  1. URAS posted up an interesting single cam RB30 that ran Toyota supercharger and a GT35. Have a search, i think it could be an interesting setup on a decent Rb20. Only thing is you would want to be a bit of a timkerer, or at least your mates so that the cost of doing it could be kept manageable. Bt based on the URAS setup i am guessing your 300rwkws RB20 would be more responsive then my 260rwkw RB20 running a smaller turbo. I would sell the fact that there isnt a real reliability concern at 260rwkw for an internally std RB20, but at the sort of power a GT35 will make i think you would be going into less tested water for reliability and a std engine
  2. Hope everybody has a good day. What has happened to Matt and the R34? He was knocking on the door os some nice low times but has had his share of dramas....hope he gets out there and gets a PB!
  3. Excuse the incorrect use of language, but you dont want to use a missile switch. The AVC-R has two boost settings so yo ujust go to the setting you want to run. A missile switch is a two pole( Language???) switch . You want a sinle contact button so that only whilst pressed it will complete the circuit thus giving you the scramble I have a button on my old steering wheel for it. Though i never really had enough power to justify using it. I actually used it to drop boost with the scramble feature. So when launching in 1st gear i only had 8psi then in the higher gears i used to use the normall Setting B high boost setting of 15psi on my std turbo. Like i said never really had enough power to justify using it that way, maybe make use of it now that i have more power but i dont run it anymore
  4. Will take $1100 if pick up!
  5. Some peoples average speed at Winton are less average then others
  6. To clarify, I don thave any issue with ViPec/Paul, more power to him if he is happy. Its just that i can see the day when a person buys one, costs him headaches, car is off the road while tuner works out issues and it will come back to everybody on "SAU", raves about them being better then everything from Motec to PFc. No product is that perfect and definitely not the ViPec so i just wonder why it is pushed so hard. And this is my last post on this, dont want to ruin a great thread with silly debate that belongs in another thread. But yes Paul, i was an EFT away from buying one for my car purely on all the posts you and some others have made. I am glad i stopped on the advice of a few and did some more research as i in no way wanted the heart ache that may have followed after purchase. And yo uwill find most of my advice on pushing RB20s etc is to stop people from spending money or to save money...not risk doign a mod that requires more money to be spent... but yes i do support the RB20 but its not the answer for everyone.
  7. I still dont get why you push the ViPec cart so hard? Why do you care if a picture of it is in a magazine or not? So , most importantly, what suspension and brakes will the car be running
  8. How many Moto GP teams are truly Japanese? I suspect they have plenty of Japanese technical people and money, but the management and design strategy is mostly from Europeans in the teams??????????????????
  9. Sandown. Not many people will say so but i love how its a relatively straight forward circuit with big stops and 90deg corners. It means you can muscle cars around the corners and under brakes you can really jump on it and row back through the gears. Its challenging and feasible that you can get majority of the corners nailed and get clsoe to an optimum lap. In a rwd car its fun challenging trying to get through the corners as quick as you can with a bit of kerb abd muscle then get on the power and get a clean exit....then jump on the brakes for he big stop...you feel as though you can really push on the track I can understand if you had a well sorted car you would enjoy tracks like EC, Winton and PI more...but when your cars simply gets lost mid corner because it handles like shit then its not fun having to be so careful rather then just enjoy the car. And those higher speed tracks, you jump on the loud pedal and you dotn go any quicker beucase it takes lots of hp to move through the air at over 180km/h Oran Park is GAY, its closing down Just like Amaroo, two best tracks gone!
