  1. Very nice! think the white ones are the best. Whereabouts are you, mate? Welcome to SAU
  2. yeah ive heard something about stress on synchros but nothing solid... Would realy liketo have one tho, but not willing to risk gamaging anything for it tho. Anyone know? *waits for SK... darrin... brad...*
  3. have driven a 33gtst that had a short shifter - made the same noise. i asked about it - was my neighbours dads car - and he said it was on the car when he bought it 8,000km ago. no dramas. just noisy. Didnt know what it was making the noise tho!
  4. ive always used cyclops in my cars, and installe heaps of them too. I have never seen one fail. Plus you can add anything onto them. Microwave sensor (single and dual stage) ultrasonics (sinle and dual stage), tilt sensor, shocksensor, glass breakage sensor, reomote start, auto elec window up and down, works with ur turbo timer etc etc. Can get them from strathfield pretty cheaply. Guarantee youll be happy with it. Look at the S74B or S75C/
  5. hmm i wouldnt bother bridging the 4ch down to 2 channels to run the fronts. At the end of the day you will be running it through a high pass filter in your SQ install to keep thclraity up, which means that they do not need a huge amount of power. You would do better to run a speaker off each channel ie amp your rears as well, thus giving you an even sound from front and read, as opposedto just a massively overpowered front stage. pretty sure that ur pioneer 2xh is going to underpower that sub, too. For SQ, you want to have an amp that puts out a highr RS than your sub, then only run it at 1/2 to 2/3 gain so that it isnt maxing out. You get better sound when your components arent at their limits. Plus, a 15 in the boot of a car isnt the best for SQ. They take a bit of power to deliver the punch you need.
  6. yes definitely 100% in. How about for the the triple guage din in the autechs and 5spds? or to make it more viable - they run the same setup as R33 GTRs, correct? would they do a full matching set?
  7. Hi Guys Im lookin to fit a short shifter to the 260 fairly well as soon as i get the car. Which ones fit? R33 GTR? would a 33 GTST fit? not sure if there are any differences between the two as far as shifters go. Have driven a 33 with a short shifter, found it to be fantastic. Is there much difference between $300 worth of nismo/HKS and a $80 ebay item? realistically from what ive seen, its jut a shaft and pivot point - not much that can go wrong as long as the dimensions are the same. THanks in advance, guys.
  8. Just jumping in here late - very nice looking. BMW M3 in a big way. has anyone mentioned yet that all the bodywork for this car was actually done in japan...? True story.
  9. So urs is on its way to compliance in the not too distant future? what about autech axis's car? (cant remember his username exacly)
  10. pretty sure you cant turn it off!!! Introduce urself in the double unicorn chat thread! Bobbeh
  11. hey guys. what do you think of this dimension of wheels? 18x10.5 +39 and 18x10.5 +27 Being that they run +30 and +20 as standard. What dimensions are they as standard tho? 17x8? What issues do you forsee? im hoping for a look similar to alex's old white one.
  12. i saw a white S1 completely stock on Morayfield Road yesterday arvo, then saw two silver S1's in sunnybank last night. one was a completely stock RSfour, then other had a bodykit and wing etc looked pretty nice!

  21. 1bar is somewhere between 14 and 15 psi...? doesnt sound too high? I have the following to go on my 260RS - 3" exhaust inc front pipe and high flow cat, 600x300x100 fmic, apexi PFC, K&N panel filter in standard box. Running 1 bar i should see similar? are our setups fairly similar then?
  22. Congratulations! You get a star, and first choice of toy at morning tea! Thanks for answering the question. Yes i know what not having a spare tyre entails. Any input on the actual topic, mate?
  23. yeah i'll bring mine down... Means ive got a short time frame for my lil mods list Need somewhere to shack up otherwise im camping in the wagon. Need a buddy pass too.
  24. nah im thinking matt black or just hidden completely - i dont want a white bloody xbox sitting out like dogs borlz in a completely black car is all.
  25. I have heard a couple of different opinions. The two main ideas are thus - A) yes, you need to have a spare and it must be in RWC (tread, age, size, condition etc) B) No, you do not need to carry a spare, but if you do have one it must be in RWC. THing is that it sits under a false floor in the cargo area of the stagea and im thinking about running a hefty stereo incorporating said enclosure. Whats the story? CHeers Lil Bobbeh
