  1. But what about rwd? You can only enter two cars, irrespective of layout?
  2. Its basically a hack job Mistu turbo by Forced Performance. They have a 73mm billet compressor, hence the 73HTA tag. Mine runs an L2 turbine and will throw my 8cm housing on it. Meant to flow 15% more then an 20G wheel for the same response. Will see how close it comes to the claim. Be nice to have T67 power with 20G response
  3. Ok, so...now I just need to find a week and about 2k for dyno and spanner time. The quest to find the ideal setup on an RB20. The turbos I have to try with my 6boost manifold and Turbosmart gate are: TD05-18G 8cm TD06-20G 10cm TD06L2-73HTA 8cm TD06L2-73HTA 10cm All to be benchlined against my TD06-20G 8cm. The best setup will also get my baby Tomei Poncams installed and tested and then whichever setup looks the best will get a gut full of E85. It will have to go back to 98 but going to lean on it and see what I can get my track times down to with my next purchase of new tyres. Once they are past their best will throw it back to 98 for convenience. I hope the TD06L2-73HTA 8cm lives up to its promise as I want to see how a std RB20 will handle 15min track sessions with that sort of power. I know I should not get my hopes up but am hoping I can get about 260rwkws from the TD05H-18G with E85. Would be nice if I can make +310rwkws with the 73HTA. It is meant to flow 54lb/min, which I suspect may be the start of where it may be worthwile having the baby cams with the plazmaman I have a Trust T67-25G and TD06SH-25G laying around but they are way too much turbo for an RB20 and they are sitting around waiting for my RB24
  4. Hey Ash, how are we going for Street Car class? I am thinking my car with some good streets may do ok since most of our rwd crowd are probably not running factory engine and gearbox. Shame about Time Attack not using the long track...but if you are struggling for competitive entrant for rwd street class then I would be happy to give it a nudge
  5. I grabbed a Lotus jacket in Hungary last year. Fark RBR! I am pretty pumped that 3 months later they have Romain and Kimi in the seat/s!
  6. Will be interesting to measure up my turbine on my TD06-20G. My Trust compressor cover doesnt have any prefixes after the TD06. So I thought this may have meant it was a TD06S in Mitsu speak. I was trying to equate it to a Kando turbo and his plain TD06 is a bigger wheel and would not fit inside the T67 turbine housing like mine does. I believe my wheel shares the same dimensions as the L2, just has 12 blades or different pitch/back cut etc.
  7. I suspected he was. I have never seen a SH-20G. Looking at a L2 vs SH, I would be shocked if it spooled the same. Yep, tend to agree. If you mean SH vs L2 off the T67 then I can tell you the TD06SH-25G makes about 20rwkws more but is a little less responsive. Look at the below pics of the differences in turbines and you can see why. Back in the day a mate had and a circle of people around him all went Trust crazy and that's part of the reason I ended up with a 20G. The TD06SH was down on power vs the T67 up to around 4,500rpm then it out grunted it all the way to the rev limit. Reading the posts above on this page I think some of the above posts seem to suggest an SH makes ~18psi by 4,200rpm on an RB20.; which happens to be when I make about 20psi on my TD06. I think you will find if you ran an SH wheel you would be making boost about 500rpm later, similar to if you ran a 10cm housing rather than 8cm
  8. Probably just sub box. Will measure up the back of my car on Thursday and let you know.
  9. Are peopld calling the plain TD06 the "h" variant? If so what are they calling the SH wheel? I find the Trust speak easier to follow. When my TD05 arrives I will take photos of them all side by side and you will see the clear differencbetween TD06/L2 and the SH
  10. Throw a tape measure over the box for me. If it fits the back hatch of my Sierra I will grab it off you
  11. He is flat out cleaning off all the oil my Sierra dropped over his driveway. I think 5-6 months he will have it all cleaned and may surface again
  12. In the vid they say under 100kgs! Can you get an Evo 7 under 100kgs. Maybe with a bugger all cage and no uber looms for all the fancy logging the car runs?!?!?
  13. Ash, tell Racing' Jason that I will pay for fuel, tyres and fluids if I get to punt his car. Coaxing big singles with lags is my specialty
  14. Nice work if you can get it!
  15. Dont you dare enter your car in the SNS Dan! It should be entered and being driven, not sitting in a grassy paddock
  16. I have not seen that many cars running E85 day to day. Those that I have seen running normally take forever to crank and idle like cops until warm etc if they dont foul plugs. Is there someting in the tuning of them or thats just the nature of the beast. Certainly I am yet to see an E85 powered car crank to life like on 98 and not splutter blowing sweet smelling fumes out the exhaust. Not saying this is how it has to be...just that those I have seen have put me off it as there must be a trick to getting them nice for day to day
  17. Am i missing something re the compression of your motor? Compressor wheel gives you certain cfm of air. The engine makes a certain amount of hp with that airflow. The compression ratio doesnt increase or decrease back pressure or flow. It influences where you make your power and the amount of ignition the engine can take. So not sure I would agree that because you have a higher compression you need to run a bigger housing.
  18. Why if only running a 2L would you want to run the bigger turbine and associated lag of the TD06? Especially if you are only flowing the lbs of air from the smaller 18G compressor?
  19. Yeh, I aint big on maintenance and the thought of alloy nuts worries me so I run good olf fashioned steel nuts as well. Albeit pretty Rays ones What, you have ripped the RB20 out for me Keen to take the old girl for a punt around Wakefield when I collect it. Will need to bring two rims up in the plane and get some semis in Sydney somewhere.
  20. So what does all this SKY stuff mean to us Aussie punters. There is nothing in ONE or on FOXTEL explaining what it means to Aussie viewers
  21. If its any help I can measure and take photos of those two turbos I have at home this weekend. They are Greddy versions , not Kando so the exhaust housing dimensions will be different as Greddy are 3 bolt Mitsu housings and Kando T3 typically
  22. 3 seconds? I think things are happening far quicker then that. Most of the good tuners I know about tune off a bung in the dump pipe before the cat. They would readily be able to equate instrument readings for those customers off the street who dont have their car fitted with a bung so not a big deal to stick it up the muffler
  23. Well, if nothing else will be interesting to see Bruno up against that Maldanado bloke....how much road rage can we expect this year? Christ i hope some of the engineering changes made last year see a change in fortunes
  24. 10cm rear housing with a bung and polished cover. Is it in Sydney? Does the blue Trust tag on the compressor cover been rubbed off where the housing was polished?
  25. Some thoughts,. There is no way an R33 turbo should be hitting boost later then my TD06-20G. How well do you know your tuner? I personally would fit a section of flanged pipe in place of the cat for tuning. Have a close look at the boost controller as an R33 turbo with an R32 actuator will run about 13-14psi and probably hold boost better then that setup in it. At the end of the day the dyno readout is just a figure but I cant believe it would be that far out and suspect you are right that the setup has more in it. Also the fuel economy seems bad as well. I get about 12--14L/100km potting around city driving. On the highway I get between 9-10L/100km. So perhaps make sure your AFM is clean and the O2 sensor is functioning correctly too
