  1. Bags packed and in a few hours will be on a plane. Cant wait for Monza! COME ON MARK!
  2. If you have a spare 100k then you should give it to me. Saw this cars absolute twin the other day...not sure I would want the identical car running around...but cant blame two cars turning out very similar when they are such great things
  3. Or until you sell it from a pump for who cares how much, as long as its a steady supply across the state .... I really don't care. Or until I can cheaply get volumes of it to my house and my mechanics place so i can use it only for track days and other motorsport uses then ....I really don't care. No doubt a quality product with an application...but from what I am reading its not available enough, the same price and really is a performance brew, much lik eother EFL etc race fuels. But, interesting point about the anti-inhibitors etc and well worth considering
  4. ...but, but...but it's in the US!
  5. That pub did pour a good cold beer and grill a mean toasted sandwich!
  6. The nav gig is sooo easy. I remember my one and only effort..plain sailing. 3-2-1...100, Left three 200 ..."off notes" then sit back and watch the driver get all upset and dodge trees
  7. This is how perfctly good parts get into trouble. The Nitto gear seems good quality, has a few cars out there doing good things and are a credible product in their own right. They could very well be better then CP or Arias. But that doesnt make the other brands sh1t. They other brands are proven in so many builds to the point that the same bad tune, wayward sprk plug tip, failed fuel pump etc would kill a motor with Nitto pistons as quickly as CP I question having a rod and piston strong enough to do 200hp a cylinder in a 100hp a cylinder application. Its good, but surely it maybe just adds weight, cost or something to have so much head room. Its been proven before that std rods are good for many GTR builds, basic forged pistons are good for serious engine builds and the basic R33-34 crank is a good thing. Is 8k for 100-150cc worth it over a build using $1200 pistons, balances std rods and std crank (hell a new one from Nissan is $1000) So, if cash is no limit...go for it....but if you end up with 330awak turbos then what benefit is all the slightly better gear. On a +400rwkws build I suppose is when you have to start looking at the positive trade offs of some of the Nitto or other slightly better quality gear LOL, this if course the opinion of a guy that has never built an engine and drives a std RB20 "crate motor"
  8. I have a Sirroco for Fri and borrowing Count's M3 for the Saturday. I will be gettint tips on how to pilot a Sirroco this weekend when watching the Sirroco Cup that support the DTMs. Such a blokes holiday this one...cars, cars and motorsport. (hopefully a slapper here or there to boot)
  9. We will soon know. Pov in Barons car and Radcam in my car belting around Nurburgring next week. Also doing sessions in the same car so will most likely having up to 3 cameras on a car (in case the coroner needs to understand how we ended up so far off the track) I cant remember is i got 64GB or 32GB for the Radcam...i rememebr i paid extra I am doing Silverstone on Monday in a Caterham, so if sound quality is a problem then this will expose it. Hopefully the external mic mounted low in the cabin will give good engine note and not too much wind noise!
  10. I charge big money as a Nav as since you are in the same car you get to cash in on some of the "credit" my old man has with our maker!
  11. Done, my Vic SAU membership has expired recently whilst i have been os and had to clear a bunch of old PMs
  12. Electric dash...they are pretty cheap these days and rather than have gauges, then shift lights etc they are all packaged in one. You also get g-sensors so get to see if susp mods or different tyres are actually helping lateral grip when doing development work on the circuit. Also have lap timers, also is loggable so you can lo things like oil pressure, and for the cost of things like a pressure sensor can alos run things like fuel pressure etc etc all with warning lights. Consider Racepac, AiM , PI...you can buy used PI out of UK race cars with sensors for a decent price considering the quality of the gear. Speak to Meridian, they have afew options which they can look at while doing the cage, thoguh they cost a bit more then some places
  13. About 4 weeks from memory.
  14. So did you lose the cluch, or something in the hydraulics-pedal. Didnt you also lose a cluch at PI last year, where it was slipping? Shitty luck!
