  1. The Greddy Profec b II seems to come up alot when peeps get asked what to get........seems to be a pretty reliable unit and easy to use from what I'm hearing. I had a HKS EVC 5 on the 34R and apart from being very expensive, it was a pain to use (supposed to be a good product though).
  2. at this stage of the game with the Dyno day only a few days away, and as there are still a handfull of peeps that haven't paid yet, please either pay immediately or contact Ruby to notify your intentions. As of tomorrow you stand to lose your spots and anyone else interested can put their hands up. 5) Vu <-- withdrawn 8) JMW 12) Nightcrawler 14) Bit Sus 19) writeoff 20) 23) Red Back
  3. LOL Roo, you highlighted my quote re "Old School Muscle" then refer to your Stag............is that like the Triumph V8 Stag variety??
  4. Is this another Wasteland thread or a "Villis" thread you guys are gonna log on one day and find 80% of your threads locked Every thread is turning into Wasteland lately..........don't get me wrong, the odd off topic post gets overlooked but when I get page after page of shit in about 10 threads, it gets a little weary
  5. I've been speaking to Gareth and at 23, we'd be able to fit another couple........be nice to have some old school muscle there for sure
  6. Correct Josh.....a drag slick is a totally different animal to a circuit slick. Unlike a circuit slick which can be eased out of traction loss, unfortunately there's no such thing for a drag slick, it's either on or off, no in betweens. Drag slicks have much softer compound, much taller side walls and can grow up to 50% rolling diameter at full noise...........hence why final ratios differ so much from start to finish on a single run
  7. no, just remove the master cyl cap and gently press the caliper pistons back to allow room for the thicker new pad.....finish by checking fluid level. EDIT: I just read your post again.....sounds like you're doing calipers rather than just pads, in which case yes, you will need to bleed the system....you won't need a bleed kit if you've got someone pumping the pedal for you.
  8. correct.......back on topic disco boys
  9. you're right Cronic, it is crap. probably didn't need the heavy handed response though, ie. your 3rd line.
  10. LOL Cronic, I wouldn't be holding my breath on that idea
  11. he's a good boy our Stevie
  12. nah Damo's right! That's fine that this thread was resurrected with a genuine question, but don't go asking the same thing in another thread!!
  13. was a good night for sure........knew most peeps but hopeless at remembering new names. Carl, I got your message earlier, hope you're feeling better bud. Meals could've been a bit bigger though
  14. pretty much my experience with 'Adam' Andrew.........but mine will drop out 5 times a day just checking email and SAU sometimes
  15. LOL, I'd be happy with 20Gb download per month..........just fed up with ADAM's outages I'm about 3 or 4 km from the exchange and able to receive ADSL 2+ service iinet can't offer 2+ yet from my exchange but Internode can.........just dearer than ADAM and would mean changing email addresses which is a pain

    Afl 2010

and its only been the last few years that any VICs have been able to make the top 4........dominated by the few interstaters for most of the time (unlike the 10 teams you guys have to pick from)
  17. Any idea how they compare with Adam? The fact that they do a home line bundle is appealing. I put my landline number in & it told me that my area (St Marys) supports Broadband 1 up to 8000k
  18. piss off Damo You'll probably find that comparissons between the 2 cars will be similar at any age group
  19. so how much then?
  20. just found my bill..........cost under $900 and valued at nearly twice that of a non V-Spec 34R. I'd say that it is def somewhat cheaper than a Skyline
  21. for you or for me? costs me approx $1K
  22. at what cost though? and what's the performance like?
  23. imagine if all the owners of other stolen cars took the same precautions as you did.........less than half the Skylines would be stolen and your premiums would be relatively reasonable. Good work.
  24. yeah, as Dale said Adam. If your pistion is totally stuffed, I'm guessing it's also had an effect on your cylinder......which will then need to be bored along with the other cylinders (plus new oversize pistons & rings). Even if the bore has not been marked by debris, you'll still need new rings for that second hand piston and at the very least, have it lightly honed (and ridge removed if any to avoid top ring damage) otherwise the rings for that cylinder won't bed in & therefore won't hold compression or control oil blow-by.
  25. Alot of questions there Adam. Firstly, to remove a piston from the top, you need access to the bottom end, hence why engine should be removed. If there are bits everywhere, more than likely the above will need to be done. If the guy's bottom end siezed, don't touch it!! Hopefully that answers most of your queries EDIT: If you remove the piston in question and it looks OK once you've cleaned all the shit out, there maybe a case for using it again......if the piston is damaged however, changing just one piston may also be a possibility. Without sighting anything though, we're pissing in the wind unfortunately.
