I'm not posting just to bag any one particular clutch but in general terms. There's a reason why copper mix clutches cost so much. It's not a hard exercise to engineer and manufacture a cheap plate that'll bite your flywheel like a Detroit Locker but at what expense you may ask? These cheaper alternatives are not very forgiving to other drive components......as strange as this may sound, a little bit of clutch slip (even from a new plate) is actually not a bad thing. Would you spend $10K on a set of Alcons then run solid metal pads for everyday street use....your nice shiny rotors wouldn't last very long.....use an extra set of pads and save your investment. Pads are an expendable item and as such clutch plates should be seen in the same way. Pads should be seen as the first point of contact in making something come to a halt and in a similar but opposite manner, clutches are the first point of contact in power distribution. Start breaking drivelines by using cheap in/out style clutches (which are also a pig in traffic) and you'll end up spending a shitload more cash than a decent clutch would've cost in the first place. I've seen GTR's with alot less power than I was making smash gearboxes, diffs, tailshafts (you name it) all in the name of finding a cheap clutch that'll hold 400kw....big deal.

I feel sorry for Aker but he's his own worst enemy..........I don't ever recall a player having ever been sacked from 2 clubs. The guy unfortunately doesn't understand all the "C" words: club culture, comradery, conduct & code......if he was an outlaw biker, he'd be dead man walking. Aker refuses to look past his nose at the wider picture but would rather argue tit for tat about little issues cause he knows he'd win the little arguements rather than see that 1 player is never bigger than the club. Sam Newman took his side cause he felt obliged after dropping his name in when he shouldn't have and managed to suck in the whole audience with his eloquent speech......Gary Lyon was the only one there that was credible by offering his views from the perspective of an ex champion player, Captain, and true club man. Aker needs to wake up cause the world doesn't revolve around him even if he was in the top 10 best players in the AFL........which he's not by a long shot. I've heard the arguement that if he was in the top 10 best players in the AFL, that they wouldn't have sacked him........maybe not, but they'd be barely putting up with him. Sure he had a big say in the 3 Lion's flags but that was almost a decade ago, now he's extra baggage with more of a liability than an asset to the club.

Look, I don't want to harp on the poor dudes misfortunes so I'll keep it general. You may think that just because there is no insurance claim to be made here, that there won't be a ramification to insurance premiums as a result...........WRONG!! Everytime a Skyline (or any import for that matter) gets knocked off, it becomes a statistic and is therefore logged. Insurance companies adjust premiums to their clientelle 2 fold; (1). $$ spent in claims (2). the ABS website. Now anyone else on this forum without at least ONE of these items that Andrew has mentioned (ie. Alarm, tracking device, club lock or even a big dog), please don't complain about other members on here having a go about the obvious, especially after reading this thread and then getting your car stolen. Please note, I have had a car stolen many many years ago and can therefore feel your pain, so this is moreso aimed at anyone who reads this and still does nothing about it......if you can't afford one of these security measures, you can't afford your car. /rant....sorry to offend

Josh, if your injectors are already at 94% @ 10 psi, you do need injectors. Alternatively turn the boost down or lay off the go pedal cause she's gonna start running lean very soon.