  15. So new manifold, gate and turbo setup are on the car and this gate was not used. Lke new condition as can be seen from the pic. Only ever used for some dyno pulls when comparing setups Hoping to get $650 for it. (TD06-25G is not for sale...unless you are really keen and going to make an offer too good to refuse )
  16. I have to say, not the worlds greatest Button fan but i think Hamo has learned a lot from him, he had grown up a little and I am actually starting to like the guy. Something I would never have said 18 months ago. I think he learnt a lot last year and knows how tuff it can be....so not as arrogant anymore. Plus, he has dropped all the hip-hop talk and attitude, now when he speaks he sounds like a car geek that just loves thrashing cars....that i like a lot more. I also wonder how much Whitmarsh and his change at the top has meant for the drivers and some freedoms. But, he still annoys me when he says he has a car slower then RBR, Ferrari and Renault-Mercedes whenever he qualifies off the front two rows "We showed today we are only 4th quickest this season" blah, blah, blah. The car isnt as good as quick as an RBR, but its not far off. And on certain tracks is probably the better race ...but you would be mad to take a 2010 McLaren over a 2010 RBR
  17. So asking $2k for the following: - TD06SL2-20G with 8 cm housing pictured above - Used Greddy RB20/25 SS tubular manifold - Used Greddy Type R Wastgeate with 8psi spring - Supply oil line and return line. Both braided PTFE with the return line covered in high temp silicon sheathing ($80 alone for sheathing) - Turbo to cat "3 Dump Pipe (mild steel) May or may not still be fibreglass wrapped - 3" Straight thru pipe in 3" cat (track only) - Turbo to inner guard cooler pipe Ideally looking for pick up from Bayswater...most the parts you need for a bolt on kit, will just need to play with your Filter to turbo piping and maybe modify your turbo to cooler pipe. If anyone wants everything minus the manifold so that they can use an ebay, 6boost, ETM manifold on their RB/SR etc then wipe of $500 from my asking price, thogh not sure what good the dump pipe will be to you ... ideally this will go to an RB25 or RB20 owner.
  18. I am not saying the stewards need to give them a penalty. Or wishing we only had 8 cars racign because it means Webber would have won. What I am saying is that in years past some of them would have bogged it in the sand trap and not have gotten out. Some would have spun their tyres and blown 30 seconds trying to get out. Webber coul dhave cery easily been one of the guys in the sand trap too....if there was one there. And I am not sayign put a wall up to damage cars either... But when you are hopelessly out braking yourself on a damp first lap, when you have loads of run off which you maybe gain time by using....well they are going to use it. ..and personally, i went off there about 3 times in the Caterham until i got my braking point right! I am betting in the Exige I will have an off there as well as it sucks you in and you want to be a hero and go later on the brakes then anyone else So brign the sandtraps back after Tues 14th Oh, there is a fine for havign to get towed out of the traps and a fine for fixing the paint damage....so lets not find Snowie-Hamo corner!
  19. Watching the replay of the race last night....i ave to echo Davidsons thoughts about tracks these days....with so much concrete run off bad driving is not being penalised. Looking at the end of the first lap, , Hamilton, Button, Vettel, Kubica all went off. Webber stayed on track, ALonso, Rubens etc all went off...there should be a big gravel trap there....you should not have a 20mtrs tour off the circuit in a kink and not suffer a loss of time. Looking at the replay, Webber took the kerb normally and lost time to all those ahead who cut the kerb!
  20. Just reading Joe Sawards post Spa comments. Seems a lot of people in the F1 press call Vettel Princess Petal! LOL, the golden child does not seem to popular in many circles
  21. Fark going quietly. Not something I am keen to ever be accused of
  22. Nice, any idea what the cage weighs?
  23. I think I will have to stock up on some RBR MW gear for the race. Count, seriously, you need to arrange some big Aussie flags to bring with you...i will try and hunt some down in the UK on the weekend.
  24. You bring the props and I am in....though not sure if its going to help me bag an Italian grid girl....though not sure if anything will be able to help me on that front. Its going to be an eipc few weeks. Going to the DTM as well now
  25. Button has been surprisingly mute about the whole thing. Is he happy he can now blame the loss of his crown due to being taken out by a silly move at a critical round? He would have been keen to be out there in the changable conditions. But really, Webber isnt getting beaten by Vettel too often and dont think Vettel can do much to help him out. Would be nice to see some tardy in and out laps so Webz jumps him in the pits at any upcoming races...but would rather see Webber just drive home the stake and keep putting it on pole and bringing home podiums and wins. Monza will surely be a happy place for the Macs, Japan a sure thing for RBR. Not sure what the go in Singapore will be.