  10. Honda and in my opinion any Japanese manufacturer should not be directly responsible for the running of a F1 team. Sorry, Honda were great engine suppliers, great backers or BAR and with Prodrive on board they started to enjoy success. They boot Prodrive and go it alone to spend years in the wilderness. They again relinquish technical control to a guy like Brawn and they turn the corner. Japanese just ont seem to be able to be leaders in design and managment. They seem to be brilliant at the grind of engineering things to perfection, but it seems they need somebody else to do the steering. Same is 100% trues with Toyota. If Toyota just jumped on board with Williams i have no doubt that Williams have the management and some technical skill whilst Toyota have the backing and untapped technical ability that just needs better leadership and direction. I hope Toyota throw in behind Williams as its the only way either team will be able to be regular top 3 teams with every 3rd or 4th season gunning for titles
  11. ...hehe, look at all this tough talk from the rwd crew. LOL i havent said a word, the cancer is spreading
  12. That thing is sSOOOO COOL! For a guy that runs a motorcycle place you sure seem to own a lot of rotary powered rice burners.
  13. Cool, this will mean we get road tyres with the performance of semis Scary cost tough,
  14. FIA have come out and said that 2010 breakaway series is dead and FOTA - FIA have agreed on a united championship next year Sux, Max says now that there is peace he wont be up for re-election....lol nice way to side step the fact that you needed to walk if FOTA was to hang around. And lastly it means we still have Bernie, so we will never get fair ticket prices, grand stands in established markets with good crowds etc etc
  15. I used to think that...but have you seriously heard her interviewed? Was not impressed at all, plus she is my age. Plenty of better , younger crumpet in the circus
  16. I used to think ol Hamo was doing ok for himself with that Mrs of his....but on the weekend leading up to the race i was watching the BBC coverage of an earlier GP this year where she was interviewed on the grid....hmm not impressed. Her voice and persona...ah didnt seem to complex or suggesting she was a thinker
  17. Thats the beauty of the internet. You can pretend to be whatever you want. I think you should be Minister for Prosperity of Infectious Diseases
  18. Oh please let them clear my brakes. Have seen this car in person and these wheels do look biblical on an R32 GTSt
  19. What have you done to my car Russ? Awww man! I have my old reo as well that you are welcome to, has been cut to suit the HKS intercooler and it clears GTR bars so you should be all set. Grab it off Mick while you are getting the intercooler. If you are stuck for headlights then let me know as i hate my std jobbies and want to get a pair of N1s which are black on the inside so may be able to come to an arrangment on ligths as well. So i may grab some from Japan if you want to buy mine ...and your car is a circuit car...not a drift car . I drifted my car for about a 12 months and after having an acco which meant i just kissed some tyres and marked my bodywork soon realised that panel beaters earn more then me and cant afford to go drifting Plus drifting at Calder soon got old, but was still a fun thing to do of a Sunday afternoon
  20. The point is you are only as good as the POS you are driving...and a better test is how you are motivated and respond when driving a POS. I think Lewis is lost. So the Sutil crash may have cost him Q2 at Silverstone. But i ask what happened at Monaco? What happened in the sphincter of the universe? This is his 3rd race in a row where he has been out in Q1 The fact that he did some circle work after Silverstone, hey may be good for the fans...but was so unprofesional. If he won the race i can understand....but i bet the team were not happy about him doing it and that is the final yardstick of whether it was right or wrong, You can see that he is very relaxed with his joking with media, taking to his Mrs seconds before going out....his head isnt in his racing at the moment. Fair enough its a bucket of a car, but he is a professional and i would rather him go back to the angry man we saw earlier in the year where at leat he was making Q2 and racign just outside of the points.
  21. LOL, you are a bigger lunatic then me...i love it Great vid!
  22. LOL, like i said, i was referring to the ZR1 so when i said C6 But disagree on all being junk....i have always loved Vettes and the current ZR1 is bliss
  23. Just for accuracy. The C4 ZR1 was a quad cam NA jobbie that was released back in 89 with 385hp, a few years later it jumped to 405hp. The current C6 is supercharged pushrod And, I like the confusion and business of a traditional manual, and during a big braking zone rowing back through the gears. I am sure the R35 is a weapon of a thng....but there is no convincing some people...which is a good thing that we all dont like the same things. Hell i would take a tweaked Exige over an R35 , lol sadly i cant see myself ever owning the cars i actually like, unless Holden release the Camaro and i am so getting my white trash hick ass into one of those
  24. Come on guys. Its a beat up because the new series is about to start, simple ratings grab
