Hey Pizza Boy; I had the same when I ran the projector lights that don't have the reflector ring around them. I've seen 2 other R32's with the projector (no rim reflector) have the same thing, being one of the projectors are misty the other is clearish. I then dropped a set of projector lights in it that have the ring around the projector and they were both misty looking. I must also say they throw out more light than the old non-ring projector headlights.

New Garrett Gt3540 Internal Gate Is Here + Dyno Results
Cubes replied to dangerman4's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That’s only if it is required... If you can size the internal gate appropriately then there really is no benefit with the use of an external gate. Of which Dangerman is soon to find out once he dials in 20 psi. My guess is he will need to pull the turbo off again and do the usual XR6 wastegate mod. Hopefully not. Hell its a built motor, let it have 30psi. -
I've just had a look through the pics of forged pistons I have. Arias, CP don't appear to have stampings on top, all on the bottom. Wiseco have stampings on the top BUT are nothing like what you list.

Disco Thanks for the pics buddy.. You know I'm a Pic man. ------------ Rolls Pros: Compact & cost saving Cons: If the internal gate hasn't been designed correctly its quite possible boost will creep at higher boost pressures. Boost creep is where the wastegate is unable to pass enough exhaust gas to keep boost at its preset level, as a result boost continues to rise uncontrollably. Boost creep will usually occur if one attempts to run the higher boost levels. For example you may be able to hold 15psi perfectly but upping the boost to 18psi may see boost creep 18, 19, 20psi as revs increase. Thats my understanding. -
Its definitely not coils... Coils make the dyno graph look like little spikes. I would look at fuel and ignition timing. Check afr's are good, if so check your CAS is ok.

quiksta, What fuel do you run?

Can't say I've ever seen an RL UOA when used under race conditions. Care to post a linky?

No R32 GTST? The pic shown looks the same as the R32 GTST type. Price is not spectacular, any chance it can be improved upon?

Cheaper Alternative To Splitfire Coilpacks - Externally Mounted

Its amazing what a set of good pads will do to the r32's brakes. Mine have a better feel than any other car I've driven. Extremely predictable and easy to control if they lock. -
An IC or piping leak will cause the car to feel as if its struggling when trying to make boost as it will be grosely overfueling. Can you hear the turbo spooling at all?

Its also best to run a 12.5degree angle matched the size of the back of the turbine/wastegate to the desired final pipe size. Where does it end... arggg. -

Don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to pick the design; in fact every other dump I've seen has the join on the outer edge. I'm hoping some one with a little flow dynamics knowledge will stuble upon my post shed some light as its always bugged me a little. I have Never seen a dump designed the way I stated in my previous post. But omg.. your dump pipe does look nice; the fit is very tight. The .82 definitely looks smaller than the 1.06 iw i've seen. -
I had them do my exhaust system. Back then they swore black and blue that the split dumps don't increase power or spool, they said it was a load of crap. I think it was more the case they hadn't done one before. Ahh well now these gt35r internal gates are out I will be grabbing a new dump soon anyway.

New Garrett Gt3540 Internal Gate Is Here + Dyno Results

Looks very nice.. From a flow perspective; would it be better to place the location of the join on the inside of the bend instead of the outside? Or if possible on a straight section. I am visualising the air flowing through the pipe and as it follows the bend it tries to push up hard against the outer edge of the bend, it then approaches the join as the air is pressed up against the outer edge of the bend and causes turbulence as it tries to flow in to it a touch. If that join were on the inside of the bend I would think there would be less turbulence as the air can follow the outer edge of the pipe without interuption. Is that the correct way to think about flow dynamics? I've done ZERO studies on flow dynamics so really have no idea; simply an attempt to visualise how the air flows through the pipe. Reason I ask is I have seen many dump pipes done like this and always been curious....... -

lol.. good news Disco.. Didn't take you long. I bet you almost instantly jumped in the car and drove to have a look. Didn't catch what one would be looking at to grab an internal gate housing? -
Yep the Jun items have dropped considerably. They used to be $600 from Nengun.
-
Its not like its expensive though... $300 odd and its installed. If one cant stretch the budget $300 then wait another pay or two until u can then build it up.
-
I'd still say every rb build should have a full length collar. Its cheap insurance. Youd really be silly not to do it while its apart. But if its already done well... too bad not much one can do.

Does make me nervous especially if I accidently miss a shift.

I was down at boostworx recently and was speaking to a bloke that recently bought a tidy looking R32 GTST. He was told it previously pulled 170rwkw and had a highflow turbo. Ran it up on the dyno and it was clear it was a standard turbo. It made 160rwkw on 13psi with 11.5:1 AFR's Which is a fair effort. In car feel wise I remember with mine there was a fair difference between 11psi and 13psi. Looking at the dyno sheet again; 150rwkw with a cat back 3". I suspect it may very well be on the money as the afr's are near perfect.

Clutch Bleeding Problems

Ahh yes.. So.. to send this thread off track.. Hows the RB25 feel in the r32 compared to the rb25 when it was in your old R33? -
Clutch Bleeding Problems
Cubes replied to Psymon's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Predator; Instead of the braided clutch line I simply removed the centerbox and bent the line 180degree's in to the rubber hose that runs to the slave cylinder. Works well and is free. EDIT: Checked the link.. I've just repeated myself. lol -
I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
Cubes replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yours is strange. If you have removed the high/low 2 stage boost the r33 runs it shouldn't still be spiking. -

Awesome news!!!! Out of curiosity.... Do they have a .63 internal gate gt3540?
