  2. Thanks Snowman, i figured as much im not too woried just wanted to check and see if is the norm, i will probably get another one or two from the trip home yet i think.
  3. mandrel is the go, get a price from those other place and ill work out what it will be around, aaa ar ok for pipes, thats where i buy the bends from but i dont think they can do all the other work you need to do, bumper trimming etc

Hi i recently drove from adelaide to geelong and today i got a sppeding fine for 104kmph in a 100 zone somewhere just in the vic border, normally in SA there is about a 10% allowance, but 4k over in a 100 zone is just stupid. Just trying to find out from you victorians if this is the norm over there, also do you know what the fine and demerit point loss would be as the vechile was registed in a company name and at the moment they just wont the driver nominated, cheers Clint

  9. What type of cooler did you end up with. All hard subjects this semester and still have 2 big assignments to do yet
  10. Here is a pic of what i did to mine. I did all the machining work myself then had the block welded to the stcok manifold, this cost over $200 to be done as it needs to be heated then welded then cooled slowly, then it needs to be faces as the manifold distorts because of the heat. If you got someone to do the job for you it would be over 400. Welding the gate to the housing is ok, but does not work as well, either does modding the stock manifold, i would just get it done propely with a new manifold or buy a diff turbo.
  11. Interesting, i know Keir Wilsons GTR runs both a power FC and a M800 motec unsure of its advantage but there must be one. You would think the motec dash would only be used with the motec computer but maybe there is just a datalogger that uses the dash to display certain info for downloading.
  12. I can help you out if you wait untill after exams have finished, mild steel does the job well and causes no problems if prepared properly.
  13. Hi Matt good to see your keeping your car, so you can have some more fun at the drags. I recently got a rb25 with the same thing, 3 pistons with cracked ring lands, apart from that everthing is perfect. I was going to just buy a std one but after seeing all the others fail i though i would build it anyway so i just bought a stuffed one, cost $800 after i sold the turbo and is basically compete and ready to be done properly for 300rwkw. Let us know what you think of nisspeed for future refrence.

  15. i wasnt accusing anyone of cheating, please tell the tyres you were running then amu they must work extremely well. Our cars are not different, both skylines, running the same gearbox and diff ratios, mines a bit smaller thats all, Busters time is only 3 thenths quicker with a extra 10 mph.
  16. well i was just questioning how you got such a low et with only 113 mph, i run 12.8 at 113mph with 1.89 60ft time on street tyres, you obviously have some tricks, especially since its a month before you are even going to run that time:)
  17. I cant be sure, but have a good look at that picture and the position of the studs in regard to the spokes, id put my money on 5 stud. but the car deffinately has GTR rear quarter pannels, so its not just a any car

  19. You can not see that the wheel has 4 or 5 studs you are just guessing from the partail pics. Its has gtr body, in rear qtr pannels, bonnet latch, bonnet , guards, brakes, int, brakes
  20. Its 11k for a gtr that is worth 11k, no more. It would be worth buying for someone that had a extra 20k to spend on it to turn it into a full on drag, street car that is going to get stripped, repainted and have engine work done anyway.

  24. Chris ill find out whats happening at work and let you know. Matt if you could post some startitng prices on stuff it would be good, i would be interested in a few items possibley, eg Turbo setup, clutch, cooler, cradle bushes.
  25. Chris, just to let you know you would need to sell me your shocks if you got the rear cradle as they would not fit on the GTR cradle
