  1. I've diagnosed loom problems with my pfc with I had an AFM loom problem. Your tuner should be able to do the same.
  2. itbilmils, Was this what fixed it or was the std earths (with a nice clean surface) with the cover on sufficient?
  3. So it appears it can be one of three things. 1. Rocker covers. 2. Gearbox input shaft seal. 3. Engine rear main seal.
  4. You only need to throw a plate on the cross over pipe then bolt the bov back over the top of it. Be sure to use gaskets. But...... Don't fiddle.. Just leave it. The stock bov is there for a couple of reasons, improve part throttle drivability and to aid turbo life.
  5. lol... Your not blocking off the bov. By blocking off the boost feed you are allowing it to open easily as there is no pressure on the opposite of the diaphragm, Pressure on the opposite side of the diaphragm equalises the pressure and holds the bov shut under boost.
  6. I've attached a vid of the first start up.. A little hard to hear exactly how loud it was due to running no exhaust. Movie.wmv
  7. My initial thought was top end. All though I haven't heard an rb big end I can say it definitely doesn't sound like any big end i've heard before. Its too clacky sounding. In fact the idling sounds exactly what my freshly built RB30 sounded like upon its initial start until the lifters pumped up.
  8. Mine looked exactly the same... Gear front input shaft seal. Gearbox oil motor oil looks feels pretty much the same.
  9. Be patient.. I've had things take 1.5weeks to arive when sent by regular. If you want it and don't want to wait pay the extra for express.
  10. Its not bad for the motor unless your in top gear trying to lug it out of a corner with the motor clearly labouring. Select the correct gear for the road speed and it will be perfectly fine.
  11. I saw an orange R32 down near Anzac on Friday night.
  12. Luck of the draw if u get a good one or not.
  13. A car that is maintained should never achieve fuel economy so poor. Drive it lightly for a complete tank and you should see at LEAST 400km's to a tank of juice ~50litres. A few places to start looking regarding fuel economy. O2 sensor, airflow meter, injectors. When my fuel economy went to sh*t and started getting 350km's to a tank I replaced the o2 sensor with no affect, I then replaced injectors and it was all fine and dandy again. and for the cold start hessitation.. The only way I fixed mine was with a PFC.
  14. Yep $50 is a rip for a turbo flange gasket u lhave shown there. The exh. mani gasket is $110 from my local nissan.
  15. I'm about to do mine.. Shall be interesting how much crap has built up after 150,000km's and almost 5yrs.
  16. Thank christ we don't see acid rain here in Adelaide.
  17. Has it had an safc on it some time during its life? If so check where it was fiddled with in the loom.
  18. Drop the stock airbox back in and see if it idles correctly. Google for a mitsubish/lancer forum.
  19. For that price I would think it will live a short life and end up like this.. Look familiar?
  20. I've had to use plyers in the past, sometimes you damage the hose but if its stuck its stuck. Rip the sucker off.
  21. Here's a pic of the loom where the single 12v injector feed splits.
  22. Yes indeed.. Post up here so when some one searches they will find.
  23. I have H3C's... Also had H3C in the last set of headlights too. I want H1's... More range available.
  24. What side is the clear projector? Drivers or passengers? Every one I've seen is on the passenger side.
  25. Thats quite a jump in airflow. Even if it does max out its of no great concern.
