  1. He He Cob@lt you have to buy Chris32's cooler so he can then but mine. Chris is it ok if i take it off at the end of the month, about the 25th.
  2. You have to be 21 and 24 in some places to drive a hire car Good old SA you can drive whatever you want dosent matter what you do your test in.
  3. I also have a stainless pod filter adapter that puts the filter right behind the headlight with a HKS style filter that is almost brand new $150.
  4. Standard and mild mods, eg exhaust, bit more boost, filter, big cooler etc both cars are good daily drivers (make sure you got a good alarm). If you want to do lots of mods the gtr is probably a little better to drive daily as the gts dont have any traction. The 34 is a real nice car (my old man has one) if you want a performance car and enjoy driving hard get the gtr, if you want a good cruise car with decent performance and handling get the 34 gtt.
  5. I am selling my 3'' front pipe with 3'' high flow cat converter from my car for $350.
  6. the JMS onveia rb20 powered silvia ran a 12.2 i think, it was running a std motor with big turbo etc, the silvia would weigh about 100kg less as it was stripped out. Their cerifio rand a 12.9 i think and that has just got a hks 2530 turbo. The rb20 just needs a good turbo with some good tuning.
  7. Id be interested in the boot lip if they are a good price.
  8. they started racing about 5 years age at calder park in melb when the nascars used to race, they would race around the pit lane and went pretty hard.
  9. i think the clutch master cylinder is shorter on a GTR to clear the inlet.
  10. Yeah im in, keep it later in the day as im sure people like me will have things to do in the morning.
  11. You can get spend a small amount and just do local meets quite cheap, but if you go to the top levels you need to spend big money to be competitive. I know of people that spend 50k a year to compete in the highest level here. In the last couple of months I have been to Ipswitch(QLD) and Coffs Harbour(NSW) being a mechanic for a good mate, you need to travell to get the good race meetings.
  12. Yeah they are but the hubs of the s14 and s15 dont fit streight on you need to change other stuff as well.
  13. A mate of mine did it, he got the rear brakes and hubs off a z32 n/a 300zx, and fitted the bigger brakes, and hubs as they bolted up to the driveshafts. We needed to make a bracket for the handbrake cable and get new brake lines made. On the front he got the hubs machined to 5 stud and used r32/z32 brake rotors with the 4 spot brakes. If your going to convert to 5 stud you may as well upgrade the brakes. I think you can also get s14 or s15 front hubs but you need to change other things as well.
  14. Ill see what i can find, have you tried many places where you live, eveyone seems to have some. I think RPM performance aka horsepowerinabox.com may have some
  15. Hire karts are crap, its like driving an excel, when what I race is like a 500hp gtr. A good second hand rotax is $3500, i have one for sale at the moment. Then you need helmet, suit tools etc about another $1500. You can get cheap karts for $1500 but you wouldnt want to race them.
  16. I will se what i can do it will be for a mate, any ideas how to get it to adelaide.
  17. You can go out to mallala for the day, costs about $50 and there are ather people on the track. You cant race your car, a propperly set up race car in not a good street car. If you want to race, get a go-kart and come play with me, after about 2 years you may be a decent race driver.
  18. are the na driveshafts the same as the turbo ones, do the hubs and diff have the same bolt pattern?
  19. there is a full track at air you can drive around, and is a fair bit cheaper than hiring mallala
  20. No i think is about right maybe cheaper, had a mate that race formula ford last year, i think it was about 1000 to hire mallala, and maybe $600 to hire air. Otherwise even 35 people at 100 each is alot of people.
  21. how much do you want, $50.
  22. I will need to get some shortly, rotor places here sell them for $70 each cleaned and tested.
  23. Yeah, depends on cost but If you just want to go and have some fun it is only like $800 to hire the track I think, then we could just thrash around the full track, cant get quater times thats all.
  24. Yeah if its on the right day, be good to get a base power figure before I do everythink else. Depends if Chris wants my coller soon.
  25. Just take the steering wheel off and remove the sensor behind it, that way it thinks you are going in a streight line all the time. I did this just after I got my car and it helped a lot, no lights on the dash either.
