Lozza, I'd suggest posting a new thread in the NSW Events section with date, time and location. FYI - Carlo and I posted a request to join their cruze on the MRT Subaru forum - There were no objections - so I reckon that would be appropriate - I also reckon that following the Scubes on the day would be appropriate.

OK, here goes. . . I know Dino said he wasn't sure about the VP position, but I think that his contribution to the club has been outstanding to say the least. It would be very sad for SAU to lose him. Therefore , I would like to nominate Dino for President. /me runs and hides from Prank......... Dude, I still luv ya heaps, and I am not voting you off, just nominating Dino..........

Hi Dino, re: the paste I did from the R&C - I just thought folks might want to know the process, cause I was just about to post a bunch of questions, but then thought, I'd better read the R&C. I think everyone is flexible with the way the club is evolving. Good to hear from all the peoples about the elections - Sorry to hear that some peeps are un-decided about standing again. I reckon the current committee has done a fantastic job. Forming the club committee, taking members, organising the bobbin head meet, starting the CAMS process, getting the Famous Classic Insurance thing going, - I'm sure there are many more things that I have missed too. Well, if there are some spare spots that folks that aren't standing for, I'm sure there are plenty of keen takers to add some more value to the best car club in NSW - SAU. We’ve heard from most all of the current committee and who will be standing – but what I haven’t seen is why I should vote for them (no offence peeps). Some members may also not know who has done what for the club in the past so reflecting on that may help the process too. If I were standing for a nomination, I would be preparing a list of ideas, policies etc, to encourage members to vote or me. For instance, as a member, these are the things I would like to see out of the club in the next 12 months. * Recruiting more members - (this is the big one) More members mean more benefits and more fun * More member benefits - parts, accessories, services, etc (helps with above) More benefits mean more members * Some club merchandise - T-Shirts, Caps, Jackets, etc (more over time) * Organising more events (cruzes, dyno days, club drag nights, track days) * Incorporating the un-official SAU positions into the Exec committee (Newsletter Ed and Events Organiser) * Club social outings - dinners, BBQs, pissups (no drink driving of course), * Charity events * Affiliations & strategic relationships with like-minded clubs, organisations and companies (To help enthusiasts with EPA and RTA defection compliance and avoidance amongst other things) * Group club entries into various car shows etc * Various sponsorships to help the ongoing funding of the club and member benefits * Club business cards for all members - (helps with recruitment) * Virtual place to meet for club members (eg: private forum – Some of this list may be being planned, but I don’t know about it. And if I don’t, other members might not either) * Roadmap for club future, with rough timelines (so members and potential members can see what’s being planned) * Events Calendar - at least one event per month (encouraging as many as the Exec Committee to participate in these too) * Finalise CAMs process (not much to go, I understand) * Regular Exec Committee meetings with published minutes * Raising the profile of Skylines and Performance Imports, responsibly Just to name a few - - well, we can always strive for perfection right ???? Beasly> So all that said, I might stand for a nomination, if folks are thinking along the same lines as me - that's of course is if there is an appropriate position that's available...(and I am nominated) If not, that's cool too - as you prolly know, I like to express my opinions and I like to see things get done - So, if nothing eventuates, I can always help "keep the bastards honest...." he he Anyways, thanks for the feedback! Cheers,
-
Assumption correct (on my behalf) - and yeah, if people are sticking around to eat - that's good too !
-
He he - well there you go Dino, You'll have to stay involved with the club now

Nominations must be in writing, and forwarded to the Secretary at least twenty-one days before the AGM, accompanied by a written memorandum from the candidate agreeing to serve, if elected. In the event of there being insufficient nominations so received, those to hand shall be automatically elected and nominations shall then be called from those members present to fill the vacancies. 8.2 A list of the names of the candidates for each position, in alphabetical order, shall be forwarded to the members of the Club at least fourteen days before the AGM. Balloting lists shall be prepared containing the names of the candidates only and each ordinary member present at the AGM shall be entitled to vote for any number of such candidates not exceeding the number of vacancies. 17.1 At all meetings, i.e. AGM, EGM and GM, every financial Ordinary or Life Member shall be entitled to one vote. Best Allrounder Turbo (Upgrade) for RB25DET
B-Man replied to b0neR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You gotta figure in the differences in dynos and the relativity of this. For Example: When my car was stock, on the Hills Dyno 140rwkw (DMX, non shootout mode) - On the Uni-group dyno 150 rwkw (DynoDynamics shootout mode) - That's a 7.1% difference. The 235 rwkw I talk about is off the Hills Dyno - so if I take my 7.1% DD factor - then I am actually at 251 rwkw, which is prolly in line with expectations. You also gotta look at the torque curve. I prefer lots of torque accross the whole rev range , make the car much more drivable. n other words, it's not all about peak rwkw. (unless you wanna be a HP Hero/Dyno King, nuthin wrong with that BYW, if that is yr thing) At next opportunity I get, I wanna get a 1/4 mile time cause that is the real yardstick ! Cheers, -
To where ??? he he - I know, I know, I am a pain in the arse ......

Might be fouled plugs - Have fun taking them out to check them....

Ohhh - OK, if it is that easy - go for it - I spose I was just being an ultra conservative fuddy duddy......

Mark, get someone to the the lot for you - [risk mitigation] Reason: If you install it then take it to someone else to tune, then if the worst possible thing that could happen, happens, the dude that tuned it will say " well, you installed it , so it's your fault ". However, if you go to a reputable tuner ( there are lots on the site) And say, "I just got this in from Japan (or wherever) and I want you to install it and I want you to tune it for the best power WITHIN reasonable saftey limits" - and it goes to shite - you have got a much better case for re-course... Yeah, I know this is a 'glass half empty' responce, but for the extra few bucks, I reckon it's worth it...... Cheers,
-
Very sad news. RIP Dude !!!
-
Dan I was thinking the same thing.......... He he - yeah Pete - I'll swap you for mine - Cheaper insurance, Not as old, maybe less milage, less hassle, more sideways action and give a GTR a good run for it's money.......

I am running the GCG Hi Flow (500HP Jobbie) and am getting 235rwkw [non-shootout mode DMX dyno] (18PSI) and nice flat torque curve. The spool up sound is awsome - Boost starts at about 2100RPM and full boost by 3500 RPM. Cheers, -
Thanks Shell !

Anyone know the url(s) to that site where you can choose your car, choose some wheels and see what it looks like ??? Google is letting me down - or rather I can't think of the appropriate word to enter into the engine... Cheers,
