  1. Might be a long shot but would you happen to still have the rear 4.375 gears you mentioned above?
  2. Are there still spots remaining? Hoping to have the car running again by Sunday, if so I'll book asap!
  3. Will be interesting to see how fast you are compared to the skyline. Still have all the creature comforts like air con and a radio? Have to figure out how to recce the whole event on Fri, Saturday and Sunday afternoon while still getting the car past scruit and going to drivers briefing. Looked at hiring a gti golf but only allowed 400km per hire.. looks like 1800km in the patrol in 3 days
  4. 747, big and heavy. At least it can fly. Diffs swapped. I really should loose this alsd crap and put a mechanical in there.
  5. Yeah they will be quite heavy. Probably fine in the wet just slower and heavier tyre wear everywhere else. How does it feel to drive after the skyline? Less driver input needed? Went to bleed the alsd this afternoon and the bleed nipple on top snapped off... Have since picked up a very fresh looking asld to put back in. Good thing it's a long weekend.
  6. Looking good Ben! I'm sure you'll smash the 35s in gt4. Should be easy to drive in the wet. Kind hoping we get a wet day somewhere to mix it up (and so my tyres can last). I'm almost ready to go, only a few small jobs left then on the boat in two weeks. Don't know how I feel about the new car number 747.
  7. They do heat up quite quickly when current is drawn. Problem is in this size/capacity by the time they are heated up they are pretty much flat. On a big scale like the leaf and Tesla it probably isn't an issue.
  8. I've been running a ballistics evo2 16 cell for the last 2 and a bit years. Claimed 500cca and around 1.3kg. As Ben mentioned they hate the cold. Won't stay the car below 2 deg without the help of a jumper pack. Am going to replace this before tt next year but the crap aus $ makes them v expensive. Have found a local supplier for antigravity batteries who make one in a similar spec. May try this. Have also tosser up the idea of running a second one as backup with a switch between the two, just in case one failed mid event.
  9. Cracked our second fuel cell 30 mins into the race this morning so had to put a stock tank back in from the parts car. Lost around an hour for the tank change and pump rewire.
  10. Where are you located Josh? Does this have the standard hinge mounts on the inside?
  11. 2.5 litres of RB25DE love
  12. Damn that looks loose!!! Maybe if you pay Eastern Creek track day prices they turn a blind eye to safety.

  14. That looks good!! I'll have to see how money is going next month. Very keen if I can afford and fit it in.
  15. Long term bump. Below is still all available. Very negotiable as it's taking up room in the shed. RB26 Twin Turbo Y Pipe In great condition, painted with matte black engine paint. Price: $120 Skyline R33 GTR Centre Gauges (front torque, oil temp, boost pressure) All gauges working however one back light globe is blown. Price: $100 Spal 16" Curved Vane Thermo Fan (Pull) Fan has only been used for approximately 5000kms. Includes rubber seal however no mounting bolts or wiring kit. One section of the motor casing has been grinded by a pully with flogged engine mounts. Still works fine and does not hinder performance. Price $100 Stock R33 GTR airbox, no snorkel Comes with a clean but used (Ryco?) filter with and is supplied as is. All 4 clips that hold the two sections together are working (prone to breaking). Price $200 Stock R33 GTR Fuel Pump Does not come with the filter sock or wiring. Price $40 R33 Skyline Arial No use for this anymore on the race car. Worked fine when it was installed. Price $30 HKS SLD Speed Limit Defencer Type 1 No use for this now as I have an aftermarket ECU. Price $90
  16. That would make for a crazy afterparty Kel!
  17. Merp, I see that now. Must have scrolled past it a dozen times.
  18. New regs have come out in the last few days. EM is only up to 2002 again and no more single turbos for twin systems. E85 stays though. High country will be the last event run under the current ones. Last chance to beat me at high country Fatz
  19. Damn, should have put my name down earlier. Let me know if any spots become available.
  20. Haha that sounds like a great idea Duncan. Got around to uploading a few more vids after working out how to get my data up as gauges.
  21. I've been using one of these in the GTR in Targa events and at track days for the last 3 years. Has saved two tyres so far. One had a leaking valve, the other picked up a nail just before the end of a stage. While there may be more accurate systems or ones that provide more data this doesn't require you to remove the tyre to install the sensor or to change batteries. Can set up low pressure, high pressure and high temperature warnings which are loud enough to hear over the car when racing.
  22. Thanks guys. Great to meet a few new faces this year too. I don't like this back to work and reality business though... Besides loosing the power steering belt for 3 stages on day 3 and having the computer go into engine protection twice on day 2 the car ran really well. I've been braking a lot later and harder which means a lot more pad and rotor wear. I really doubt the rotors would have lasted another 100kms of racing. Going to try go from 343mm to 356mm on the front before the next one to see if that helps increase rotor life at all. Cams were onto the weights this year and got us on the scales twice. With a bit over 1/4 of a tank after Riana we were 1733kg (minimum weight is 1630kg). That's including ~30kg for the spare wheel and a few tools/spares. Not sure where it can come from but I'm going to do everything I can to bring that closer to the minimum next time. Might be time for a wrap or respray too. Showing quite a few scratches and chips on the front now. Having issues getting speed/rpm from the data log up so only have two vids for now. Will post more later. Georgetown, 2nd fastest in EM, 5th outright. Sideling, Fastest in EM, 6th outright. Audio from our headsets didn't record properly on this one. We fell off pacenotes for a few kms past the long straight 2/3rds of the way in.
  23. Wooo! Thanks Duncan. Still can't believe we did it. Managed 6th outright too which I'm amazed with. I'll post up some videos tomorrow. Time to party now...
