  4. Well if you're going to all the effort of fitting a stroker, you'll be sorting the head out too. Really, you won't be dicking around with "drop in's". Relieve the head and get some lift up it.

  9. Can of worms there. A 250 KW 2530 turbocharged GTR either has something wrong with it or has 10 psi running through it. Some believe the HKS turbo's are super dooper compared to their garrett counter parts - You be the judge of that . 2530's are too big for a stock standard engine (this is only my opinion)... unless you're a straight line guy. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/254450-79s-or-5s-garretts/ Here is a 48 page thread -7/-9 (N1 pr GT SS) VS -5 (close enough to 2530's.)

  12. What fuel pump are/will you be using, Disco?
  13. What CR was the engine built to? Have you checked with a second gauge to confirm the first gauge is accurate?
  14. Has it had the mixtures and timing looked at after being screwed together?
  15. What's the piston to bore clearance that HKS recommend and what was the engine actually built to?
  16. drop in means they fit without head mod (shimming doesn't count here). How does Tomei know what the user wants out of his setup?
  17. Sitting there idling doesn't do anything for ring seal. Got to get the gases in behind the rings to push them against the bore otherwise they're just "going for the ride". http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm Give that a read.
  18. Has the engine seen any load at all? Idling for 30 minutes is suicide.
