  1. You'll struggle to get 400-450 out of -5's if your setup isn't sorted. I believe an old member by the name of JAGR33 (jack) did a back to back between these two setups and the -5's delivered way more midrange with just as much topend. I'll try and find the post. What's the rest of the setup like?
  2. You don't need 272 cams for -7's. Total mismatch there.
  3. Precision 6466 will do it so will a EFR 9180.
  4. 285 35 18 RSR's (don't get them, I don't know what all the fuss is about) on 18 x 10.0 + 12 wheels. No scrubbing issues on the inside, however when hard up it and hitting a decent bump, the tyre will hit the guard slightly. The 285's did bulge a bit on the 10 inch rim/RSR combo. A 275 would be a better fit.
  5. Nismo twin. Little more exxy but very user friendly, sprung centre and will last forever.
  6. If you're going to the effort of stroking it, you shouldn't be dicking around with fairy poncams anyway. Too much duration for the lift IMO.
  7. You won't get 5's coming on like 7's, no way. Put the standard cams back in or spend some coin and buy some form or V cam/ VCT. As Brett said above, more cubes.
  8. Forget trying to diagnose it, just rip it out and forget about it.
  9. 0.6 is tight. Do you really need to go that small?
  10. Wtf is a stage two cam man? It ain't Gran Turismo.
  11. Don't dick around with piggy backs. Get a decent ecu. Stage 2 cam? You don't need an N1 block.
  12. Yep. Total hate for the banana here. *walks away mumbling under his breath*
  13. RB 20's don't have a heat exchanger like the 26's do. They seem to be going ok for the last 25 years.
  14. They both have taller ratios. Assuming a 265/35x18 tyre and stock ratios and a rev limit of 8000 RPM the speeds are as follow Stock 1st - 75 2nd - 120 3rd - 180 PPG Helical and straight cut dog 1st - 89 2nd - 143 3rd - 189 OS GIKEN 1st - 87 2nd - 138 3rd - 190
  15. Factory diffs belong in the dumpster!
  16. They're not sequentials but. H pattern, 6 speed dog. Not too keen on being the "test dummy" for a new product but OS88 option 2. Done!
  17. Flick Tom a email at PPG. He owns the ex PPG demo GTR and says the box has been in the car for 7 years, 40,000 kms and no issues/freshen ups. That's the helical 1-4 dog set. How much do you value lightening fast shifts? Don't forget, that particular gear set, the ratios are substantially taller than factory (1-3).
