  1. T3 or t2 flange? That will decide whether it fits skylines or 200sx's/silvia's.

    My R33 Gtr

GTR turbo's have ceramic wheels that fall off and can disintegrate when they are spun too hard... ie>14psi.
  3. Blacksx should also be attending superlap... he is no more than 0.5 second behind boxhead and a good steerer himself.
  4. I would avoid using CES if it was me. There was a large contigent of satisfied 200sx's using them and they worked well until they got really hot on the track... Then nearly all of them cracked severly. Ironically now none of them use them and went to HKS dumps.
  5. Exactly the same turbos in the right spec see link below. Note there is three model number and specs for 34 n1's even though two of them appear to be the same. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tbroom/Turbos.htm
  6. If you go -5's I would be putting in cams to make best use of them. Otherwise the car is laggier than it has to be for the power you make. For a stock motor I would go with -7's/gtss +pfc+pressure reg+full good jap exhaust and run 1.1-1.2 bar and be happy with the 280-300rwkw you make. Saves you having to replace afm's, fuel pump, injectors and cams to go the next step.
  7. Vertex ridge is the widebody. This is a vertex lang.
  8. Out of interest, why are you looking at purchasing another auto (evo gta) when you are the editor of a magazine that revolves around absolute uncompromised performance on the circuit, drifting and to a lesser extent, drag?
  9. For the benefit of others, where corner did this happen? How did it happen?
  10. Looks great. Couple of questions: Why has it got series 2 headlights? Is it still the standard gearbox?
  11. I think you have the offset wrong because a 9 inch wide rim with +22 would not sit under neath the guard of a gtst as they do on your car. 9 inch with +30 just fits.
  12. Anyone know how to go about putting your name down? He has tried quite a number of Nissan dealers who all say they can't currently help as they don't even have pricing information let alone a waiting list!? Would be pretty stupid of nissan not to release these figures so that cars could be preordered. I have heard of it happening already in VIC. James
  13. +1 Really easy 5 minute fix to make the problem "go away" why its getting tested. I would only muck around with mufflers if it was annoyly loud. 93db isn't very loud at all.
  14. Make sure you get some cams the stock ones are very restrictive at that sort of power level. I would be surprised if you get to that number without them. You'll also want cam gears so you can can give the engine some more overlap. Think of an engine like an air pump you need bigger cams to let more air in for a given engine revolution and cam gears to time the air getting in and out for maximum efficiency (power not emissions though )
  15. FYI incase your interested- You can have a straight cut gearset with synchros. You can also have a helical set with dog engagement but nobody would do it. The OS sets from memory are a straighter helical gearset than the standard ones which makes them noiser but obviously stronger.
  16. I am yet to see an intercooler that has even two cores let alone three. Radiators come in dual and triple core which is I think what you are thinking of.
  17. I my humble opinion the t517z 8.0cm are too small for a stroker. I would go hks2530's. They will come on boost around 3000rpm with a stroker. The mines gtr use them and it is one of the fastest in the world around a track that is still a street trim car. You could even go the hks gtrs. I know a r33 gtr that has a 2.8 tomei stroker and gtrs' and comes on boost about 3300rpm and makes 400rwkw. Note your gearbox can become fragile at over 350rwkw if you give it a hard time. Especially the series 1 boxes. You said earlier you bought a pfc with the boost solenoid and that it is self learning... I am not sure who told you that but that is incorrect. I am sure you and your tuner now know this, but all computers are only as good as the person that tunes it so make sure you don't skimp on that. If you want to compete in dutton etc your priority should be suspension as power is no good if you can't get it to the ground. I would suggest some bilstein PS9's which will set you back about 4k but will do the job very well. If you want to spend less I would get tein monoflex. Swaybars are a must in my opinion. I would suggest some whiteline bars. You are also going to need castor and camber. You can do that with either adjustable rose jointed arms which are the 'best' solution for the track or with bushes which won't give you as much adjustment but will avoid the rattling that goes with rose jointed arms. If you are not sure what you are talking about my suggestion would be to talk to 'Sydneykid' on these forums as he is extremely knowledgable and can provide a solution that will work. In regard to diffs I would get 1.5 way's front and rear as 2 ways are just too harsh and make the car even more inclined to understeer if you put it in the rear. If you put a 2 way in the front it will make it difficult to steer. I would stick to nismo diffs if it was me and you also need to be aware that aftermarket mechanical diffs are very noisey and make horrible noises. In regard to the clutch it is not something I would skimp on as you really want to be able to control the take up easily and smoothly to drive the car well especially in tight events like dutton. I would get a nismo super copper mix or an osgiken. Yes they are expensive but they are for a reason. Hope that helps.
  18. GTR mod for GTT sounds interesting..... :laughing-smiley-014:
  19. How about the s15... They were still being built after 2001 and make awesome track cars. There is guys doing 1.08.01's round wakefield in cars that have a HKS GTRS and coilovers. My car handles much better than a friend of mines R33 gtst with bilsteins. I really like GTR's to. I am just ready for a new toy and I have wanted a GTR for a very long time so am about to sell my s15 to buy one but they aren't THAT good. They are very heavy and not really that well balanced and quite slow standard. Their quarter mile time is deceiving because of the 60 foot time they get due to the 4wd. In gear acceleration which is what we all 'feel' and a GTR is not very fast. And re your drift comment.... that is seriously ignorant... Drift was a sport nobody wanted to support until there was a large following. Thats where touge drift comes from because that WAS the sport for many years- an illegal activity frowned upon. This is not a personal attack but I am sure if you saw somebody talking about something they clearly had no idea about you would correct them because you see they are a bit lost...
  20. Its a series 1. Must be one of the last of them. The steering wheel (old design) and lack of passenger airbag=series 1
