  1. ! Thanks for that Jon - you are a true Gentleman Dan, you forgot Group F - reserved for the Fatz/B-Man 8 sec corolla project - and that's on the gravel track around the outside of EC - I think 1:55's are on the cards. Oh, well one day I'll be able to run my car are EC - Looks like Pete & I are on BBQ & Beer duty (Oh, no alcohol at EC, I remember.......)
  2. Hey John, You were getting me & JimX mixed up - Very similar cars though. I think you prolly know how well my car is going at them moment. So we might just leave it that hey. I'll come down one Saturday and have a bit of a chin wag to you Nick about it. I've already mentioned this to Nick. It's good to see so many positive comments about the improvement in Customer Service at UAS. I used to go in there nearly every second lunchtime with a pocket full of cash, but no-one wanted to help me, or, doubted what I was conveying to them, so I stopped going in. With this latest feedback, I'll be sure and stop in more often now as UAS always stocks top gear - I suppose sometimes, people like myself like to know exactly what we are buying, before we fork out the folding. And if we can't get decent, quality, un-interepted, time talking to someone, we tend to perceive that some folks don't care or are not interested. BTW, it's not just UAS I have experienced this Phenomenon, there are other's who are much worse. But like I said - fantastic to hear about the turn around. And can't wait to get back in there. Please don't take this as negative critisism, but as constructive feedback. Cheers, Brendan Oh, PS - welcome to SAU !
  3. I knew I should have made copies of Dino's set when I had them . . . . . Damn:rolleyes:
  4. Ok, so we all agree that the inline 6 is a very well balanced sweet sounding motor. But don't ya just love the sound of a V8 ??? I love the growl (and the sound of the V8..........let see who gets that ?) Why does the V8 sound (to me) better then an inline 6 ? Don't get me wrong , when my turbo spools up and that R33 induction noise is happening, I get a half wood - But it goes to 3/4 wood when I hear a sweet V8 (like a Soarer that has been worked a bit - nice) PS - I'd still beat them all off the line but........
  5. Join SAU Victoria or NSW or whatever - I'm sure they have the stickers - I got mine when I joined SAU NSW !! There are heaps more benefits than just stickers to join the club too .... or so I'm told ! Cheers,
  6. Nice stack by the Lotus ..... Go Brocky (did I say that ????) Yeah - Go the R34 !
  7. Dan, what's up ?? Can I help (have half broken car remember)
  8. I'll be bringing the 8 sec Corolla ! ! So I can take photos of the day !
  9. Bikini babe - wash and wax day...... eg: http://www.bikiniwash.com.au/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...96847#post96847
  10. Thinking of pulling my engine out myself - (2 pistons stuffed, prolly ringlands) - Then, getting (someone else) to do a strong rebuild on it. Then put it back in myself. (RB25DET , R33 GTS-t Ser 1) Am I crazy ?? Who has done this before ? Can you help ? (Note I am pretty handy with a spanner, socket and multi-purpose adjuster he he ) So - How ?? In what order, What do I need in terms of tools an equipment (I have most already) ?? Can you do this without a chassis hoist ? (maybe i need to hire and engine hoist - cause not good support on the ceiling of the garage) Am prepared to document and photograph the process in return for solid (virtual) help. (helps all SAU folks) No fixed timeframe, but tentatively starting in 4 weeks and finishing in 12-18 weeks after that. All the good bits (external) have already been installed (if you don't know what I mean, do a search) Goal = >300rwkw What do ya reckon ?? Good idea or Shit idea ?? Cheers,
  11. Bonkers, A great result - I used to take my Series 4 rotor to Rics, a few years back - they were always good, affordable and professional. Do you know if Ric can tune EMS ? Cheers,
  12. No worries George, I just thought other members might like to know what went down in the meeting (ie what motions were put forward and carried, etc) . And how the Exec committee was elected. Cheers,
  13. Looking forward to see the minutes of the meeting.. (no rush, and I'm not pushing to get them out sooner rather than later, just please ensure they are accurate ..) Thanks, Cheers,
  14. Royal Turrumurra !- What a track ........ Dan, no probs mate - Had anticipated on Fatz coming round, so a couple of kegs might be in order
  15. Well, - It's half dead cause it still starts and is driveable. It's still a beast - cause beasts are ugly and when you hear it running, it sounds ugly (a bit like a fully sik WRX)
  16. I propose an "Engine rebuild weekend" . Y'all come round to mine, and take the farqued donk out - rebuild the farquer to bullet proof. Then run boost her up to 26 PSI and take her down to EC drags, and see what breaks next ! he he he:D
  17. Lost compression in 2 cylinders - you can work the rest out - not a good result Jan !
  18. Pete, the drag project lives - And you can have it back for a mars bar wrapper (j/k) As soon as I do what ever I decide to do with my half dead R33 beast, then it's back on as the weapon 8 second rolla. PS- Got your VM message - sounding very good ! Thanks heaps !
  19. Sorry Nick, I changed the post ......I'll being talking to Mark at UAS ! Cheers,
  20. Any more would be a bonus - Need guarentee on power and reliablity (not verbal)
  21. Need top Engine builder for advice/quote. To Re-build my RB25DET to Bulletproof. All specs & prices must be quoted in writing. Guaranteed timelines a must. I will not neccessarily go with the cheapest quote. Refereneces a must. I already have a quote that I am very happy with - but posting this cause I (as a consumer of HiPo stuff) am entiltled to do so ! If you are game, try me !
