There is a mob in the UK which when i was there last year I went in and looked at what they had with the intention of getting a POV1.0 (The 1.5 had just been releasted) I was told that they are a good thing, the only real problem is that if you are driving along and turn a corner and are now heading into brighter light etc then they dont handle the changes in lighting as well as the POV1.5!??! But really, how in the hell would you know unless you tried it? Mounting position, refraction of glass etc would all impact it I imagine. But, that was my concern, the ability to handle changing light when mounted in a car...i hope i chose the right camera!
  2. I am not fussed about all this RBR wills struggle. Vettel blitzed them in Valencia. Webber grabbed P2 in Canada where he would have had a top 3 finish had he not been d1cked by gearbox problems. Spa has more high speed corners then Canada so I think RBR will be fine. Both cars easily in the Top 5. Probably top 4 as I dont think Button and Massa will get their shit together.

  6. Doesnt that suck! When i grabbed a house and had a garage, I always planned on jigging up a rear end out of chrome moly with some of the base alignment of later model Skylines and lower ride height! Oh well....its been done now

  11. Nice piece of kit. I am running a TD06-20G with 8cm housing. I happen to have a TD06-25G with 10cm housing and a spare 8cm housing for it. I am tempted to it on my car...but be great if you had a plot and power figure to give me an idea of what i could expect
  12. LOL, dont mean to be negative in your thread, and what is already a neat GTR..... but in my opinion give up on this penchant for response If you want response go big cc NA. People spend all this money on response, then only to find that the things pitch like bastards in corners when you pick up the throttle or have more lift off oversteer when you need to get back off the loud pedal. There is sensible power delivery, then there is the 4-10k people spend on building something that has 15kws more at 4,000rpm and spools harder...which like i said in a corner just means you are making the frond end lighter sooner as you get more dramatic weight transfer etc etc. Can understand this if you are on slicks in a racing category. Where corner exit is critical to get right to give you a chance of getting past someone. But you are driving around on a circuit racing your last lap time. And it doesnt sound like you are doing this all by your own hand in the middle of the night with your shed full of tools ie ylwgtr2 or Risking Dont get me wrong, its your car and you have to love what it is. Nobody understands that better then me with my car But you said this was a budget GTR , remember what happened to your last track car! Track cars can die a quick death for the silliest of reasons. If its a road car with occassional light track work then ok. Byt using it as a development bed for uni thesis and aero etc etc. Its ot going to be a road car seeing a bit of track work
  13. Your budget track GTR already has $1000 woth of dump pipe. $1000 worth of front pipe and $1000 worth of cat and cat back exhaust. Sounds like a $6000 turbo upgrade is going in! How much did you spend on the car? See this is why i dont mess with GTRs! Good intentiones get so out of control. You are better of buying the top dollar 35k R32 rather then buidling one up....or just be content to overfill the sump, dont rev it over 7,5000rpm and just get out there and pump out lap after lap, If you improve your PB by 0.3sec then youhave had a great day! But....that said....some cool things you are getting for the bus....be interesting how hard it is to get it quicker then your GTS25t

  15. Well, at those revs nothing in the std RB26 head is going to be all that flash either. So the NEO head is later model, from reports flows perfectly fine. Has variable timing on the inlet cam, something the RB26 does not have. And there are people that can adapt the inlet plenum to the Neo head. So, I dont think its all that far fetched... i think the bigger issue is if you are spinning the thing that hard is you will have to look at the pulley sizes as your PS and water pumps will be going like crazy and that probably wont be great

  17. I once read a similar question about ViPec being posted and saw a Vic guys response which wasa picture of the ViPec box being used as a door stop. Harsh, but originally there were some integration problems, I dont think the EBC finction is still working properly. Many have great success, others seem to struggle with needing a few tweaks. But the end result seems great. Not trying to write off the product, but I think its important to consider as if its not the recommendation of your tuner then it means the time and expense, dyno time etc getting the ECU working is likely to come out of your pocket in tune time. If he tells you to go ViPec then odds are he has his head around the little gremlins and/or wont charge you to flash/fix issues etc

  21. Power Enterprises, Apexi and probably others use IHI turbos so whilst you may be able to find something similar. Appreciate that they are more expesnive, less common and most importantly off a car that has 2.8L

  23. LOL, ahh that was a funny day. You and Geoff really helped me out of a bind! Its funny. I look at those pics and I honestly think it looked better with those wheels, factory paint and bodykit then it does now What do they say about dont fix what aint broke! LOL, though I suppose it was broke And it will be back on track soon Jack, early October actually. But before then I need to get some practice, so next month doing a track day at Silverstone, two days at Nurburgring and a day at Spa. Should get my eye back in
