  1. xt7's are only 9 inch wide max in 17in. 9.5 is only available in 18's.
  2. Come on guys... surely you want to grab yourself a christmas present to make you go faster in the new year. I can't believe I can't sell them at this price they are dirt cheap! Price reduced to 800 not negotiable.
  3. Surely someone wants to go fast round the track these are a bargain! I paid 2k for these and have done two trackdays. Price reduced to $900.
  4. Hi Roy, tyres are perfect no flat spots or uneven wear at all. 60% is probably a bit conservative... It was the front right when I was at EC and got a bit more punished
  5. Have some A050's in Medium compound for sale. They are 255/40/17 all round. They have done two track days, one at Eastern Creek, the other at Wakefield. Current wear is: 2x80% 1x90% 1x60% Looking for $1000 for the 4 of them which I think is dirt cheap since they are 2k new. Contact: via PM James
  6. The root of the problem in this case sounds to be a lack of front camber. Easiest and best solution is to buy front camber arms and change them before and after the track day. Think you'll then find the car is balanced. A car without camber at the track is horrible. If you use R comps further to Bad Hair Dave's comments with no front camber you'll wear your $1000 front tyres in 1 track day on the outside. Unfortunately there isn't really a way to fix a lack of front camber with anything but more front camber. R comps have miles more grip and I can't see it working on the front just because they have sooo much more grip.

  8. Duncan, I feel for you. Appreciate you posting this up and the research you have gone into fairly (not internet propaganda). I always seem to come back to something someone told me years ago with rims. It comes down to production costs and accounting.... When buying rims you can pick any two of the below: 1. Strong 2. Light 3. Cheap It would appear its been verified again here. I suspect that the manufacturing costs of producing rims properly (strong & light) and cheaply simply isn't feasible when physics meets margin.
  9. Looks really good. Just so you're aware, Falken Azenis aren't R compound tyres. They are just hardcore street tyres. Get some proper semi slicks (RE55's, R888's, D03G, A050's) and they'll take another 2 seconds off your time
  10. Dig this up again.... I'm hearing very positive things. Anyone with direct comparable experience to RE55's that can comment?

    Performance Box

Can I suggest you give Unique autosports a call re group buy pricing thats where I got mine from. I have one of these they are awesome.
  14. In an sr20 180sx the whole system including condensor and pump weighs nearly 30kgs...
  15. If I hadn't bought a race logic performance box (with data logging) i'd buy it. Friend of mine has it and really likes it.
  16. As long as the oil levels are on high enough on the dip stick even with stock oil it will be fine... What ever you do... don't even consider going out on the track without bleeding the brakes with a dot 4 fluid. Secondly, personally I wouldn't go out on the track without some pads that at the very least are sports pads that can take a bit of heat... ie. bendix ultimates at the very least but even they are very ordinary pads. As somebody said before, if you can't stop trust me the day will just be scary, you'll have no fun and probably crash the car.
  17. Should probably remove that link- shows the product brand new as a package for $2585 vs yours secondhand for $2240. Supposed to be very good setup though.
  18. How large is the trade off lower in the rev range given the turbo's are now larger?
  19. Run a 235/40/18 and a 'relatively' aggressive wheel alignment and they will fit with just rolled guards. Always looks worse firstly, when the car is off the ground as the rims get positive camber, and secondly without some mildly stretch tyres. Either way, very good price- good luck with the sale.
  20. Was an awesome weekend. I was helping run the Crompton mustang in sports sedan. An incident with a tyre wall on saturday during qualifying dampened spirits but we got it back together looking as good as new for Sunday. Matt- have you got any pics of the green and blue mustang? Its massively wide fibreglass body, olive green and blue?
