hahaha yer u can sorta brag i guess hahah... u need the power to get there thou and loads of torque and sucks to have a n/a box
-
sounds like same ratios as me.. cept the redline.. 4000rpm @ 160km/h sounds about right. and i was edging on 7000rpm when i tested it.. was still pullin reasonably well... dont think it wouldve reached 300... maybe 290... i woulda been doing about 274. ive estimated that our ratios given a higher redline is capable of well over 300km/h

150 Rwkw On A R32 Gtr! (update 6 Apr)
Bumblebee replied to Styline GTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
his not wrong.. ur wrong a stock gtr will pull about 170-180 @ all 4 wheels in stock trim... they dont make 206kw @ fly either.. that was just the manufacters claim to keep the government happy just like supras. They make more like 220-230kw @ fly. and 220rwkw is pretty weak for a "full" tune power fc.. most ppl make around that with just exhaust, filters and some boost @ all 4... with comp most ppl look @ around 230-240 @ all 4.... I made 287kw @ all 4's with just a pair some hi flows... they arent much bigger than stock and certainly smaller than N1 spec turbos.. -
ok not a problem. I thought id try with u since ur local. Good luck with the sale champ
-
well im about to purchase one for 1100 delivered.. if u can beat that price then ill buy it from u. or even if u can match the price coz ur in melb atleast.. the one im buyin is from my mate in adelaide

Well dont assume. I wasnt allowed purely because it was bridgeported turbo. Upon further investigation (i talked with izzy from selectmaz) i found that engine mods were to be minimal. He runs a s3 Rx7 in which he wins constantly and it has from memory an extend ported 13b engine in n/a format as that was the most he could run. It was either extend or bridgeported. But only in n/a. Turbo wasnt allowed with an engine mod.
-
theres a big difference. The main difference is that in Improved production engine mods are minimal. I had an RX7 that i wanted to enter into improved production, but due to the fact that i had gone with a bridgeport turbo engine i wasnt allowed to enter. I wasnt allowed to modifed the engine in anyway due to having a turbo. Same goes with all improved production cars. If u look at most cars, theyre are just improved. Like exhaust mods, computer, suspension mods, brakes, CAIs, And MAYBE turbo mods. But i dont think ur allowed to change those either, unless u run something like N1 turbos which are still factory turbos. As for a full blown race car like a JGTC its different. Most of theyre torque is made from mid to top due to its restrictors. But they still have fairly radical cam durations and lift. Which is way non idle lower than 1500rpm
-
its obvious ui guys dont know anything about a race V8... cam selection on an NA motor makes them very yukky down low. ever seen a drag car take off @ 2000rpm??? more like 8000rpm.. theres nothing down low. A smaller capacity engine with a tiny turbo makes more torque down low than a big highly modified V8. geez and a stock 6lt ls2 makes like 550nm @ over 4000rpm.. thats pretty fkn high for such a big motor. and thats not even modified. Plus JGTC turbocharged cars arent designed to make power uptop.. instead they make shitloads of torque from low to mid for corner exit speeds
-
GT28RS champ, cant go wrong.
-
that my silly co forum user is a nismo JGTC car lol its a racing car from Nismo
-
its amazing how a car that is so much larger and much heavier can outhandle so many other smaller cars like the nsx... its insane
-
do some homework?? lol tell that to the whole world then. the gtr is the first to have independant rear transaxle. Thats what they claim, and they wouldnt get it wrong "The Nissan GT-R features a newly developed Premium Midship package, including the world's first independent transaxle 4WD developed independently by Nissan. " i missed the 4wd part.. but its still the one and only going around
-
90% of transaxles?? the GTR is the first to have a rear mounted independant transaxle.. so plenty of other cars DONT have it because the GTR is the only car that has it atm. btw.. porsche have the engine with the box in the rear end.. its a different type of transaxle altogether. theyre setup is like every other FWD car ever invented. as alfa and everyone ur thinkin of
-
its not gonna have a manual, because the box is in the rear end of the car.. theyre not gonna run a 2mtr long connector pipe thingy from the inside of the car, to the rear.. it'll become to clumsy, its bad enough on FWD cars let alone one with the box in the boot. Plus a manual trans will shift too slow compared to what it has now
-
just going by what mr engineer said.. i didnt look inside
-
its an oz spec one. I was talking to the nissan engineer and he said that its probably going to be release jan '09'. Also asked if it was possible to purchase the one on the stand... he said no After seeing it in the flesh im definately gonna buy one once its release Forgot to add.. What they meant by Only GTR here is that its the only Oz spec GTR here... so no speedlimiter I talked to the engineer about that as well.

Hsv Unveil New 7.0l Engine W427
Bumblebee replied to Bliksem's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yes your right.. holden didnt make this engine but who said they cant make theyre own??? They can and have before.. they just think its more economical for them to purchase engines from the states as oppose to R & D they're own new engine. 7lts to make 370kw.. what a waste of space... -

Help Me Defend The Skyline Pride
Bumblebee replied to R33_Rob's topic in General Automotive Discussion
stock gtr can do 10's.. and so can the gearbox and diffs and everything else it has minus the turbos ofcourse.. bolt on mods otherwise a 10 isnt all that hard to do in a gtr and like everyone else is saying.. supra ever won a race?? le mans? bathurst??? atleast the rx7 has. supras are great drag cars. i said b4, they've got phenomenal speed and power, the engine is incredible and so is the gearbox! but its not a race car.. it only goes straight really really well.. it doesnt win races because its not suited for proper circuit work, and u supra lovers can all say oh yer but if u throw money @ them blah blah blah.. ppl have and never succeeded. why?? because its a super fast street car.. not a race car. sayin that thou.. the supra is better than a Gts-t and the GT-T -
