  1. and they do the 1/4 in 10.04 secs and have a brake G Force of -1.6G's and they are already or should i say... have always commanded ridiculous money.. but its worth it. Its a super car killer in almost every aspect
  2. it will always hunt on cruise and idle... it'll go from rich to idle back and forth.. thats very standard and i see it every day on stock to highly modified cars Dont worry so much unless it leans on under fullload and i mean leaner than 14:1 under full load.. that could get very dangerous
  3. if it further helps ontop of boosted_r32's comment... i had a set of xforce extractors on my civic... and they fit perfectly. Everything was perfect from O2 sensor location to original bracket locations. and the difference they made... well worth money spent! im sure the dumps are gonna be just as good!
  4. Maybe im wrong.. but last time i checked the specs on a real 3076R.. the major wheel was 76mm.... not 70 id be very cautions.. especially because its in the states... Stay away
  5. Ok lets get back to the turbo comparison.. Ive seen great things from the GT-RS turbo but i must say that the GT2835 has a slightly larger compressor wheel (correct me if im wrong, but thats what i seen last.. ) which will give it a larger amount of airflow for the same boost pressures so long as its in its efficiency range
  6. yes it creates more heat.. but the BOOM part.. im sure ur thinkin of the wrong part going boom... first thing thats gonna happen is ur intake temps r gonna soar like crazy.. try 100deg+ 2ndly.. because of ur intake temps being sooo high, ull detonate causing a huge spike in cylinder pressure and it'll uncontrollable.. they will reach well over 3000kpa of pressure and all of a sudden, ull have rods smashin through the block Like i said before. I BUILD ENGINES FOR A LIVING. I SEE WANKERS WITH UR THINKING EVERY SINGLE DAY. Listen to the ppl who deal with this stuff every day.
  7. actually, i should say, do u know what happens to an engine when ur turbo runs above its efficency?
  8. ok just so we get this straight about how stupid u really are... a T88 kit for an RB26dett starts @ 6k if u have 6k to spend on a 1000hp+ turbo kit then u have plenty to do the motor Further more, who in their right mind would put a T88 kit on a stock motor? u must be stupid to do something like that or even suggest like u have. and just to add to that.. if u were stupid enough to do that, ull find that @ around 15psi ur engine would shit itself... not 25psi because u wouldnt get that far. Ontop of ur stupidity, do u know what happens to a turbo when its run outside its efficeny range?? do u even know what that means?? im going to wait for ur response on that one.
  9. nothing would happen to a T88 running 20psi because theyre maps r good for over 30psi... fairly stupid question. as for y does 90% run 17psiu or less... because 90% have stockish turbos or highflows which are not very efficent above 17psi. a GT2835 doesnt come into full stride till around 24-25psi so if ur running less.. then ur missing out. everyone can see how stupid u and your arguments are. Take a page from the pros and listen to us.
  10. zaneafsdkfaskd however its spelt.. i cant see it atm so i cant spell it. do u build motors for a living??? yes?? no?? shut up. u dont build shit otherwise u wouldnt be sayin the bullshit u say i have never seen a rod let go (under normal circumstances) due to power increases. 17psi is rubbish. increasing boost by 5 psi is about what?? 40kpa? not even? in a combustion chamber thats sittin in the 1500kpa+ 40ish isnt goinna do shit. so listen to everyone else and shut up and LISTEN. rods are rated @ hp not boost.. and stock rods are rated to roughly 100hp each. u should make around 600hp with stock rods. whether ur doing it with 5psi or 25psi.
  11. lol @ pumped a few R's... u sure they were R's? and i DONT believe u have tracked ur xr6t because im a regular tracker and an xr6t doesnt even keep up with my shitty civic around a track. its not about power either, its the fact that theyre are barges. The gtr dude might be thinkin about what gear he wants, but his still in front Ive ran many xr6ts, stock or worked, its always been the same outcome. They lose. Even those silly "my xr6t makes 400rwkw" wankers lose and i was making a lazy 300awkw... as for ur 500nm... mine made over 800nm the dyno And she feels it too hahah
  12. what makes u think a rebuild on a xr6t is cheap?? last one i did was in excess of 6k. and that was just a standard rebuild. as for xr6t is faster... lol yer ok my 200kw 180sx tore those things apart.. dont compare a race car with number plates to the titanic. numbers on paper are different to numbers in the real world. im yet to see an xr6t STOCK pull of a 13sec pass @ calder.. yet ive seen plenty of noobie gtr drivers reel off very 13s and hi 12s with no mods...
