to see mine drop at idle and rev's. So an intank lift pump to an external pump is too much draw on the std r32 wiring. The R33's may not see the voltage drop as much as an R32 as their battery is in the boot. I saw such a voltage drop as I run the standard intank pump and an external bosh. So 2 pumps drawing through the small wiring. Mearcat, wiring resistance over distance.

Awesome results Darren, as you said stock head, plenum, cams and an auto. Definitely an excellent power figure for the boost run not to forget its an auto that are well known for sucking out a bit of power. No doubt if it was behind a manual you could throw another 30rwkw on to the figure. Also looks like that stock wastegate size is working well, its definitely able to pass the air required as it is dropping boost at the top end. Great to see you've made use of those internals with a peak of 26-27psi. Still dumb founded.. 317rwkw on the stock auto, tough little auto box's those. So... Is it scary.. -

Yes I'm sure Grepin mentioned it was the .87. He has had it for some time and initially was around the 280rwkw as well. Time + money + R&D and they squeezed a little more out of it. -

Sly33, Grepin runs a HKS2835pros and has managed to squeeze a touch over 300rwkw out of his. He has had a few issues with it dropping boost and I believe it still does but improving the breathing has allowed it to make more power. I believe he has Tilbrooks work on his car.
