  1. How much power do you want, do you want the engine bay to look std, Are you willing to upgrade ECU, injectors etc? There are plenty of options for a turbo less then $2000, but all the other stuff that may be required will soon add up to $5000
  2. I have heard the same thing regarding DMS, there is a reason why they have 40, 50 and 60mm versions, and a reason why you shoudl not be tempted to go 40mm on anything larger then 1100kg that is used for anything but street driving
  3. Shit, this car was just about sold until i saw that it had a sunroof! Great specs and is a steal with the list of mods and setup. Good luck with the sale
  4. Do you have $2000, $4000 or $10,000 to spend on shocks. There is a difference between Penske, Sachs, Ohlins, Proflex, Biltein, Tein, DMS, Koni and G4 and K-Sport
  5. I have lost weight since then, lol also lost more hair too LOL, ah the good old days when WRX drivers couldnt get out of bed the morning after a night out with SAU
  6. Well i am all pumped for P1. COME ON WEBZ. Who would ever have thought he would be in the hunt. I am stoked he has won a GP, but am still beng careful about increasing expectations too much. He needs another solid podium and a few more points off Button. He can probably afford to lose to Vettel, but the important thing is he does not have a bad result when others do well (Seb last round) Its going to be an interesting weekend. Two new drivers, McLaren and Renault promising big things and Brawn going backwards. Cant help but think Rubens could spring a suprise this weekend
  7. If you have a friend like me who loves going bush for 3-4days and staying up at god awful hours and servicing cars and you have a good mate who loves and s good at navigating then then rallying is awesome. If you have to do it all yourself, i think the logistics of rallying are what keeps me out, otherwise its very cheap motorsport compared to other forms (until you bin it)
  8. If its on dirst it has to be an NA RB20 screaming its tits off in the bush. I am always thinking about it but it only takes me crewing for a friend to remind me how much of a ball ace rallying is , all the co-ordiantion. But is a blast
  9. Feel the love! Man i love Shep and silly nights out. I like that you like that i like to get messed up in Shep
  10. SOFT...all this homo talk about how to drive! I bet nobody drank for 4 hours, necked a VB long neck then hit the strippers for a further 6hours of sauce, poles, shafts and bus stop action And for the record, skidpan, LIMITER IS KING!
  11. Really? Did you modify the caliper? When i slung the GTSt caliper over some Performance Friction 340 x 32mm rotors it wasnt the divide for the piston that was the issue, it was the outer opening of the caliper where the rotor enters and leaves the caliper that had a clearance issue with the 32mm rotor.
  12. Yeh flog it off for me...please
  13. Russ, good to see you have the intercooler a polish
  14. So ? As mush as i hate wings on R32s, (LOL mine is going to look properly gheyness) if they are working then goodo. I am hoping the alloy job did the better job as that is similar to what i am running i suppose
  15. Fark me ... look at those tyres. No wonder it has good traction! How does the little Caterham thingy in the background go? After driving one recently i want to buy one and throw a supercharged S2000 motor in one.
  16. I want to see pics of this new wing!
  17. This weekend will be tough. The KERS cars are going to be hard things to beat along with Alonso, the top 5 wont be the Brawn / RBR hunting ground it was early to mid season. I am interesting to see how the old bloke in the Ferrari goes! How many years since his last race?
  18. It has been done before, it worked with good results on an R33 GTS25t track car. But to make it worthwile you really need to use an F40 or F50 Brembo 4 pot caliper as they take the 32mm rotor to start with. All the mods required to work with a std caliper makes it a bit silly (IMO), espcialy taking 2mm off its thickness.
  19. All logic goes out the window in the wet....fark knows how to drive a car quick in the wet Especially on slicks, a light car and damp...with a car pulling away in front so you just want to push on and cath him Me? I would have been ff at turn 3 lap 1 The only thing constructive i can say is you either drive the thing mega straight off boost and light throttle openings so as not to slide the thing...OR you just punt the thing sideways on every corner...you are sliding it and anticipating the slide so it doesnt catch you out and also helps throw heat into the tyres ....lol listen to me, it works when i drive go karts in the wet
  20. So what are people thinking...Renault in or out. I think its ridiculous to exclude them from a GP for what happened!
  21. You actually read something i posted ? Shame on you
  22. There isnt enough to justify a build thread Troy hits tyres at Sandown...two years later when i got sick of looking at dent car goes to panel beater. Car sits at panel beaters while i work OS Pretty sad really So hopefully will be back in Aus in November at which time i hope to be able to put fuel in and go! But still std RB20 etc etc
  23. Driving each others cars back from PI it was sad to get back in my car. The SR20 is better on the street , no doubt! Bit when driven in anger at the track i would say the RB20 does just fine. Yes, you should buy that GTSt, the exchange rate is going your way
  24. In the other thread you said he was still learning how to drive! Sh1t, i thought he showed plenty of patience in traffic, drove straight and consistant and was quick...lol wish i could do that. Good vid and good work on an awesome car!
  25. I thoughts they planned on running two events in 2009? I hope they are thinking about two rounds next year. I hate to admit it but i think the second round should be held in either WA or perhams SA. There are some serious cars in both states that dont make the track to the East Coast....and would make good numbers for the event.