  13. tune kills rods... not boost. i ran 20psi on stock sr20det everyday for 2 years and it made 211rwkw with a highflowed T3 item. car was smashed and engine sold.. it was later stripped down by my mate who bought it and it was still in perfect condition. Its the tune that kills the rods. Abnormally high combustion pressures and temperatures that kills motors. Detonation. Not boost. My own stock gtr ran 17psi, till the one of the turbos exploded... nothing worng with the rods. Id go 2835. HKS turbos love boost since always. they get into theyre stride @ around 18-20psi and when ur sittin @ around 22-25/26 theyre gonna be singing.. just make sure u have a headgasket that'll support the extra boost
  14. lol on the ausrotary forum ill buy all 4 for 300 bucks champ lol
  15. not for long. gimme ur details so we can get this under way
  16. hmm im interested. im in need of a set of pistons n the lot.. i dont know whether these will do, but ill keep u posted. should know within a week.
  17. yer drop the price dude.. i bought one for 1700 awhile ago
  18. An adaptor will fit most aftermarket filters.. theyre pretty generic these days. Just Buy an adaptor that fits the neck of the filter and u should be fine. You could even ask to see if it fits. If ur nice enough they might let you
  19. Yes that is true... but its because it frustrates me how ppl with no knowledge on any subject can just give out info.. If u dont know, then dont post.. dont waste the persons time by going down a path thats not the right one. Im sorry
  20. welsh plugs are either 22mm or 30mm??? i work @ an engine reco shop... we have welsh plugs from 10mm to over 50mm.. and they are all used. dont talk nonsense about shit u dont know. It could be ANY size. it pays to measure the hole or ask ur local engine shop.
  21. Engine/Car: 93' GTR R32 Type of failure: Turbo Failure Factors influencing the failure: possibly high boost along with aged turbos State of tune of the engine: Perfect. Suspension and tyres: Irrelevant Oil used and service interval: Full Syn 10W/30 General comments: Turbo exploded and killed my engine.. now im up for a rebuild.. Great Not enough i build motors everyday i gotta do mine too...
  22. mine does that too.. no oil either.. and it only seems to "bubble" around the turbo area which gives me the impression that the water is boiling in that region.
  23. wtf does knock have to do with a clutch?? twin plates are noisy. ive installed trillions of the bastards and theyve all been noise.. thats how they are.. tripples r even worse and 4 r worse again. as for ur crunching. definately sounds like wrong oils. 75-140 is way too thick for the box anyway. Factory recommends 80/90 which is what i use and i have no problems @ all.. change ur oils. as for shudders and vibrations before takin off?? wtf does that even mean.. when u accel, petrol goes in motor, explodes, makes engine move connects to flywheel wihch moves clutch hence moves car.. it wont vibrate a few times b4 moving.. its not a horse. you open throttle, it moves, unless theres something wrong with ur tune/engine. gearbox doesnt have anything to do with that.. all it does is transfers energy from engine to wheels. where abouts are u from? i could give u a hand with it if ur in melb.
  24. 85-90 is ideal between brackets.. if ur just cruisin around doing nothing other then that... no thrashin, then ur oil coolin system sucks balls. Introducing minimal heat into the turbo will make it go to 100 real easy. while ur drifting/thrashin the car, 80-90 is ideal.. Stays relatively "cool" enough so it doesnt thin the oil out too much. If it strays over 110 while on the track, which will happen very quickly and easily, then pull over and let the shit cool down I had an oil cooler on my previous RX7 and while being severly cained, on a 40deg day the oil temp never rose above 85.. awesome cooling (had water spray) but on a cold day... it would struggle to get past 60deg. Oil pressure... around 20psi @ idle is ok.. even down to around 10ish is ok.. @ around 6000rpm ud want it be @ around 60psi (from memory)
  25. rb26 and gearbox achilles heel?? lol i havent a problem with either.. and thats with near on 300awkw everyday as its my daily driver and i also thrash it very very nicely... regular 8500rpm car service it regularly, excellent compression still and starts first go. Ive also driven evos as one of my very good friends has owned both an evo 7 and a evo 8. 2 8's actually.. The evo was 7 was just ur normal evo 7 as was on of the 8's.. the other was a MR evo 8. Now, havin been stuck with them for a while i can say that i didnt like either of them around town. No torque down low (i dont care what ur piece of paper says, they have no torque down low) and the throttle response was pretty crap. But after all it is a 2lt low comp 4 cyl engine with a reasonably sized turbo. The MR once on boost was quite fast (made over 200awkw with exhaust and filter mods with a lil extra boost ontop of the already 19psi) and it handles exceptionally well.. The GTR cant match the EVO for handling, but in straight line mumbo and out of corners... the GTR excels. Ive never had my mates evo come even close to me in a straight line or out of corners.. and when behind him in the corners, he slows me down comin out of them. The evo also understeers easily being a permanent AWD and the brakes arent as good as u think. I can out brake my mates evo.. in fact.. the faster we go, the more i can out brake him by. I would never own an EVO as they are simply too slow around town (not 6krpm+) and they have no character. Plus.. like someone already mentioned.. a GTR is and always will be a GTR.
