the only differences thatg I may know of would be only little cosmetic things like the plastic trim that surrounds the radio/Climate control and Gearshift...I know in some models the plastic is smooth black and in other models it is a rougher textured plastic and the colour looks more like dark grey....But I am not sure as to when they introduced the different plastic

yes i often wonder about many of these so called built engines you see in cars at auto salon and in magazines...They can bs all they like about whats inside and nobody will ever know

I just wish Ford would get off their butt and give us a 2 door Falcon...The ones we had in the 70's are hot...If only they could do a modern version of that...What a dissappointment the Cobra GT was...Cobra was always a 2 door...just ordinary 4 door falc with stickers...

very easy for all to criticise the guy when so very few on here have done this for a living. Everybody has that " Button " inside that if pressed the right kind of way will result in uncontrollable rage...And yes I am guilty of what the bouncer did also once.... Why? well I copped a cheap punch in the face from a guy bigger than me when I wasnt looking...Rage took over...Before I knew it I kicked the guy 6 feet across the floor...Do I regret what I did ? Yes I do....But I am only human...I have my limitations..just like that bouncer did

fantastic car...however grossly overpriced...knock it down in the 90k bracket and it would be far more reasonable

very good point...As is the case with any of the front drive drag cars in that category be it honda or chevrolet..They have more in common with a remote control car than a streetcar...just a fibreglass shell over a tube chassis..Engine has been moved forward for weight transfer and even angled forward for weight transfer reasons.Wheelybars are set with positive lift tension on them.Anything and everything has been moved over the front wheels...Tub style front end with huge slicks...and the back of the car is sheet aluminium underneath with skinny wheels on the back...you could probable lift the whole back of the car bare handed...all that coupled with a very impressive 4 banger making ridiculous horsepower

Nothing against the civic as its a bullet car but lets think about the run itself...The civic must have been running drag slicks or it was a roll on race from some speed...No way in the world is a front drive car going to squeeze 580 horsepower through street tyres to the road in 1st or 2nd gear without violent wheelspin and torque steering...Hell I think it would have still kept the tyres ablaze in 3rd gear also....Fast car no doubt..... My 2nd point...Why come onto a skyline forum and start boasting the Hondas ? sure they are great cars but I wouldnt be jumping onto a Honda forum waving the Skyline flag...my 2 cents

Its a tough call...Having done bouncer work a few years ago it really can be a great job at the best of times and a shithole at the worst of times...Sometimes you will encounter people who will not stop until they are belted senseless..it is just something they want deep down inside. The cameras can sometimes be your best friend or your worst enemy..knowing how to make yourself look professional at the same time is the biggest challenge

R35 GTR isnt a drag car pure and simple.. it wasnt built for drag racing. The fact that it posts a pretty quick time is credit to Nissans engineering. As for the civic beating it.....No big deal...that car has been built for that kind of speed.look at its power to weight ratio...Any car with the right amount of work and money sowed into it can run considerably faster drag times...Hell I have seen a turbo 250 cortina run 9's, even a 202 commodore run 10's.I even know a guy with a 351 XB falcon single 4 barrel carb, no NOS cast heads that runs a 10 flat...its not impossible...just relative to how much has been done to it..

pretty much any of the aftermarket 3.5 " exhausts are gonna be loud. Why you want to go so loud that you would be inviting a defect notice is puzzling me...

right on....somebody hit the nail right on the head....Stamp duty.....By far the biggest rip off of all time..No wonder why the real estate market is dead as a doornail..Abolish Stamp duty or at least reduce it and watch the real estate market come alive...So many poor renters doing it tough...well.Get off your butt and buy a house ! simple...oh no that means they cant afford repayments on other things like Brand new 6 Ltr V8 SS Commodore, Plasma TV, surround sound....Ooops looks like I started my rant...

What's usable torque going to achieve if you have to change up a gear at 3,000RPM? When was the last time you were out-dragged by a bus? Why do you think F1 cars rev to the sky rather than rely on bottom end torque? Hey I drive one of these......You would be surprised how well the newer ones accelerate when they are up on boost....specially up a hill...I get lots of 4 bangers pinging next to me climbing hills...trying to keep up

momo is great stuff.....But I am not so keen on the pedals thing...never have been....but for steering wheels ...second to none...I love them to death...next car will definately have one...

wouldnt going for a front facing plenum greatly improve boost response ? As there is maybe a metre of intercooler piping eliminated assuming you would have went the pipe across the radiator layout which seems most common. I would think that max power wouldnt improve at all however drivability should be noticably improved...

wow so much of it we pay is in tax...what I would love to know or calculate some day when I am bored, is just what percentage of the average wage goes in taxes...Not just income tax, but GST on an average weekly food/petrol budget, just normal day to day spending ...I would love to know what percentage of an average wage goes in taxes...anybody here mathematically gifted ?
