if you put a drift wing on it will change the aerodynamics of the car, the "wings" as you call then help in keeping the rear end stable at high speeds as it channels the air flow coming over the roof, it increases the velocity at which the air is travelling by squeezing into the area between the fins. this massive pressure increase causes a vacuum behind the car which sucks the rear end to the ground, increasing traction and high speed stability in a straight line, as its not affected by cross winds or wind drag. that is probably why you should leave it alone as the previous owner has taken it off for such reasons and is why you were able to run an 11sec pass with only standard mods. ask any racer..... any real racer.

that method works... but with alloy, it bruises and that shit just cannot be buffed out. a cheap way to do it is with 3 pieces of angle iron and some heavy duty hinges. weld a handle on one piece, join it to another piece with the hinges and bolt one piece of angle to the bench, so the other bit swings in the breeze.. use the 3rd piece of angle as your clamp with some bolts or someway of securing it. ive used this for a little bit before, and it works on 2mm thick alloy, its cheap and lightweight. have just invested in a proper panbrake through.

i can vouch for this car... its an absolute rocket, handles on rails, and stops on a dime.... but comfortable, quiet, and sedate enough to drive around. its a very, very regretful sale, but the new owner will be stoked for many years to come. good luck shmuck.

r32's and circa SSR mesh rims go 2ge4 like brangelina. im keeping my eyes peeled for a set but i want 9.5 and 10.5 for epic fatness. going to be hard to find i know... expensive too.
