  1. Will have some in car at Spa up in a few days, but in the meantime... i am the lead car.
  2. At the end of the day MS has been staying pretty fit racing bikes, doing testings etc. He most likley will have many of his old engineers etc around him, so will gel with the team quickly meaning that is one of the biggest hurdles over. Qualifying is all mental so he will be his usual best there. Over the laps of a race he may tire at the end, but the fact that with the tyre rules being what they are means you probably cant drive the car flat and have to conserve meaning it may help with any lack of fitness or concentration over a race. I for one think the guy will be mega motivated only coming back for a few races, and to hell with upsetting Kimi, if he is that delicate a flower then he is not the guy to lead a team like Ferrari and perhaps it should be back with the complete F1 driver that is Ms, even if he needs a walker to get to the car
  3. Yeh, i am in London at the moment and the BBC just did a story that Ferari have announced MS is back to support the team and his mate Massa. Trgaedy what happened on the weekend. I was shit scared on Monday when i was driving an R400 Caterham at Spa with stuff hitting my helmet all day...thnakully it was only rubber and bugs but was in the front of my mind every session. Interesting times with all the goings ons in F1 at the moment
  4. After a day at the Ring and two days at Spa...Spa is the "Duck's gutz Max!" "
  5. Vid emailed... If ActionDan can host it I will show you real motorsport. I will import a few back to Aus so that on DECA weekends we have something to do in the early hours of the morning
  6. Who can host a vid for me i cant youtube? Not that big
  7. Looks like a different car! So you still running the same suspension, just a few tweaks and alignment? LOL, its been a fun 24hrs. Last night i was payign tuk tuk drivers to do circle work until they got them up on two wheels and almost roll. now that a GTSt is going quick i think i might just spend my money on that...espcially since me or my car wont see a track for a while to come
  8. So was Dane able to get through the day and get some solid kms on the car? Oh and did Russ blow something or was he just frying tyres ?
  9. Yeh, been interesting to see someone finally put similar effort and development into a GTSt and at the moment is going quicker them most the GTRs
  10. still for sale, i am OS so if interested maybe PM Rowdty from the post above
  11. Game, set and match. Who said you need a GTR to do quick lap times. I dotn feel like a crazed idiot anymore... It took a few years but the rwd boys are now getting a few bolt ons sorted and doing the business
  12. Whats the point of locking them up? Seriosuly, that adds to their cool badge in their Scouts Club Unless they get raped by some lifer...then they will realise what a joke their lifes are. With a tone of seriousness, if they are total and absolute wastes of space then sterilise the bastards. Imagine these idiots becoming parents? They respect very little so 8 times out of 10 dont respect the magnitude of responsibility of being a parent and fark that up as well....and whammo. In another generation we will have an even bigger problem because said tool has now had tool children x Y times. So not to say that every idot has waste of space parents... they could be very nice people but even that doesnt make them good parents. So the problem is two fold. Some people should never have children, others need help with how to raise their children. LOL, i know if i am lucky enough to become a parent my children are going to walk all over me...i am too soft and will be one of the people i am talking about needing a bit of help how not to fark up my kids Anyway, grog on and punch on...if you are as messed up as them odds are you wont feel or remember a thing
  13. Speaking personally? 1) I dont need police to tell me that i am makign an ass out of myself and about to get into trouble. 2) With booz in my belly i dont want to hurt anyone 3) Laws dont bother me, nor do their possible sentences....dont do the crime cause i cant do the time. Actually not interested in doing the crime 4) community? ...there is more things then ever to keep people entertained Look around your circle of friends and think "what is the common theme"? I know my mates are not into this sort of thing, never have been and never will. I simply think its a matter of these days parents are generally pretty shitty and the pace of life leaves no time for parenting...with mortgages/ work and lifes pressures. My Old Man never hit me, rarely raised hsi voice at me....all it took was that look...and i knew i had disappointed the most important person in my life. So i guess that means role models. When a kids parents arent his/her role models then things can perhaps go pear shaped
  14. Yeh, my observation wasnt a criticism. He never won any feeder series because generally to do so you have to hang around longer then a single season. Second season you get picked up by a better team and then with the experience of the team, tracks and championships you make a run at it in your second or 3rd effort. Mark on ability was able to catach the attention of the people at TWR, Mercedes, Flavio and Benetton...all on ability. He got his F1 seat at Minardi becase he was an Aussie , but his testing for Benetton, Arrows (Driving for them in F3000) shows that he either gives great reach arounds or guys that know far more about motorsport then any of us ever will thought the guy could drive and had potential. So that is enough for me...if the likes of Mercedes, TWR, Flavio, Frank Williams, Christian Horner think the guy deserves a paid seat, just based on testing ability and from what they haev seen of him. Another thing, is he has never been dropped from a driving line up so its not like any of his F1 teams have shown him the door. He has always left based on a stronger race offer. So, doesnt really mean anything, other then i dont think not winning FF, F3000 etc isnt a huge sin.
