  4. dude if u think the gtr is easy to drive around think again.. loads of grip??? yer when ur going straight.. dont forget the fronts only work when the rears give up and u have the steering wheel resonably straight.. if it kicks out wildly, the fronts wont be comin on very strong at all... b4 my recent buy into the GTR world.. i owned a 350rwkw+ rx7 s5... it was lightning fast and had brakes to match, not to mention its ability to take any corner on, but when ur comin around a bend and the rear end steps out.. nothing is scarier than the GTR... its chassis is so unpredictable.. 1 mistake and ull kill urself because of it. Sliding/driftin is alot of fun.. but not when uve got torque steer @ the same time that ur tryin to correct it.. its pretty fkn wild... trust me. ive owned quite a few faster cars than my GTR, but non r as wild
  5. had a look @ ur pics.. looks like ur burnin oil in no.6 see it all the time @ work (engine reco place) and urs doesnt look all that bad thou... its not ur turbo. if it was, ud know about it. trust me, they dont blow lil bits of blue smoke.. when they go.. they blow massive amounts of white smoke. it looks like the oil control ring is on its way out and that piston is mighty dirtty lol lots of build up on it gl champ
  6. lol @ guy who said gtrs with these turbos dont make 300rwkw lolol dude.. with a pair of smaller hks 2530's u can crack the 330awkw mark.. these babies will more than flow enough for 350awkw.. stock gtr turbos r good enough for around 230-260awkw as for a rb25.. i personally think the turbo is too small as a single unit... its only 100cc smaller than an rb26 and theres no way in the world id run 1 gt2535 on my car.. it'd choke to death.. response would be awesome.. but id be so down on power... a GT30 runs perfect on a 2lt sr20.. and i can only imagine how much a better match it would be for an RB25 ive got plenty experiance with turbos and engines and id definately be gettin a GT30 for an RB25... with a .86 rear end
  7. ahh crap.. oh wellz try to isolate the problem first... screwdriver to ear is a good way... stethescope is the best way.. but how many of u guys have one.. lol make sure ur careful.. dont go near the belts or any moving parts

  10. lol @ big end.. as for tappets.... they have shims... check valve clearance... but if u were cainin it and it started afterwards.. doesnt look good 8000rpm isnt that bad for an rb26 anyway hahah i take mine to 9k every now and then and always hits 8k
  11. i didnt really believe it either.. ive heard and read about.. dont actually know anyone who runs 10s with stock box.. but if u do.. damn impressive.. i think durability is all about how u launch and shift.. if arent too hard on the box then it should last... i guess

  20. no, rather he builds australias fastest drag machines now instead and yes they spent billions of dollars on R&D to produce the limited run of GTRS just like the rest of world does on its outright race cars GTR was built only to beat everything on the track.

  22. geez you guys really need to get your shit together.. the r32 platform may have been released a few months before the GTR, but the GTR shell was only built for 1 purpose and that was to go racing... All other derivatives where in place so it didnt look as suss... can u imagine they release only a GTR?? too suss They were never going to go racing with the 2lt.. it was intended for a 2.4lt The awd wasnt flogged from porsche.. they have never built an infinite ratio awd system. The R33 GTR was released a whole year later and it was based on a passenger platform.. hence y it is so slow compared to the R32 and R34. And another thing.. the rules WERE changed to exclude the GTR from racing. If u dont think so, have a chat to a guy called Mel @ the kangan batman tafe... He had a big role back then