  15. I regret not grabbing your GTSt, i would have liked it as a registered track car, had more potential in it then my car
  16. Yeh, how many attempts did Webber ever make to win a series? I mean, if he came 2nd or 3rd in his first year did he ever hang around to try again the next year? Was it Bright or Kelly that beat him in Formula Ford?
  17. Your problem was you sold your GTSt not to buy an RB20 but to buy a GTR! ... sorry mate, i was gutted when i read what happened at DECA, such a sweet car
  18. You can say that again Baron ...but powder room gossip tells me Nicks "tale of woe" had more to do with a much bigger problem then anyway in which the engine was built or what it was doing
  19. So fast for std Which is a good thing as where the hell is the drama? Tyre screeching, oppo lock, wheelspin. windscreen wipers. I seem to recall a lot of that last time i was at OP and i was a few light years away from 1:16s ...
  20. Sure Todt was successful at Ferrari but is he that much of a Ferrari man? I mean he has a history with Peugot as well..he walked away from a CEO position...so perhaps its a little different if he was leaving a Ferrari position to fill the FIA role...or am i giving the guy too much credit hoping he is professional enough to not be biased by his former employer?
  21. LOL, what a great thread. Don't have any TV soaps worth watching here in India so this is good So much snipering... All GTR owners should simply move to Vic, for whatever reasons engines dont spin bottom ends down here and need all the sooper dooper setups cars up north need ?
  22. Wasnt it the GP after he got d1cked by the FIA for SPA? So he was driving a little agro that weekend daring the FIA to penalise him again
  23. Yeh good point re Mark. I remember at Monza last year when Hamo ran him off the track at the end of the brakign zone. It was an intentional prick move with Webber easily in sight, in the wet and after Hamo had already changed his line several times...IN A BRAKING ZONE!!!! And, no penalty. When reporters wanted a blow up from Mark, he said "jsut tough racing...no problem with that" But he did comment a few weeks later that Hamo was getting a reputation for being overly agressive...after this weekend it looks like Hamo still confuses overly aggressive with overly ambitious
  24. Bolt in cage, for street cars or any registered car for that fact i dont see the point of a weld in cage. Seats are hard to install, the floorpan is pretty shitty, and one thing i will say about Meridian is that they can do a better job with installing seats. From the cars i have seen the seating position is usually pretty high, and you can get it lower...but ts a bastard of a job in a Skylien with rails
  25. Try EKW in Melbourne. Been in business a long time, and my engine off them is perfect after 4 years of use/abuse. They dont buy locally, they only wreck std cars in Japan which have been compression tested off the starter motor and had the sumps removed for inspection. The motor cost me $600 and i swapped over manifolds and pumps etc off my old motor as they were a known qty. They come with start up warranty, and i think its well worth a phone call. Tell them you dont want the loom, turbo, manifolds, CAS etc. Real sorry to read about the dead motor
